    Vintage rattan beach ready tote!

This is my local charity shop and I love it. I prefer to support local charities that benefit the community and that's exactly what they do. You can find great deals here because every day of the week is a different discount (check the website). In these times of overconsumption I find it's so important to shop second hand. I've found some great treasures here and stop by weekly on my walks. The employees are all kind and helpful and so are all the patrons I've met too. Most recently I found the perfect tote for the upcoming swimming season. Thank you for being a great part of our community!

Best thrift shop around. Great selection, great prices and the employees/volunteers are always helpful and friendly. Have a great coffee drink and a delicious Peanut Butter Cookie while you're shopping the thrift shop, or getting your bike repaired at the bike shop, or browsing in the clothing store. Who doesn't love a great bargain?!

Great prices, they provide an important service in the community and the new location is big and bright. Love the addition of the coffee!

They have a lot of religious stuff, that I wouldn't find elsewhere, and the staff was very helpful. I like the fact, that they have lots of parking lot. It's also convenient, that there's an Asian Market in the same shopping area. Food carts if you walk a little further. There was a turquoise, good condition leather jacket, that I almost bought, if only I could zip it up. They have a lot of good quality brand, too, that you would normally find at Goodwill Boutique.

Inside is a massive space filled with every type of treasure imaginable. Their clothes section has a great selection and includes plus sizes. Shoes are a bit hit or miss but they make up for that in other ways. My absolute FAVORITE part of the store is their book selection. It's organized by genre and then by author which makes looking for you perfect next read so much easier. I also like that they are inexpensive compared to some other places around town. They run random sales on top of their weekly 25% and 50% off so follow their Facebook page for that information. Their employees have always been very kind and helpful anytime I've needed something from them.

My partner and I popped into Village Merchants on a whim -- and honestly, it turned out to be a…read moregreat little adventure. From the moment we walked in, we were impressed by how much stuff there was to look at. It's a big, sprawling thrift/consignment shop full of clothes, home stuff, accessories, shoes, random knick-knacks -- all sort of jumbled together in a way that makes browsing feel like treasure-hunting. We found ourselves drifting between aisles, poking through racks and shelves, and laughing at the weird, random stuff -- exactly the kind of spontaneous outing you want when you're with a partner and feeling casual. One review on Yelp summed it up perfectly: "This place has so much cool stuff, I had to really stop myself from buying everything lol." That's exactly how it felt -- part treasure-hunt, part nostalgia-trip, part bargain-hunting spree. What I loved about Village Merchants: * Variety: Clothes, jewelry, home goods, even old/outdoor items -- you never know what you'll find. * Budget-friendly: There were a lot of items at reasonable prices (or even "steals"), which made it fun to browse without worrying about overspending. * Good for pairs: Because there's so much to see and hunt through, it's a fun, low-pressure activity to do together. No rush, no expectations -- just exploring and chatting. Downsides / what to know: * It's easy to get overwhelmed by the amount of stuff. Half the fun is digging; half the challenge is picking what you actually want. * Not everything is "dupe-worthy": some items are random, mismatched, or just "meh." You need patience to sift through. My Verdict: Village Merchants is a surprisingly fun little escape for a budget-conscious couple who doesn't need fancy restaurants or parties -- just something chill, slightly quirky, and with a chance you'll score something cool. I'd totally go back again.
