So I just had my first large Deep Dish delivered 15 minutes ago. I went to take a piece out with a spatula, and as I lifted the first piece everything from the piece slipped off the piback into the box. It's so watery and soggy. I'm so annoyed I spent $39 to have it delivered. If I was eating there, I would definitely return it. The pictures are with one piece missing. read more

Open about six months in Hudson. We got two pizzas. One vegetable and one meat garbage. Topping are generous and bakes well done with a crispy crust. Tasted yummy. The restaurant is older but very clean and smells real good. You can see the kitchen from the counter. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Will be back. read more

Went with a group to second city pizza. Worst expensive pizza we have ever had. 12 inch veg. pizza and 2 soda's was 30 dollars. The sauce had no flavor , like it was Hunts tomato sauce. Vegetables were scarce. Pizza looked dried out and was virtually tasteless. Will not be going back. read more

Second sh1tty eats. First word comes to mind. Severely lacking. . Atmosphere, an old diner . No A/C, counter ordering, rickety tables, no waitstaff at table, yuck. Pro tip: Don't make me stand there and order my food and have a tip spot on the bill. Service: Horrible. We were the only people in there when we arrived, except for one couple when we sat down. 2 tables of 4 and 1 table of 2 came in after us. We ordered an app of poppers and the deep dish "special". All the other people ordered after us and not only got their food BEFORE us, but were actually LEAVING before we even got our pizza. I went up to the counter twice, you know where I tipped the lady taking our order to ask what was taking so long, and asked if she was going to bring the appetizer and pizza all at the same time ? Of course she was! This place is the worst pizza place I've been to in all my years here. I should have gone to urban oak or back droughts for real pizza! The poppers finally came and they weren't poppers, they had a half a slice of jalapeño pepper in them and some oily cream cheese. Terrible but we were hungry by now and ate them. It was fun watching everyone else eat while we were ignored. I wonder if they had even placed the order or the kitchen screwed up. Who knows. After almost an HOUR I went to the counter and told her to make it to Go. I had completely run out of patience by then and just wanted to GTF out of there! So we get home and open the box and this is what we found. Arguably the worst slider I've ever seen. I had placed it on the bench back seat and carefully leveled it with a little neck pillow and the greasy oil from the sauce n cheese leaked onto the seat and pillow. Lovely. The deep dish was terrible. The Dough thick and rubbery, tons of sauce just not a "Chicago experience" if you've ever been there. We both ate most of one slice and when my wife asked if she should put it in the fridge, not a word was said, we looked at each other and she dumped it in the trash. I don't know what people rave about with this establishment. I can't wait to Never go there again. SMH read more

Got a Maxwell polish and a small thin crust pizza. Both were done properly. I like a sweeter sauce but that's just personal preference. The pizza was on point. Crust was proper consistency. We moved to Florida 4 years ago from the southwestern suburbs of Chicago. We have been searching for a great tasting thin crust pizza since coming to Florida. We live in Land O Lakes and this place came highly recommended. Today we ordered our first thin crust pizza and just want to say it's the best. We have been purchasing HRI from Publix, and we've frequented Rosattis in Oldsmar. The thin crust pizza is excellent! Great cheese and sausage makes this a great pie! Very good specials though out the week. We were lucky to drop in on a Tuesday. Pizza is 1/2 price! Very friendly and fast service. You order at the counter. They bring your order to your table. The restaurant is unassuming but seems to be very clean and wee run. The only drawback is they didn't have cups and ice for the drinks. Other than that we fully enjoyed our dinner. They have a nice menu if pizza isn't your thing. We'll definitely return! read more

I had great hopes that this pizza place would be good. It's compared to Guido's in Spring Hill. We ordered the Chicago plain pizza. So disappointed. The crust was under cooked. Chipotlit really had a cardboard look & taste. The sauce was decent. The cheese had no taste. Cross this one off our list. Every Friday night we try a new place for pizza. Talk to him what we wanted and what our idea of a Chicago style pizza is.. he put the order in..We paid for it. We sat down ate our Chicago dogs, which tasted old and the buns were soggy. The owner walks in. I said to my husband I bet that's the owner and he looks like he has a chip on his shoulder. We're the only ones in there and he asked what we were waiting for we said our pizza. He said there's no pizza ordered. Then he said we ordered a thin crust. He said I can't give you a Chicago style for $27, which is what we paid. We said well, we ordered Chicago style, he said I'm not gonna give you a Chicago style for $27. Those are $47. We said first we wouldn't pay $47 for a pizza and second. We told you what we wanted and that's what you ordered. He proceeded to start yelling at us. We asked for a refund ..as we were walking out we said okay, you just lost us as customers. This was our first and last time here and he said good. Can you believe an owner would say such a thing? That's how they do business. He was a total a-hole. Was born and raised in Chicago and ate thin crust and Uno's and Due's deep-dish pizza for over 30 years before moving to the north Ga. mountains. I know Chicago Pizza! While visiting my daughter in New Port Richey last year I purchased a thin crust from Second City Eats at the NPR location and after one bite I happily exclaimed "this place has it right" and "this is the real deal". The right crust, large chunks of sausage, and especially the flavor of Chicago pizza. We were very excited about this discovery. I 've since learned the location has closed but there is another location in Hudson so on my recent Easter visit, I purchased another Chicago thin crust to bring back to north Ga with me which we ate last night. Big disappointment! All was good except the FLAVOR was MISSING! It was very bland . That distinctive Chicago flavor just wasn't there. It was as if someone forgot to add the spices that gave it the flavor, we enjoyed so much at the NPR location. I think the owner would agree with me because he sure had it right in NPR. I still want to try a deep dish and see how it compares to Pizzeria Due or Gino's east. Will get one on next trip down. read more
