The friendly staff are helpful and can point you in the right direction for what you need. There's an information desk to the left when you walk in and you can usually ask questions there, if there's no one there the cashiers can help. They do so many different things that I didn't know about - they rent power tools and it's super affordable (I rented a sander for 4 hrs for $10), they repair screen doors, they have garden supplies...the list goes on. During the winter, I ordered two bags of Ice Melt and had it delivered because the bags were heavy. Over the years, I have purchased live plants, tools, home-related supplies like paper towels and Glade Plug-Ins, etc. There are usually two people at the desk area when you walk in as a customer. If you pre-ordered something, they will get it out of the nearby stock room. Your name will be on the order. These are service people and they are always personable. They smile and say hello. If I don't pre-order, I usually use self-checkout and there is always a Lowe's employee at the cash registers to assist you. Since I've been shopping here for so many years, I can also say that Lowe's prices are always reasonable. The North Providence Lowe's is a really great store. The staff make the shopping experience wonderful.
