The Pour House - Beer wall

The Pour House

Such a fun hang out spot! Came with my sister and some of her coworkers on a Wednesday night for…read moresome drinks and arcade games and had a blast with many laughs. The beer and cider selection is outstanding and it's so fun to try as many as you like. You pour!!! It's like a self-serve frozen yogurt place for brewed beverages. You get an aluminum mug you keep and a wrist band that tracks your pouring for the bill. As you pour, you see how much that drink costs and how much you have spent so far. Different selections have different prices. The band will allow up to 48 oz to be dispensed before you have to check in with the bartender to reactivate the band. My sister and I shared a band. You tap the band and then can pour as little or as much as you want in your mug. I tried eight different selections, just pouring an ounce or two for each. Flavor adventure! There's also wine on tap up on the top floor. The upstairs seating by the wine bar is better for conversation (less noise than downstairs). They also have beer bottles and cans in a cooler alongside some juice and pop (soda/coke) options. They also have the largest bar in Shalotte with many spirits. On top of all of this, there's darts, old school Pac Man and other vintage games, pinball, skee ball, basketball, and a claw machine. They cost money, but you can pay with your smart watch or phone's credit card function or with bills. Ping pong is free and has good space around it for a lively game. If you're hungry, you can order from Smoked or Wing and Fish Company which are both next door and will deliver your food to The Pour House. We had a great time. This place is worth checking out.

This place blows. Went there and the bar tender was terrible and rude. I ordered drinks anyway…read moreincluding the way overpriced beer and some food from next door too. The food was not even close to being any kiind of good (fish and chips) even the tarter sauce was bad. The beer was flat and the bartender was as cold as Sunday morning in bangor maine. Dropped about $150 in an hour and a half. Terrible experience and would never waste my money there again -0 stars

Ok, so I have a love hate with this one... I moved here 2 years ago and my youngest has wanted to…read morego here for the longest time. It's not like he craves crab legs it's the cookies, the atmosphere, the sounds of children and families having a great time... and the vibe and set up allows for all sorts of great times. There's an interior bar and exterior covered bar. The seating is a wide variety with more being exterior imo. Lots of space. The open yard out back allows for the children to run around and play while we adults throw a few back and reminisce about the days we could hold our liquor and hold ourselves upright at the same time lol. The service staff are very attentive and nice. Our waitress was very nice and we sat inside (because it was 500% humidity, plus we technically aren't tourists) so why take up space-- let the tourists have fun out there! Interior booths are HUGE. I'm talking. Seats ten lol. There are also tables. There are individual bathrooms inside but also a few sets outside as well. The set up also allows for those with disabilities to get around easily with ramps to the door to interior. There are t vs playing a variety of movies or shows even sports and there's an arcade room inside. It's not a quiet place to have convo but a place you go to hang with a group or meet for a drink. There was no outside entertainment tonight but you can easily fit some out back with a seated and standing audience. I also like how they created seating around the ramp and standing areas too. Like benches. You can have drinks and appetizers only outside whereas inside full meals. Each table inside is equipped with a full roll of paper towels because you'll need them if you get the messy meals like I did lol. They also supply individual packets of wipes if you ask. Drinks are large size. The sweet tea want fabulous and was watered down. No water was served which surpassed me but this is Wilmington so that may be a good thing lol. The food was ... ok. This is where the love hate comes in. While I know the place OSS great for a good time out with friends the food was subpar. The kids meal was one of those frozen individual sized deep dish pizza with these seasoned fries and a cookie wrapped in packing. My meal were individual size crab legs, came with fries, hush puppies (not a fan of HP btw!) and corn on the cob . Drinks aren't included in meals. All together the total with tip was $75-78. Very expensive. The taste of the butter was very... movie theater tasting of that's even a thing. The crab legs were not large or no king crab legs either. I have yet to be blown away by a restaurant with crab legs and miss SC a lot right now! I would go back with friends and family again but I didn't like feeling like a tourist and surely didn't like the tourist prices. However, the place is fun and worth a shot.

Waited 20 min for service outside of the bar. Was not busy. March of 2026…read more Lots of staff walking around and we got paired with a server working two sections. Bartender put his drink/ bottle opener in hit mouth when talking to other servers then proceeded to serve with said bottle opener behind the bar. The side salad came out with the burger which I asked to be served prior to entree. Burger was made wrong, asked for plain and it had garden on it. Fried pickles were good. The "wild things" chicken sandwich was absolutely horrible. Frozen patty thrown together with a faint stream of hot sauce.

The sand is available to your feet in seconds of reaching the planks and walking in from the front or back. There is hardly a difference because the bar is right there for you. They sport 2 bars of absolute couth one inside that adorns many delicious tap samples abound to your liking's to know what will make you feel just right. For my palette was garnished with the buffalo trace as I felt the fight beautifully burning. I turned to notice many changes in a place I had only ever sat outside to. I turn to my right and see a bunch of awesome video games for the conciseness of fun, and a way to distract the kids in you or in your family to allow the sipping of your bourbon you so rightfully deserve from hard work or battles of the night if you're a warrior like me. see we all deserve a temple of sand and fun and the outside bar shading me from the heat made me realize this was the place I could really bow my head in accomplishment. My parents really loved their food as well. They savored the shrimp tacos and the steak sub equally pleasing to their palates. What really gets you though is the sinking of your feet into the sand as you bite into the burger, all my insignificant woes and sorrows drifted away as i tasted the burger i had ordered of perfect heat from the medium rare they cooked to perfection. compliments to all the chefs that work there. You really are the unsung warriors of this world, especially as the heat basks onto that building and your grills work so efficiently to create perfection every time. much love to your family, friends and home. bartenders of absolute patience to the buggering of pleasant customers that have retired from their woes and want to drown them out. You are brave, you are respected and I salute you. This business knows what you want and a yo ho ho does it give it to you. visit the lazy turtle because it beckons you and your heart deserves it and as well as your palate of good taste knows it. with love ~ The Beast aka Brian Francis Cote

This entire establishment has changed in every which way for the better. The inside had been renovated with a now view of the ocean, and they had upgraded wall decor and tables. No soggy fries, no dead flies, in fact this restaurant was sooooo much cleaner than I remember it being, even family who have been multiples times in the past agreed. We ordered the Nacho appetizer, and I got the chicken tacos and they exceeded my expectations in all sorts of delicious ways. The staff was so friendly the new owner even came by to chat and gave us chocolates, shout out to Giovanni! I can't wait to come back during the summer to see the beachfront patio in full effect!
