It's long, it's bland, and it forces you to partner up with someone, this makes me totally anxious and I freeze. How many times have you gone home and completely forgotten about everything you've learned? Most likely, often. This is one of the only courses that I've retained 100% of the content, felt accomplished, and didn't walk away with a complaint, (besides it being a little cold bring a sweater!) My registration was spontaneous and it was handled perfectly. Jason had an answer to my questions, great sense of humour, and personal EMS stories that really helped connect topics. There's no "cutting corners" here. What there is, is a condensed first aid course that gets to the important techniques. This leaves out unnecessary information, and makes the skills the forefront. The videos are hokey, but they get to the point. They're diverse as well. Clean office, I didn't feel like advertisements were shoved in my face, and most of the class had laughter and engaging conversation. Doesn't hurt that the teach is easy to look at either if ya know what I mean.

The facility is right on Whyte Ave and it's a nice space with room for 10 poles and a little waiting area. We arrived a little early to put up some decorations and we spent a long time taking videos, pics and played a little game at the end too. Chantel was accommodating which was great as it was the start of a really fun night. I'd go back for fun and certainly recommend as a group activity. My leg are wrecked after it so defo gives the body a work out if you are considering a different kind of fitness activity.

It's been 3 years since my last CPR training. My certificate will expire…read more Time for recertification. I chose the same class mainly because it's walking distance from my house. It's also inexpensive. With a different instructor, I had a much better experience this time. 9 students made up the class. It went fairly quickly. I was only taking the CPR/AED portion from 9:00 am -3:00pm. Everyone else stayed until 5:00 pm to take the first aide section. Many will return for a second day of first aide training. It's very flexible, depending on your needs. Adequate breaks. Ample Q and A. Do not park in the business lot. It is monitored for a 2 hour time limit. Park on 79 Ave just off 104 street which is the little road North of Save On Foods.

This is an eight week course and I have to say, I wish was longer. This course is amazing! Anyone who has ever been hurt by someone, been the one who hurt someone, or is dealing with a bad habit or addiction should take this course. A DVD teaching by Rick Warren (Author of The Purpose Driven Life) starts off each session. The workbook that comes with the course has a few blanks to fill in while he talks and highlights the key points of the message. Everyone then separates into gender-specific groups (about 6 people, same groups for the whole 8 weeks) to talk about everything. There are some questions suggested but it's really just a time to get stuff out, ask questions and support each other. It's a great time. It's very freeing. I found that this course has helped me in many ways. It has helped me to refocus my life in the direction I want to go, helped me deal with some past hurts and ask forgiveness of those I've hurt in the past. Whether you think you should take this course or not, you should. You don't have to have serious, life-altering problems to benefit from it. I didn't. I had a few little things that I wanted to address and I came out of it with so much more than I ever expected. AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

The class structure is easy for kids to understand and really helps them build confidence and motor skills. I can't say enough for this program. It's so beneficial for young kids and the enjoyment you see from the staff and the kids is proof enough that this place rocks. Just some notes for new parents who enrol their kids: 1. If you are going to watch your child, be courteous to pregnant women and give up your chair so they can sit. The viewing space is small so if you are going to spend all your time on your phone and not watching, leave the area to those who want to watch their kids. 2. Take off your shoes when you go into the viewing area. 3. Leave your stroller in the hallway or outside the main doors. 4. If you have to accompany your child in a class, be respectful of the instructor and the other adults with kids. Don't let your child wander around the place while the instructor is trying to demonstrate the next station to the kids. 5. Have as much fun as your child.

If you are interested in learning how to prevent serious safety issues and how to avoid getting lost, I would strongly recommend taking one of his courses. They're fun and very informative. Whether you want to learn the basics of reading a map, using a gps or compass, Bruce's navigation course is a great way to do so. If you're interested in learning how to build a shelter, build a campfire, and even want to know what to pack for the outdoors, BWI demonstrates it all.
