Waited another few days, heard nothing about if they had found my application, then the email I sent to follow up came back as undelivered and not accepting emails so I guess their email doesn't even work. So, complete waste of time. Disorganized. And with all the time I spent answering all their invasive questions which included my drivers license and personal information, you think they could at least, I don't know, answer the damn phone and follow simple directions without leaving a condescending @$$ voicemail on my phone. I feel really bad for the animals stuck with these people. Stay away and go with a rescue that isn't here to waste your time. Pay attention to the 1 star reviews. They answered all of my questions, offered to configure the lobby for our needs, and assured me that there would be several volunteers assisting on the night of the party. We loved hosting such a unique party. All our daughter's friends were mesmerized by the cats. With so many cats in multiple rooms (kitten room, main room, quiet room), each of the girls and adults found their "spot" and had a great time. There was more than enough space for the 23 guests we had The cats were so sweet and fun. With dozens of cats in the same room, you might think that the cats would be fighting or disruptive, but it was just the right mix of calm and playfulness. We brought in pizza and cupcakes, which we set up in the lobby. Cat Nap graciously provided tablecloths and some paper goods. The lobby is small and doesn't have the space for seating, but the girls didn't mind standing or sitting on the floor while they ate. They were eager to get back to the cats, so we didn't spend much time with the food. The volunteers absolutely blew us away with their hospitality. They offered to help us set up and haul trash, and they provided a first aid kit to a couple of our guests who got scratched by the kitties. They answered questions from our curious guests, and they kept the space very clean through the whole evening. Overall, we are so happy to have hosted a party at Cat Nap! Several of our guests are now asking their parents to have their birthday parties there, too!

We found California Doodle Rescue, and started to look at what dogs and puppies they had available. We are so glad we did! Tilia is the most sweet, loving doodle with an amazing disposition given what her first 6 mos might have looked like, she is learning fast and interested in exploring the world around her. We had researched OC Humane Society and for $400, they cremated her and included a floral box and ceramic paw print ornament. They were courteous & kind while I slowly unraveled and filled out forms. They took my credit card in the doctor's office so I didn't have to go back into the waiting room. Only downside was the young man who mis-gendered my dog over & over. If you know it's a euthanasia, please take a second to review the chart. Ashes came a week after the visit. Included is a card confirming she was cremated alone which is comforting. RIP old girl.

Emergencies happen, and I would have appreciated being treated with more understanding and respect. Because of how poorly this situation was handled, I will never be bringing Riley here again. (In response to the owner's reply, my family and I have been loyal customers of Animalia for many years, and Riley is now 9 years old. Over nearly a decade of bringing her there, there have only been a few cancellations, mostly due to emergencies or unavoidable situations. To portray four cancellations over that amount of time as excessive is completely unfair. What disappointed me most was not the policy itself, but the way I was spoken to after years of loyalty and support. The next day I received a phone call and text message from the Foster parent. She was very friendly and nice. She answered any questions I had and we set up a time the following week to meet the dogs. My main concern was making sure the new doggy got along with my current puppy. My current pups is a Pomeranian. I brought my Pom to meet two different dogs through PoochMatch. My puppy didn't like either one. The first dog, my puppy was growling and didn't like. The second puppy they tolerated each other a bit, but my Pom would run away any chance she got. I am still confused as to why. My Pom is very friendly and has been fine around other dogs. I'm not sure why she didn't get along with the possible adoptions. It was still a nice process to go through and I'd recommend for anyone wanting to rescue. I really want to rescue. The second puppy we saw was homeless and needing a home badly. Poor baby.
