Staff was very friendly, prices fair for a hotspot like this. The fries were alright...just about as in any regular Chippy shop. The fish though was really great. Firstly it was actually two very sizeable pieces. Very crispy, inside fresh, juicy and tender. As it should be. The fried shrimp were really wonderful. Again: tasted nice and fresh. Hot and crispy. The good looking chicken breast was actually very good. And not just a chicken breast - it was pretty much half of a chicken. Very nicely grilled with great flavours. We really had a great time here. Location is very convenient, not much of a view. But a cheerful atmosphere. Food was great as was the service. Prices fair. An enjoyable lunch.

The main area is quite large and though a bit shabby looking is clean. There's a bench seat stretching along two walls so plenty space to sit and wait for your order which is usually available in 10 to 15 minutes. Prices are amongst the cheaper of the Chinese restaurants in stornoway and the food is good, highly recommend the chicken satay. They do student deals at lunch time so it can get quite busy between 1 and 2 when the local secondary gets its lunch. The staff are always friendly and helpful. You can also phone in a take-away order if you prefer so no need to wait inside, just pick it up and pay after the time they give you.
