Because that's essentially how we were treated by our server. She was an older woman with brow hair and the coldest demeanor I have ever encountered in a brewery or restaurant setting. It took fifteen minutes to get menus and another twenty minutes until I got up and just went straight to the bar to order our drinks and food. I know--at that point we should have left, but we have been here before and enjoyed the beer. We tried to politely get her attention several times, and I swear each time she would zoom right by us or even take a totally different path among tables. Like I said, I took my business straight up to the bar and the bartender was super sweet and put our order in and brought our drinks in a couple of minutes. The OG waitress came back with the food order and slammed some napkins down on the table and trotted off. My friend and I both just stared at each other and laughed. We were sitting at a communal table alongside a couple and the gentleman said, "She's got a gentle touch, doesn't she?" We had a good laugh, but the couple confirmed that this had been the vibe since they arrived a half hour before us. In that respect, I guess the OG waitress helped to build community last night, leaving us not to wonder, "Did we do something wrong," but rather, "Woof, wonder what's wrong in her world." It didn't last long though. She stopped by once at last call to which my friend immediately declined. The OG waitress then brought the checks for both parties, though oddly, she collected the couples next to us and the folks behind us, but not ours. We watched the couple leave and the table behind us, and again, we watched the OG waitress totally avoid eye contact and literally clear half our table and surrounding trash, but seemed to be adamant about not taking our cards to process. So again, we traveled to the bar to settle up and leave. The OG waitress came up and was talking to the bartender and clearly stated, "Next time, I'm not doing this. I'm going to be behind the bar and you're gonna be running the floor." Boy, we do love a lack of accountability and a poor team player! In regard to the beer, I ordered the Cape House, which was OK and my friend ordered the Vanilla Cream Madagascar which she really did enjoy. We ordered wings and queso. The wings were super dry and came with what was a low quality, store bought blue cheese dip. The queso cheese was really disappointing--it had a pleasant kick to it, but it also had a grainy texture. The tortilla chips that came with the queso were stale! Unfortunately, I will be back here as they also charged my card TWICE last night. Wish me luck!

We went on a Saturday to find love music, which was an entertaining plus! Considering we were going for a brewery, we found the food options perfect for snacking or enjoying a casual dinner. Beer options on tap were of a wide variety, with us trying both sours. The fresh tart was overpowered by the Meyers lemon with none of the guava profile pulling through. The Morse was a fairly crushable cranberry "sour" that was well balanced if you needed to finish quickly as we did. Service was good with table service for the beer and food. They do payments at the table which is very convenient but did notice they're defaulted to 30% gratuity so just be aware for adjusting based on your experience if needed.

Parking is very tricky with about ten spots in front of brewery. Also town beach paid parking right next door. The place was bustling on both floors. The main floor set up for order pickups and merchandise. There was a small pizza place as well The tasting room is on the second floor with nice view of the beach and harbor. The brewery provides indoor & outdoor seating but inside was very tight on a rainy day. Standing room only for many patrons. Full selection of Tree House beers and canned cocktails. There is a steady rotation of excellent IPAs including Jjjulius on our visit.

The brewery is right on the beach, so you have stunning oceanfront views from basically every seat. There's a bunch of outdoor seating (which is kind of shaded, but was still sooo hot in July), a really cool tap room upstairs, and one of the best brewery merch stores I've seen on the ground floor. We visited on 4th of July weekend, so the minimal parking next the brewery was totally full. Luckily, there's an overflow lot with a shuttle van about 5 minutes down the road. It was pretty tricky to find however, so be sure to ask the staff in the on-site parking lot for specific directions if you need to get there. They serve all the same great beer you expect from Tree House, plus they have a nice little cocktail bar outside, so there's something for everyone. I really liked the Cape Hound and the Rum Punch. They also have great pizzas and lobster rolls, which are a bit pricey but worth the splurge in my opinion. You can also pick up cans to go here, and because Tree House doesn't distribute otherwise, that's a huge win for any locals in the area. Great spot to visit on your trip to Cape Cod. We'll be back!

The biggest disappointment was the "loaded" baked potato. It was old and hard and there was hardly anything on it. A few bacon bits and a sprinkle of cheese. The service was great, the food was ready for pick up on time. The parking lot was full, and it is a large lot, so obviously they're doing something right. I am definitely willing to give it another try the next time I'm in the area.
