Through out the day he texted saying he found a few other things that needed to be fixed never mentioned additional cost- when he showed up at 6:30 with the van he wanted $750 - in cash - no debit or credit card (notice above he says he takes credit cards). He knew he had us over a barrel since they are 4 hours from home, all day they had waited for him to let us know what was happening but he just kept saying they had found something else, never mentioning how much it was going to cost and then he is unwilling to take a card. We didn't approve the additional work and much of it had just been done on the vehicle 4 months prior - this shop will rip you off - DON'T GO HERE

My car suddenly broke down on our 9 hour drive back home from visiting family. We were still 2…read morehours away from where we needed to go and away from family who could help. The gentleman at Latta automotive was called to tow my car and store it until I could find someone to get it back home. He was very easy to communicate and kept us updated. Not once did he try to convince me of expensive or unnecessary repairs. My car is toast, there was nothing we could currently do with it. He talked to us about what led up to the car stopping and everything in between, gave some advice. As a woman, I am all too familiar with shady mechanics trying to talk me into repairs that aren't needed (my dad is a mechanic and I will be calling for him to double check or advice). The owner never did that. My dad was going to drive 3 hours to come pick them car up but it would need to he stored until he could get there (next day). The owner would not let us pay him for the night of storage. He came in when the shop was closed and even helped load it. Would not let us pay him for his help either. If I am ever in Latta and need help, I know who I will be calling. Hands down the best service I have recived in regards to towing and automotive care. A small owned business who 100% deserves business.

I had to jump start it every other day. Mr. Kidd was able to diagnose it and fix it in a couple days. The car had ruined the battery but it was still under warranty. He even went above and beyond and got my battery replaced under the warranty. I didn't have the receipt. So this was very time consuming. When I got the bill it was very reasonable.
