To the person who adopted Annie…read more If you adopted a brown chihuahua mix named Annie, I am her foster mom and wanted to you to know a little about her personality. please know she was very loved and she's very smart and knows many commands. She loves her little squeaky piggy toy to play fetch with. She eats Pure farm to bowl small breed kibble brand and bacon treats are her fav. She absolutely hates going potty indoors and if it happens on she will get your attention and wants you to clean it asap. So making sure she goes out to do her business is very important her. Wish I would have been able to give the new family her toys, clothes and just insight on the her daily routine and likes and dislikes. Now my review of the rescue and this is solely my experience with fostering for this rescue. I decided to foster after my dog passed away. They asked me to come in and take a look to see who was a good fit, but when I got there I was immediately given a dog to foster. I was rushed out of there and given the bed, blanket and a bag of food. Laura the person that runs the rescue maybe great with the animals but terrible people skills. When I brought the Annie home she was eating her poop which means she was being starved. We quickly corrected that behavior. Whenever I brought the dog in for an adoption event which for the TWO years I fostered her was only 2 events and one appointment every time Laura stated the dog was overweight at 18lbs mind you she was a chihuahua mix so of course she was not your full breed average weight but this dog was loved, spoiled and kept on a routine of a daily walks to the park and an afternoon walk on the block. She was getting great exercise and proper nutrition with proper vet care because I took on all the financial responsibilities of vet bills and the best minimal ingredient foods. She stated that fat dogs don't get adopted. If a person is going to say this about a dog then they should not be allowed to adopt at all. I never heard from Laura, no one ever checked on the dog. This was so weird to me because how is the dog supposed get adopted if you don't show her at the adoption events. They don't keep up with social media like other rescues. Commutation with this rescue seriously needs to improve. This was probably the worst experience I've had with fostering. The last time I took the Annie in for a potential adoption appointment, was the last time I saw her. Laura promised to upadate me and send a video of her with her new family but I never got that. I asked and she said she was not adopted but never asked me to foster again. I also hesitated to offer because it meant that I would have to continue to deal with Laura. All communication just stopped. They are so crowded but yet don't care to have fosters for their dogs. It wasn't until we checked the website recently that we found out the dog was finally adopted. We are sad that we didn't get to see her adoption and would never help this rescue again.

The dog I wanted was with the Love 4 Canines organization. Went to the website where they requested I fill out a VERY lengthy adoption questionaire. Which I did. On Oct 19th. I received a prompt response saying my form had been received and thank you very much. Now the form said we will only contact families that have been approved for adoption. (This is the only reason I didn't give one star) Understand, I own my own home. I have a large backyard. I've raised and trained dogs my entire life. And while my home is not always perfect, I still know I would be a great dog owner. Pretty much everyday, I would check Priceless Pets for any new pets, and every day, the dog I wanted was still there, looking at me with those 'adopt me' eyes. So I waited 6 days and emailed them again. "I was just wondering if Sandi was still available and if I was still in the running?" Again nothing. Waited another 11 days, Sandi is still listed on the website, sent another email. "Hi, I filled out an adoption form for Sandi. I've been waiting and waiting and I hate to bug you again, but is there anyway for someone to get back to me on the status of my application? I really would love to adopt Sandi. I'm not even looking at any other animals because I'm really hoping I'm going to be able to adopt him. If you could just drop me a quick email, that would be great! Thanks," Nothing. I checked their website, no phone, no address. The only way listed to get a hold of them is via email. I emailed 2 more times, still no response. Nothing. But every day I see that sweet dog listed. I think it's horrible to do someone like that. I obviously was very interested and that dog still had not been adopted. It would have taken 2 minutes to say you don't qualify and put me out of my misery. I admire every organization that tries to help animals. God bless them. But this one should remember that there are good people out there as well and treat us with a little human kindness. I have now adopted 2 other dogs that are real sweet, but I'll always think of Sandi's face.

A lot of people would love one. I purchased a sick, hiding, frightened cat that I never saw for it was under the bed all the time. If I tried to pet her head she flinched . She was in opposition to all traits of this Breed. Breeder indicated fights amongst males and her. Dear Cat, she is ill and abused. I tried hard to help this animal to rehabilate; but was not successful. Breeder seemed not too keen in dealing with me; so they blocked my number. "Out of sight: Out of mind". Do your due diligence. I had been looking for a Ragdoll Breeder online as I could not find one in my area and most of the breeders I had found online wanted you to put a non-refundable deposit for a kitten that has not even born yet and you have not be able to see in person. I picked a breeder that I thought would be a good one, but I started seeing some red flags and I did get 1/2 of my non-refundable deposit back. Then I found Cheryl (Rock N Rags Ragdoll Cattery in La Mirada,Ca) and I am so grateful I did!!! I knew the minute I emailed her that I was in the right place. She does request a check as a deposit but she holds it until you actually go to meet the kittens and see them, play with them to find the perfect match before she cashes your deposit. Cheryl is very helpful and really cares for her cats and kittens. she is honest and her Ragdolls and the kittens are all beautiful, friendly, and most importantly healthy. Since I live about an 1 1/2 hrs from her She even sent me pictures from the time my kitten was born until I picked her up and as soon as I saw her picture I knew what I wanted to name her and Cheryl started calling her that right away so she knew her name at an early age, then when I saw her once she was 8 weeks old after her 1st set of shots I knew she was the one for sure!! I picked up my kitten two weeks ago now and I was also lucky enough to get my kittens mommy too, I am so glad they are able to stay together, they have a wonderful bond and they are both amazing. If you are thinking about getting a ragdoll Cheryl (Rock N Rags Ragdoll Cattery) is the place to go (Make sure its the one in La Mirada, CA )... She is not a backyard cattery and you can see the difference. I have found out the hard way there are a lot of backyard breeders out there and it really is hard to know one from another and there are bad reviews about a lot of breeders so it gets frustrating to try to figure out who is legit and which ones are not... Well look no further.. you might have to wait a little bit, but if you go with Cheryl & Rock N Rags you will not be disappointed.
