Helped me try on 6+ dresses. Pinned and tucked the dresses so I could get a feel for how they'd fit after the seamstress tailored them. I am SO glad things worked out the way they did. I tried on so many GORGEOUS dresses at LoveStory Bridal. She has a very viewable selection. Everything is hanging nicely spaced on racks so you can easily see the front and back while moving through the hangers. She has very trendy, elegant dresses. The entire store is bright and open. The sales associate was very friendly, however, she was very unkept (unwashed hair, a bit sloppily dressed) so she did NOT project the image of a sales person, especially in her industry. I browsed around a bit, tried on a dress, and decided to come back another day. On my second visit, the same sales associate was there, and again looked as though she just rolled out of bed. The request I had for my dress was "sheath" and with sleeves or straps, and preferably lace. I was brought several strapless ball gowns repeatedly. I understand suggestive selling but I have tried on ball gowns and do not want this style at all (I'm small and it overpowers my frame). They carry some very nice gowns, so if you are interested in one of the designers there I would check it out. Many of the new 2014 and 2015 Maggie Sottero gowns are also at Sophie's Bridal in Hamilton for a few hundred less than at Paula's.

Whatever it is, you'll be paying much better than usual marked up retail prices. Just my luck they were hosting an additional sale and I managed to find a few pieces. I will need to get some alterations but I'm super thrilled to have found some great stuff for a good price. The pieces are kept well, good quality, and they have about 3 change rooms available so you can actually try the stuff on. They've got all sorts of clothing from casual to business wear to semi formal and formal. You can find all sorts of styles too. There's a huge section for formal dresses at the back half and I recall she mentioned they have another location that specially has bridal wear. They also have some jewelry and shoes. I definitely look forward to coming back again soon and hope more people discover them so they can stay in business for a long time to come. The staff here are incredibly friendly and so is the owner! They're not pushy about the sale and seem only concerned about making sure you have a great time shopping. Love the vibes! So, planning a wedding is an emotional process and picking out a wedding dress is no exception. This was my first spot and I had zero expectations. I had been to a few other places for another friend of mine getting married (David Bridal, Best for Bride...etc) and this place truly sits at #1. 1) Everyone is so friendly and kind and my stylist Megan, was truly an angel (I'm sure the other stylists are angels to, but seriously, ask for Megan). Megan was so kind and sweet and everything you'd want when you're trying to find a wedding dress that compliments you in the best ways. I instantly told her it was my first time and she said that she would put me into every silhouette imaginable. She never tried to sell me over my budget and she was just very helpful. She made me feel comfortable and just gave me outstanding costumer service. 2) They have a PLETHORA of dresses. Ranging from $300 (there could be even cheaper ones), to $4000+. They have all types of styles, and everything in between. Its all well organized and I just felt I had a ton to choose from. 3) I ended up selecting this gorgeous dress (I'd say what it looks like but my fiance is very sneaky and I don't want him to read any details lol) and it was of course, above my budget (my fault, not Megan's). She could tell it was a bit out of the price range and said I could even buy the sample to save money and told me about other payment options available to me (it was nice of her to offer those options without asking). My mom was the superhero of the day as she paid for my dress but it was so nice of Megan to talk about money in a gentle way (since money can be touchy subject for people). When the transaction was over, I actually started to cry (not when I had the dress on because I think I was in shock that I found a dress that I absolutely love in every ) and Megan offered a big hug. I can't emphasis enough how much I loved coming here. In the end, we purchased an absolutely beautiful dress that makes me feel like a million bucks and although it was out of my modest budget, it wasn't crazy expensive. Not a good experience. I wanted to cry, but I was so frustrated that I held it in…read more They also bribe people to give 5 star reviews so do not trust their star rating. I am a plus size bride, wearing 18/20 street size. I stated this on the forum when booking my appointment and when the employee asked upon entrance. Although sizing had been discussed, a lot of the dresses I was handed in the change room were sizes 10-14 and I was not able to try them on. Either they wouldn't fit over my hips, or my arms wouldn't fit in armhole with the strap, or my arm just wouldn't fit into the sleeve. Trying to squeeze into a dress that's half your size in a dark changing room without assistance is not a good start. At one point I told the employee that one of the dresses I wasn't able to pull up, and she seemed surprise "oh really? Is the zipper undone all the way", I said I would double check, but yes it was undone all the way. I just don't think the size 10 dress was ready for my size 20 hips. Another dress was sleeveless but had a high illusion neckline and I was excited to try on, however my upper arms were not fitting into the arm holes as it was a size 14 and my upper arms are larger. I told the employee this from the dark room behind the curtain and her response was simply "how about we move to the next one then". Which was sad because I thought this one would look so good if only in a better size. At this point I was starting to feel that same dreaded feeling I use to get when trying to buy name brand clothes in middle school. Hadn't felt that shame in a decade. I stuck my head out and asked if they had any plus size dresses, as these tags seemed to be 10-12 or 14 and I am usually about a 20. She pointed to the rack we got the 14 from and said that was the plus size rack. When I was able to get my body into a dress it was still a size 16, the neckline area never fit and it was nearly impossible to "use my imagination on". Since the detailing didn't line up and it was making indents. There was one dress I did like. However it was a zipper back and I was told the "zipper is slippery" so it couldn't be done up. I don't know much about how bridal shops use dress clips but she didn't use any and barely did anything. She held the open back together for about 30 seconds as I looked in the mirror then walked away. The dress had sparkly spaghetti straps that were very long so they dropped and curved a bit. My mom was trying to get a photo so I could look at it later but as the employee wasn't doing much to make the dresses look as they would if they fit I was trying to pull the straps at the back so it would appear tighter and then holding my arms down so the bodice wouldn't fly open. Ugh I honestly felt like crying when I was in the dark changing room, I felt lost. I was barely getting any assistance. She wasn't helping the dresses look as they would once fitted, I felt helpless. Not being able to fit into dresses and not having any dresses my size even when My size had obviously been discussed made my confidence drop and made me feel ugly and gross. Which is definitely not what a wedding gown shop should do.

The young lady who was assigned to assist me did not have any gowns picked out from my favourites list. A few gowns were chosen and were not the style that suited me. Some were prom dresses as I was looking for something with bling and the usual mother dresses were not my style at all. I felt like she was being condescending to me and didn't really care to go out of her way to find something. They were more geared for bridal parties and prom requests. I found a dress elsewhere where the staff went above and beyond to help me. This place needs to learn a lesson in customer service.

We hear all kinds of scary stories about bridal shops. Their experiences seem to be the most frustrating thing for most brides. The consistent exception is with Blissetts in Medina. One of our brides went to the big bridal chain store and had to return an obscene number of times for alterations without success. Days before the wedding, she went in tears to Blissetts. They provided the perfect fit along with professional and compassionate service. My advice is to make Blissetts your first stop. Your wedding planning should be a fun and happy time. They'll make sure your wedding dress and bridesmaid dresses are perfect the first time. It's certainly worth the drive.

Wow, I could not have been more wrong. Despite the very clear fact that I was not going to be spending thousands of dollars, I was assigned to stylist PAIGE who immediately gave me her undivided attention and was focused on finding exactly what I wanted - and let me tell you, I am very picky when it comes to dresses. Paige and AMANDA practically forced me to try on a few different dresses even those I thought I would not like. They really are the experts, because they found a great dress for me and I fully trusted their opinions. I had so much fun with them through the whole process. As the night went on, she became visibly annoyed whenever my friends asked questions about other dresses in the store. After I tried on my last dress, one of my friends asked about another option, and another sales rep showed her a gown. Instead of being professional, she angrily snapped "no" in a whisper, clearly signaling to rush us out of there. No offense, but that is terrible customer service. I refuse to spend money on a wedding dress somewhere that treats people this way. She then looked at me and bluntly said my time was up -- even though my appointment had started late. It was 6:58, and she claimed the store was closing, but their own door clearly says they close at 7:30. The whole environment was unwelcoming compared to other bridal shops. No one smiled, no warmth, no excitement -- which is the bare minimum you'd expect during such a special moment. Because of this experience, I will absolutely refrain from doing any business with them and will tell others about how poorly they treat customers. Thankfully, I stayed polite and calm, because I can only imagine how badly they'd react if someone had actually been a "bridezilla."
