I come to See's a couple times a year for my Mother's day goodies and of course their milk chocolate caramels. It's hard not to be at the mall and not grab a few of the milk chocolate caramels. They are so good! I wanted to see what kind of packaging they had for mother's day this year. Their packaging for mother's day is always so pretty! I looked at all their goodies and decided to wait another week or two to get my treats. I did notice they had the cutest little reusable bags that had a beautiful floral print on them. They were only 1.50 so I grabbed a few of them knowing they will probably sell out. They well make perfect gift bags for mother's day! I headed to the counter to purchase my bags. I wad given piece of chocolate but the sweetest sales associate while I was waiting in line to get checked out. Todd greeted me behind the counter. He also offered me a piece of chocolate. I told him that I was already given one but he insisted on giving me another piece. I didn't say no. Todd rang me up and got me all squared away. Of course my clumsy self grabbed my bags and dropped my chocolates. I picked them up and was ready to walk out the door but Todd stopped me. He gave me two fresh chocolates and had me throw the ones I dropped away. I felt so bad for dropping them but Todd reassured me that it was ok. He truly one of the nicest souls I have ever met. I will never not shop at See's. They have some great goodies and their customer service is top notch. Todd really made my experience there awesome today. I hope everyone who shops there gets to experience what Iexperienced today. It was nice. read more

The only challenge I've been having is I stopped shopping there due to lighting!! It was sooo bright in there Jan 2025 that it literally triggered a migraine and I had double vision while waiting in line!!! Like are you serious!!! It's NOT worth my head hurting for a week while I'm in this store. I wasn't in there very long also! They are always quick! But OMG!!! Tone down the lights!!! Others I spoke too well standing in line we're also saying the same thing. It was so bright in there it was giving you double vision and a migraine suffers. I know I was affected by it.!! I love sea candy. I want to be able to shop here tone down the lighting.!! it doesn't have to look like a sterile lab!! Only other thing.... my favorite candy is the apricot delights are always stale!!! I bought a whole 1 pound box and the whole thing was disgusting... ugh .. please keep them fresh. Patti was so kind and so very helpful. She helped me resolve an issue I had with an order and just kindly took care if things- she even offered me a sample (i know that's standard but, really, in this situation she would have totally been forgiven if she hadn't). The ladies working when I went in where patient and kind with everyone - the teens buying two lollipops, the lady choosing her custom mix one chocolate at a time, the customer asking multiple times about allergies, and me with my "I bought this a week back but have an issue". See's candies, as we all know is some of the best candies around. The one at Boise Towne Square has always been a great place to stop when at the mall. I always grab some pieces before leaving. However, last night I stopped in and the visit wasn't as great as it usually is. I got my candy tho...just watch out for the employee, "Jackie C" She is SUPER snooty! Very quick, very short, and snotty (in her subtle way) with the customer. Was kinda surprised because I've never dealt with such rudeness there. See's has been a staple in my life since I was very little and I was overjoyed to find one here in Boise. There's always an abundance of individual and boxed goods at the ready and the staff seem pretty easy going. They have taken good care of distancing during these uncertain times and I've very glad they reopened. When I worked at the mall I would visit often to get bags of chocolate for my crew - always helped the mood on those hard days. Who can honestly turn down a good piece of See's chocolate? read more

Stopped by here during an incredibly rushed trip to the mall. Of course, all my trips to the mall are incredibly rushed. The mall and I have a perfunctory, occasional, and somewhat antagonistic relationship. Especially during the holidays. However, there I was in said mall in want of some chocolate-y gifts for my chocolate loving family when I stumbled upon the crisp white garbed chocolate sellers at See's Candy (I've always felt their uniform color choice is a little ill conceived--how on earth do they manage no chocolate smudges on the starched white?). A quick loop through the small space and I had an armload of truffles, chocolate peanut butter wonders, and peanut brittle--all in pretty Christmas-y boxes. Their prices are about what one would expect for chocolates. The service is accommodating and because of this, the line moves quite slowly (as they try to ensure each patron is receiving exactly what they wish). This can be a little frustrating as you wait in line-but hard to fault them for attentive service. The product is good BUT the service is sub-par and I'm being kind. It's Christmas time and only two employees behind the counter for individual pieces. and the line of folks going out the door. A stand still. Another cash register available to handle pre-boxed items but is not being opened to address those in line with pre-boxed only items. This the second time I attempted to get pre-boxed items 7 days apart. Many in line had pre-boxed items; I wonder how long they stayed in line. I hope this review does good by getting management to listen and note how much REVENUE they are LOSING. read more

Went to this store and bought a handpicked pound of candies, selecting half of the order as Vanilla Nut Caramels. The caramels were extremely stale and hard to chew, so I contacted the store on the same day. Todd told me that he couldn't do anything, but would contact someone with authorization to remedy the situation and get back to me in a few days. After nearly a month, I went online and contacted Sees corporate office... Now a full month later, still no contact from anyone at Sees. You would think it would not be too much to expect candy, expensive as theirs is, to not be stale. read more

This review is about service, not the product, as the products are always great. I went online and placed order. I was told I would receive an email when order was ready for pickup. I received the email. Instructions were to call when I was at the store and they would bring it out. I arrived and called. Didn't ask who I was but I said I was there to pick up an order. They said doors would open shortly, even though they should have been open. So, I had to stand in line with those waiting to go in and shop, only allowing 5 in the store at any time. This waiting in line was what I was trying to avoid by ordering online. Finally I got to front of line, told them I was there to pick up order, asked my name, and the order was right there at register. So why was I in the shoppers line just to retrieve an order already placed and paid for. Could they not have a line to accommodate this? Very unorganized and full of excuses, like "we're working on it" and " still getting the kinks out" well hell , it's 2 days before Christmas, so I say no effort had been put into fixing the problem, just more excuses. Don't bother with online order if you think it will save any time, or minimize Covid exposure, because it won't read more

Sees candies is my favorite place to visit in the Boise Towne Mall. I never stop in Boise without stopping at sees candy. They always are there to welcome you and offer you a free treat. You can buy pre-boxed selections of nuts and chews or milk chocolate, dark chocolate suckers or whatever thrills your fancy. Customer service is always outstanding and an A+. You can buy as a gift and have it wrapped in the store, no charge. I love that their prices are very fair at 16.95 a pound. Consistency for over 50 years is key. I love See's!! read more

I did not appreciate the rude and rushed customer service that I got by a man that was working in the store. He would not give me individual pieces of chocolate and was very annoyed by the fact that I wanted 8 pieces. I had never been to See's Candies and was looking forward to it, but will never go again. See's is a MUST every time we go to the mall. Many times, it's the FIRST stop we make, especially if I'm with friends or family. Their customer service is excellent and my favorite employee is "Jackie C." She has a perky personality and is fast about getting your samples and selections to you, all while having the biggest smile! There was a negative comment about her and I'm not sure if that guy was expecting her to jump over the counter and hold his hand while he made his selections, but she's as kind as they come, and she would definitely have jumped over the counter if that's what the customer needed! See's employees, especially Jackie, are experts at making me feel special. It's not uncommon to get a few extra little up-and-coming samples tossed in with my purchase, "just because". There are days that I pop my head in, not to get chocolate (crazy, I know), just to see if Jackie C. is there, to say a quick "Hi". In fact, one day I was waiting for my yoga class to start and in walks Jackie. She's always got a huge smile and it was fun to visit with her in yoga class. AND, I was at my booth at Art in the Park last summer and who should come walking into my booth, but Jackie! She introduced me to her husband and we had a nice visit.
