I walked the neighborhood and no one claimed her. I couldn't keep her in my backyard because I already have dogs that don't get along with other dogs....my sister looked up dog rescues on her and Save A Bow Wow was the first one! Within minutes of reaching out to Mandy, she replied with advice and suggesting a to finding a home for the stray. Ultimately I ended up meeting Mandy to give her the dog. She was so professional and genuine in person! She also noted quickly that the dog was not nursing but had a tumor!! Hours later a neighbor from a few houses down came looking for a small dog that fit the description of the dog I found earlier. I told them the situation and gave them Mandy's number and told them that Mandy was very kind and sought to rescue lost dogs. Unfortunately, the gentleman, in particular, was extremely rude to both me and Mandy thinking I sold off their dog. Mandy continued to keep in contact with me reassuring me with updates about the dog, until the dog was finally reunited with her family. She was gave me words of encouragement in how I did the right thing after the gentleman was rude to me. 10/10 recommended this rescue if you're looking for assistance with a stray!!

I was put in touch with the amazing foster parents who are so kind and open and helpful With giving me all the information about the puppy. I went to get my puppy today and she's absolutely perfect! All of her vaccines have been done she is spayed I couldn't have asked for more. Mandy communicated with me throughout the week about when I could get her and was very clear about her expectations from me as well. I'm grateful I found a rescue that really cares for their animals and doesn't just adopt them out to anybody. I would highly recommend them and would adopt from them again

We found an approximately five week old baby squirrel at the base of a tree and couldn't reunite it…read morewith its' mother. We cared for it for about 80 hours, contacted Debra at the Wildlife Foster Program, when she instructed us to play the crying baby squirrel from YouTube, place the baby back in the tree (after seeing the adult squirrels in the tree again), and with multiple tries over the course of the day, we finally attracted the right squirrel with the baby crying sounds and the baby was reunited with its mother. Thank you so much Debra, you are a Godsend! We are in tears and so happy for the baby and mama!! (Ps, of course, Debra offered to take the squirrel in if we could not reunite it with his mother, forever grateful.)

I brought my first cat to be neutered in about 2012. You have to call to schedule. He was in at 8am and by the afternoon. The wait times to see a veterinarian can be very long depending on how many patients show up. Appointments can also be backed up because of emergencies. I have an aggressive dog and they are very understanding about her needs. They also help pets having emergencies. Nobody is turned away. It was really hard to find any practice like this when the location was closed temporarily. I'm glad this location is open and I hope they stay open.

Kimberly was informative, helpful, and friendly with providing information and letting me see her foster. She was patient and let me spend as much time as I wanted with the kitty to get acquainted with her. Mary handled the application and provided an abundance of information regarding the adoption process and bringing kitty home. She went through our information that we filled out in our application and asked us any questions she needed to know in regards to potential adoption, which makes perfect sense in wanting the best for their foster cats! The volunteers truly care about these cats and it shows. I highly recommend anyone who is serious about adopting a cat to consider Cats in Need Fullerton to find their furrever friend! Don't bother going here or contacting these "volunteers" if you're seriously thinking about…read moreadopting a cat. It's a complete waste of your time, and you'll end up leaving frustrated regardless of what your need is. Read through the reviews posted in 2021, and you can see that they all speak for the same experience I had. Try another rescue. I have 2 separate occasions when I contacted them - (1) when I tried to adopt a second cat, and (2) when I found a stray kitten and tried to get it taken to a rescue. Both occasions went to total trash. For situation #1, I was denied because apparently there are too many coyotes and raccoons living in my area (La Mirada). I live in a area right next to an elementary school where kids walk to school everyday. I've yet to see a coyote or a raccoon in this neighborhood, clearly they don't know their geography and don't do any research. For situation #2, they asked for a photo of the cat, and after sending the pictures no reply ever since. I have a feeling they'll only take kittens that look pretty and would sell for money, which defeats the purpose of a rescue to begin with. Don't waste your time here unless you want to leave with a bad taste in your mouth.

I wanted to come here and write about my experience adopting from FOCHP…read more My first contacts with them was with Sandra, the foster mom for my Gracie (Snowball) There are not enough words to describe how kind, helpful and gracious she was with everything. I went the day after Christmas to do my meet and greet and spent an hour with her asking questions. I never felt rushed. I never felt like I was irritating her, she was just fabulous. Everything this rescue does seems to be top-notch. They even feed a high and more expensive food which completely impressed me because puppy nutrition is so important. If I could give this review more than five stars, I would. Everything went smoothly, everyone I talked to or texted was so helpful I could not have asked for a better experience. Thank you FOCHP!

My dog went to his grooming appointment today. He is a medium size dog and from our experience with…read moregrooming visits, it easily takes 3-4 hours for his service to be completed. We paid for the deluxe grooming package which includes: bath, haircut, nail trim, ear cleaning, scissoring feet and pad shaving, teeth brushing, sanitary trim, and anal gland cleaning. With this entire package and hearing from past groomers that he is not the easiest dog to groom, we received a message stating he was done in 2 hours and 15 minutes. Unusual from our experience! When we picked him up, we had to go back inside to ask them to do more sanitary trimming. Additionally, when we came home, our dog had poop stuck to his butt, but did not poop after we picked him up. So, did they even give him a bath? I doubt it because he didn't even smell clean. We also needed to use our dog trimmer to try to clean him up more. Seems like a waste of money and won't be going back.
