We adopted a kitten ( now Rookie!) from Cats in Tow (Petsmart Brea) few days ago. People working there were knowledgeable, kind, and so helpful on adoption process. They were patient, proving me with all good information for first time cat adopter. They let me pat the kittens and interact with them to find the best fit. They also helped me shop for the products and even gave me free scratchers, blankets and some toys to play around! They treat all their cats with love, patience, and good knowledge!) I can confidently says this place is one of the best place to find your forever friend. Here, there's so many kittens and cats looking for their forever home so don't buy, adopt!!

Just to update everyone, after all the discrimination I experienced at this place with no help from anyone. I decided to go back to OC Animal Care to adopt another cat! My previous 2 cats were from here and were the sweetest! The staff at OC Animal Care was amazing. Not only did they answer my questions but there was no discrimination at all. The lady volunteering at the cat kennel totally helped me and she went to the back to bring in a Stray baby boy cat to me for adopt. She thought I would make an amazing mom off the bat! I was able to make the deposit and own this cat in week. No discrimination, no dirty looks. My baby boy Simba is such a good kitty! very well behaved! I will never trust places like this ever again. Do yourself a favor visit a Animal Shelter! NOT they types of rescue centers who think they know what they are doing. They have no respect for people who sincerely want to adopt a cat. I know I didn't have to BEG for a kitty. My kitty is only 3 months! Total social, and was able to do the visit right away! In fact he arrived the day I was looking! I had the total opposite experience here a few months back! See my previous review of what really happened!

Our fur baby Link (AKA Parker). What a cuddly boy.

The opposite, really--these humans go about doing God's work rescuing dogs and finding suitable homes. Truly they deserve recognition for the care they put into their services and care for these dogs.

I still suffer a tiny bit with asthma . I adopted Kk and Bo when they were almost 8 in 2018. It is now 2025, so they are 15, almost 16 . I still follow BROC along with Bichon rescues. If you know anything about bonded sibling dogs, they do not go anywhere without each other. It is the cutest thing. BROC told me about this, and I didn't believe them but BO follows his sister around like he is his daughter, protecting her and watching over her all the time. She's actually the larger of the two and Bo lets her eat his food and his treats. I have kept in touch with BROC over the years. Now, I have to make a difficult decision. BROC is by my side, helping me make a decision. Should I get a new dog before one of them pass so the other one has a distraction or wait? Right now I am currently looking at Rockwell. He is a male bichon eight years old,15 pounds. Clearly, Rockwell is not eating steak for dinner....YET! My bichons are 22 And 24 lbs! BROC has made one human and two doggies almost 3 doggies. Very happy!

I think Vida Rescue is great!…read more I adopted my puppy there back in Aug 2022 to pair with my senior dog and it was the best decision ever. It was quick and seamless since I had already zero'd in on a couple of potential dogs. Right when I looked at the puppy they brought out I immediately snatched him! I think people need to understand that shelters/rescues are very tough environments, if everyone is expecting these dogs/cats to be in perfect condition when they get them, then I don't know what to say. Adopting a pet is serious stuff and can be a big financial/time burden. This isn't going and picking out a toy. VIDA Rescue is doing God's work in my opinion.

To the person who adopted Annie…read more If you adopted a brown chihuahua mix named Annie, I am her foster mom and wanted to you to know a little about her personality. please know she was very loved and she's very smart and knows many commands. She loves her little squeaky piggy toy to play fetch with. She eats Pure farm to bowl small breed kibble brand and bacon treats are her fav. She absolutely hates going potty indoors and if it happens on she will get your attention and wants you to clean it asap. So making sure she goes out to do her business is very important her. Wish I would have been able to give the new family her toys, clothes and just insight on the her daily routine and likes and dislikes. Now my review of the rescue and this is solely my experience with fostering for this rescue. I decided to foster after my dog passed away. They asked me to come in and take a look to see who was a good fit, but when I got there I was immediately given a dog to foster. I was rushed out of there and given the bed, blanket and a bag of food. Laura the person that runs the rescue maybe great with the animals but terrible people skills. When I brought the Annie home she was eating her poop which means she was being starved. We quickly corrected that behavior. Whenever I brought the dog in for an adoption event which for the TWO years I fostered her was only 2 events and one appointment every time Laura stated the dog was overweight at 18lbs mind you she was a chihuahua mix so of course she was not your full breed average weight but this dog was loved, spoiled and kept on a routine of a daily walks to the park and an afternoon walk on the block. She was getting great exercise and proper nutrition with proper vet care because I took on all the financial responsibilities of vet bills and the best minimal ingredient foods. She stated that fat dogs don't get adopted. If a person is going to say this about a dog then they should not be allowed to adopt at all. I never heard from Laura, no one ever checked on the dog. This was so weird to me because how is the dog supposed get adopted if you don't show her at the adoption events. They don't keep up with social media like other rescues. Commutation with this rescue seriously needs to improve. This was probably the worst experience I've had with fostering. The last time I took the Annie in for a potential adoption appointment, was the last time I saw her. Laura promised to upadate me and send a video of her with her new family but I never got that. I asked and she said she was not adopted but never asked me to foster again. I also hesitated to offer because it meant that I would have to continue to deal with Laura. All communication just stopped. They are so crowded but yet don't care to have fosters for their dogs. It wasn't until we checked the website recently that we found out the dog was finally adopted. We are sad that we didn't get to see her adoption and would never help this rescue again.
