This is the best place to find a one on one experience when purchasing unique glasses. For someone like me who unfortunately is not able to wear contacts my glasses have everything to do with my personality. I love my new funky glasses (pic to come) & how Carmen reassured me that they were the right choice for me. Also, at another bigger chain glass store (which unfortunately I bought several glasses throughout the year and 2 are giving me problems and they are under 2 yrs old) they even advised not to get any type of frameless glasses....well Carmen swore to me that they will look find with my RX and they look awesome. I so didn't want to look like I had the butts of Coke bottles to look thru. LOL I have gotten so many compliments and it's great for someone which wishes sometimes could take their glasses off and wear contacts. super duper confidence builder. Like Button :) Well I have found my new place! Awesome service (glasses take about 5 working days) & wonderful unique glasses! Ask for Carmen, she's great! :) There are many nice options starting at $69 and if you don't need the lens thinned out or care about the glare (recommend to add this) then I am sure that my pair of specs would have been a lot cheaper, but I am in love with them and I hope they last forever. They do not have the skills to make a correct prescription for the lenses, plus they do not own their own labs. They failed twice on me, they make the lenses incorrect TWICE...and now I am stuck with those usable glasses. They are very rude, not professional and they return policy is a joke. My best friend recommended SEE to me around October, after getting sick of seeing the same (slightly bent) wire frames that I've had since high school. The staff is great and the frames are interesting. Carmen and Ricardo are helpful and friendly. I went back in December for a second pair that I had been eyeing since my first visit. The price on the frames is the price you will pay, including the lenses, unless you're looking for anti-reflective lenses, which come at an additional charge. I have the anti-reflective lenses in both of my pairs and I absolutely love them. To top it off, Carmen sent me a handwritten thank you note by mail after I bought my first pair. What a nice touch! SEE has a great selection of glasses and sunglasses, from the simple but classic to the incredibly unique, including everything in between. SEE has a great selection of up-to-date frames. Their store displays are non-traditional and appealing. Associates are knowledgeable and friendly, and have been helpful in finding me the right pair of glasses. I bring an existing prescription, so I won't review their eye exam program here. The frames lean toward hipster cool, rather than timeless styles. I am not exaggerating in the least when I affirm that I have had the worst experience as a customer at the SEE eyewear store, located at 5826 Sunset Dr, South Miami 33143. First of all, I want to alert about the poor quality of the expensive and attractive eyeglass frames. Second and not less important: Twice they made the progressive glass in the optics associated with the business bad. To make matters worse, they did not reimburse me any money and they were deceiving me without offering me real solutions. I love all the SEE locations (my first experience with them was in Chicago's Lincoln Park), but this location is particularly well-run. The staff are friendly, very knowledgeable, and professional. I went in with my brother and we basically had the run of the store. The staff allowed him to try on basically every pair in the store, and were thrilled to accept our Groupon. The glasses are great and they last. The problem is customer service and the lack of management. I order a pair of glasses. One of them arrived on time and the other one did not. They never called me or my wife who also order a pair of glasses for pick up. I called repeatedly about the order that I had placed since it has been 3 1/2 weeks and have not heard from them. The south beach store replied that they will get back to me the same day I called but never did. I continuously called several times to speak to a manage and they state that the manager step out and will return in 1hr, 3 hrs. Is a shame that a company like this has poor management. I recommend anyone to buy glasses somewhere else where if you have a problem they can manage it right away. NEVER pay cash or partially cash like I did, this way at least you can resolve the matter with the credit card company. RV read more

I had the worst experience at SEE with my mother. We went in to have her pick up glasses and have someone help teach her how to use contacts. First of all, the policy on exchanges had changed since the last time she was there and the excuse was the previous employee was unaware of the correct one. That says a lot about the company's transparency. The doctor, I suppose he must be, we are looking into his license number, would not listen to why we were there, I suppose he still doesn't know. He gave his unsolicited opinion on my mother's 10 year long eye situation even though we came in with orders from my mother's actual eye doctor, Dr. Lee of Bascom Palmer (the number 1 eye hospital in the world). He said her opinion was wrong and he went on for 20 minutes about how he thought she shouldn't wear contacts. We were never there for his opinion and he failed to recognise it. I'm not sure if he's unaware working in the back room of a store in Sunset Drive does not give one the same experience and practical education of someone with a grant working at Bascom Palmer, but regardless of that, his opinion certainly doesn't trump that of a patient's 10-year doctor. Not to mention, he never actually examined her eyes, yet felt his opinion was justified based on not listening to her history. He was condescending, never listened, and I must say, sexist, as the only person he didn't speak over was the only other male in the store when caught discussing our situation. We called customer service several times and became frustrated when we kept getting voicemails, I will openly admit I was livid after seeing my mother brought to tears by the treatment from this doctor and the store. I felt helpless and frustrated as, up until that point, we had been nothing but courteous, I was even impressed how my mother held back her tears and held her composure through this man's infuriating monologue. After my ignored calls and walking in on the entire store staff laughing and discussing our matter when I went in to ask for a more direct number, and then being laughed at by the doctor for asking him to not address me, I absolutely was pushed to a new limit I was unaware even I had. I began to cry and try to make him understand our issue while he cut me off and talked over me. We only even received calls after leaving bad reviews. The only reason we did this was to work out a situation to get my mother's frames back and her reimbursement for the glasses we picked up which were poorly focused. When I first spoke to customer service they were reluctant to do anything to help because we "weren't actually physically threatened." I didn't know this was the new standard for workers in the medical profession, I wasn't aware sensitivity and bedside manner not only no longer mattered but that as long as you don't physically threaten someone, your employer will back your lack of professionalism and situational awareness, condescending sexist behavior, and reckless use of your medical license by giving opinions without examination or prior knowledge of a patient. We made clear we were not going back to the store, certainly not without an escort as their standards for employee/customer relations were so low. I feel they think we would ever repeat shop, despite the many many many times we said that was out of all questions, because in their return e-mail they decided to use my very upset voicemails as a way of boosting their ego, getting an upper hand and prohibiting us from the store. No worries, I have no intentions of ever going back or ever letting anyone I care about go near them. I also hope to prevent anyone else from having a similar unpleasant experience as it was truly heart-breaking as a daughter to see my mother dismissed, made so upset, and belittled by a man who didn't want to take the time to listen to anything other than his own voice. And to SEE, the fact that your e-mail says for us not to return to your store just proves how pathetic your listening skills are as I said to several of your poorly qualified employees, as soon as we walked out the store, we never had any intention of walking back in and all their solutions involving that didn't work for us. However, if it makes you feel better about your amoral business if you think you get the last word, feel free to think you got it and enjoy it and I hope you never wonder how many people will hear this story from us, read these reviews, and avoid your store because of the horrendous word of mouth marketing you put into play. PS - They delete all their negative reviews on Facebook which obviously is misleading of their ratings. read more
