Polar Bear Paw. Dark buttercream. Milk chocolate butter. Birthday cake. Peanut crunch. Butterscotch square, both milk and dark. These are some of my favorite candies at Sees Candies - although I must admit I've rarely eaten a candy here I didn't like. The store is spacious, clean, and cool to keep the candies at a pleasing, non-melting temperature. Staff is always friendly, and they will patiently wait for you to look at all the delicious candy and descriptions before deciding which ones you want. They will give you a sample when you walk in, and sometimes, will let you choose the sample. I used to go here an embarrassingly high number of times as a candy addict, but nowadays I walk in here with my head held high - and try not to order one of everything! read more

Went in shopping for my boyfriend's birthday. His favorite chocolate is sold here-Dark Chocolate Raspberry Cream. I purchased a half box. They put the chocolate in cute box that says, Happy Birthday. Shop is kept really organized and clean. It's huge compared to the Ventura location. Staff was ok. They were kind of annoyed at my chatty box question asking self and kept cutting me off before I finished my question. Didn't appreciate that at all but I know get they weren't interested in talking to me. I had questions .. though .. haha! I did feel they were rude since I wanted to know about the different chocolates and that's what this business is all about :) Anyway.. important thing bf was super happy. I love See's candy. Did you know on the old show I Love Lucy the candy making episode was filmed at a real candy making factory down in Pasadena ? It was the See's candy factory. Before Covid they made some by hand ! I was told this today by one of the employees. I love the milk chocolate butter cream, and you can't go wrong with the fudge. Soooooo much yummmm. I love how they still after all these years give you 1 free piece of candy !! read more

This is a big open store in the shopping center with Fry's and Olive Garden. Tucked away in the back, it's new, clean and has a large variety of boxed chocolates and their normal assortment of individual candies. I stopped in last week and was pleased to see some of my favorite candies in pre-packaged bundles, including Scotchmallows and California Brittle. They also had a ton of holiday chocolates (for Valentine's day) and seasonal small candies like sour gummies and heart-shaped foil wrapped chocolates. The employees I met were friendly and helpful, though I was not offered a free sample of chocolate like I've gotten used to at every other See's store I've been in. Oh well, it wasn't as if I needed another piece. Trying to cut back anyway. That didn't happen though, I ate my entire bag of Scotchmallows before the night was over. So good!! read more

A hidden gem in the Marketplace shopping center in Oxnard. I didn't know they were there for several years. The sales person was very nice. The store was large and clean. Ample parking. I don't understand why the bad reviews, everyone was friendly. I am used to going to the store in the mall for years. The ladies there are always nice, just as nice as they were on this location on Rose. Frankly, for a business like See's candy store, it comes down to service since the chocolate is the same at all the other See's stores. The service provided when i attended was good. Perhaps not great but there was nothing really to help me with since i knew what i wanted and made a bee line towards it. Promptly as we looked on the display we were offered a truffle to sample (always love that and expect that at any location). We were rang up with a smile, thanked for for our business and offered a card to redeem 2 free lolls with any $10 of spending. The locale itself is quite spacious, which i think will be very convenient once the holidays com around. The locations makes it super convenient if you are shopping at Marshall's or Fry's and want to avoid hitting the crowds at the mall or outlets if you want to get See's. Will be back around the holidays to see how they handle large cranky customers, haha read more

This See's store is so much more convenient than the one in the mall. It's hidden in the corner by the 99 cent store. The parking is good and they are always friendly. I had a $5 off of $25 coupon and a $20 gift card. The nice lady was new so she didn't know how to redeem my gift card so I guess I have to go back and get another box. Darn it. Lol!! See's is my favorite chocolate far better than Godiva in my opinion and much less expensive and always fresh. read more

Research shows that Chocolate increases dopamine; thus, making it healthy for you. I love this place. You walk in and automatically get a sample :p they have packed candy or you can get some packaged for you. They have so many kinds to choose from. They wrap it for you too. They always have those "sweet thanks" stickers to put on the box. Staff are always nice. The place is always clean. Prices are a bit high but you're getting quality chocolate. read more

Always liked the seasonal store openings for the holidays, and very happy they turned this into a permanent store. The space is huge, seems too big for the merchandise, but I suppose it's filled with all the people descending on the store for Valentines, Easter, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Thanksgiving and Christmas. Really love the candy, excellent old school boxes of candy with real ingredients and always fresh. You can even pick your own box, selecting only the candies you or your intended love. So much more convenient than the mall locations. Don't know what happened that people have given bad reviews, but I have only ever had good experiences here. Also: check to see if your work qualifies you for a discount! I used to get one through Verizon, I would just show my work ID. read more

I have never had to wait long and they seem to have the entire line of chocolates. The last few visits I was asked what I'd like for a free sample. That's a switch! My children suffer from exercise induce asthma, they ran from Marshall's' to See"s Candies. They were coughing some but covering their mouth when we entered the store. I was asked by the girl at the counter if my children were sick because sick people were not allowed near the candy. I go Into this shop very often and I'm always greeted with a warm welcome and a smile (And it's a plus that Sees Candies shops are always so clean and organized). Everyone who works at this location is awesome and they are all extremely knowledgeable about the candy! I went in yesterday and Ana and Jaylene were working and as always their customer service was outstanding. I don't think I will ever eat any other chocolates because the See's employees are always so great! The service was terrible. I stood their waiting 20minutes while no one would help me. I had several bulk items I wanted to purchase but I was pushed to the side because I came in dressed down and with my kids. I'm appalled and offended by the lack of hospitality. (It would be nicer if they moved over to the collection) but I visited the store a few days ago and the line was crazy due to the season no doubt. I was helped by a lady named Elizabeth she was extremely nice and helped me with all my questions. It would have been 5 stars had it not been for the one employee who was too busy putting stuff in the cases with the bagged items. At that moment all customers need to be your priority. I will keep coming to this store as long as I get to deal with the pleasant Staff. A word to management tell the staff when there is a line all hands on deck. I started out unhappy with this store as one clerk got my order wrong. On our trip we ate the assorted chocolates. When we got home from our vacation trip, I reached into the second box of See's to eat a dark chocolate chocolate buttercream. Instead I got a VANILLA buttercream. Aaargh!!! Disabled mother. Came here to purchase some vanilla truffles (my sister's favorite) to put in her "survival pack" for starting nursing school. Put my son in a cart and wheeled him in to the store. Male employee was really nasty and said I couldn't push the cart in their store---which looks like a warehouse space that had a few boxes of chocolates----because it might scratch their floor.
