    Beluga Whale

My daughter (three years old) still can't stop talking about our visit, back in January! She had so much fun. What I appreciate about SeaWorld (it took a lot for us to come visit, after watching Black Fish), is their notice, appreciation, and accommodation of military personnel and families. Military service members and families sacrifice more than people can imagine in order to serve and protect our country. SeaWorld made it possible for our family to visit due to my husband's service. Our girls very much enjoyed the Orca and Dolphin shows; the information was interesting and educational, and they have not stopped singing the music from the dolphin show. We love, love, loved the Arctic exhibit (with beautiful Beluga Whales) and the penguin area was a hit, as well. The play zone and mini-rides were a blast too. Thank you, SeaWorld for helping our tiny one have an unforgettable birthday!

The Orca show was epic... and these whales are fascinating

My daughter had a great time at the Sea World Rescue Jr play area... we spent abt 5 hours at the park and still did not see the entire park... highly recommend the Orca showing!! we look forward to visiting again and are glad we took advantage of the flash sale, buy a day get a discounted 2025. I would encourage the Black Friday presale prices... that is even cheaper than what we paid and well worth the value. Great outing for young families... thank you to "Juan" at the Sea World Store who was friendly and offered great customer service upon checkout.

How stupid was I bought this for unlimited tickets with all day eating. Not too much facilities were open that day and there were no clear signs that you can skip the line. Food were... you will know it once you get there! Never came back again. The top management should go out the door to checkout other theme park in the rest of the world! Two stars for the animals and trainers only!

Killer whales with their dorsal fins flopped over. THEIR FINS ARE MEANT TO BE STRAIGHT! Look it up for yourself!!

I wish I would've watched BlackFish sooner before I was gifted tickets to go here. I felt disgusted when I saw the whales with their fins flopped over. The whole park is smeared with quotes of supposed "rescue efforts" & "your visit today helps the animals", total fluffy crap to keep people fooled & their true reputation hidden. This park is completely falling apart & we all saw through their patched cracks. Cafeteria food & rude employees that clearly hate working there. My family & I will NEVER go back to this place again & I hope more people become more aware of the true reality of this place before considering going here.

Had the year pass and enjoyed my visits. Shows and a few rides. Fyi....mantra ride is not bbw friendly. Kids will have fun. Gift shops have a variety of items.

It was not too crowded, and there is a lot of parking on both the left and right side of the zoo, which made it easy. Before entering, there are many vendors selling food, hats, accessories, and children's toys. Children under 2 are free, ages 2 to 12 were $22, and adults were $27. I believe there is also a senior price, possibly around $24. We were able to go through the entire zoo in about 4 hours, and the kids spent some time at the playground, which was new to me since I had not been here in a few years. If you are going without children or with older kids, you could probably get through it faster. Some animals had been relocated to another zoo, and the elephants were not there, which was a bit of a bummer. We were told animals get put away about an hour before closing. I am not sure if that applies to all of them, since we still saw some animals out around closing time. We were able to bring in our own snacks and drinks, which was nice. They do have a few spots that sell food, drinks, ice cream, and other snacks, but they were a bit expensive for me. We did end up getting churros and shared them since they were really long and more than enough for my kids. Overall, it was a fun visit.

The LA Zoo is honestly a pretty nostalgic place for me because I've been coming here since I was a…read moretoddler, and there's still something special about walking through the park and seeing families enjoying the animals together. It's also a fairly large zoo with a lot of ground to cover and plenty of animals to see. That being said, I do feel like the quality of the zoo has gone downhill over the years which is why i awarded it 3/5 stars. There used to be far more exhibits and attractions consistently open, but over the past decade (possibly longer), it feels like every visit includes another closed exhibit, unavailable animal area, or ongoing renovation project. The recent removal and transfer of the Elephants of Asia made me especially sad, and even the petting zoo has remained closed for months now. Thankfully, not everything is negative. The zoo recently welcomed new chimpanzee, gorilla, and orangutan babies, which was genuinely exciting to see. Although I will say, for whatever reason, I feel like spotting the gorillas has become increasingly difficult every time I visit. But hey... if i was a gorilla, id avoid loud crowds too. lol. My personal favorite attractions are still the seals and the reptile exhibit. The zoo is definitely still a good place for families, especially if you have young children, but I highly recommend checking the weather beforehand because it can get HOT. There's decent shade throughout the park, but not many indoor areas with AC. My husband and I usually prefer visiting on weekdays because the traffic and crowds are much lighter. I also strongly recommend getting the membership if you plan on visiting more than once because honestly 2-3 visits practically pay for the membership itself. Plus, having a membership lets you take your time exploring instead of trying to rush through the entire zoo in one exhausting trip. If you need a break from the heat, the reptile house and wombat room are great places to cool down. Just keep in mind that the reptile room is pretty small and fills up quickly, and sometimes the wombat room is temporarily closed. There are several food spots and snack stands throughout the zoo, but honestly I usually prefer grabbing food from the vendors outside the park afterward. You'll typically find tacos, hot dogs, elotes, quesatacos, and other Mexican food options. Most of them also accept Zelle or Venmo now, which is convenient if you don't carry cash. One huge plus: parking is free and there's thankfully a lot of parking available. And this should probably go without saying, but wear comfortable shoes because there are definitely areas around the zoo with a decent amount of incline. By the end of the visit your calves will have their own testimony service. However, they do have electric wheelchairs available by the zoo entrance for those who don't want to brave a roundtrip off the zoo on foot.

Experience: Amenities:…read more Service: My nieces (4 yo and 8 months) were visiting for break and we were looking for some local expository things to do with them. My older loves animals, insects, and other non-human creatures so this place seemed perfect. We had been many years ago with our littles and they distinctly remember a giraffe so we figured their cousins would enjoy the experience too. We arrived at around 11 am on a Monday morning and found parking relatively easy- I think we were one of two families there which made it easy. There is a very small parking lot just outside the entrance and street parking. We entered through a really fun gift shop and made our way in. They have many exhibits of foxes, monkeys, birds, reptiles, and other small-to-medium sized animals to learn about. Each exhibit provided a learning display. We made our way through the "center" in just under two hours- really taking out time at each exhibit. Wr only noticed a couple of other families with littles as well, making it super easy to move through. While we say snakes foxes parrots and more, we don't see the giraffe . We did learn while we were there though that the giraffe was just visiting as it was being trained by the nextdoor business for television!!! Apparently that's a thing. Love L.A.! Ideal place for little kids! They have space for private parties, benches to enjoy a packed lunch (byobag situation), and a theater-education space where I believe they have events/activities, although we didn't see any. Pro-tip: sister purchase tickets on Groupon and saved money

After living in LA for just under two years my wife and I figured it was about time we actually checked this place out. We came here with all three of our dogs on a Sunday morning and it was a really cool experience. When you arrive to Griffith Park all you really have to do is follow the signs and it'll lead you right to a small parking lot, usually also loaded with man-made signs for kids birthday parties and such. Once you park, you have to follow a trail and walk up a slight hill for like two minutes before you are suddenly staring at some old enclosures and such. These enclosures are fully open, meaning you can walk right up to them, inside of them, and check them out yourself. If you follow the path a little more you are able to go up a hill and explore behind the bigger exhibits (which I was unable to do this day thanks to some recent lung issues). I have no idea how big the actual old zoo area is, but the area we saw was really freaking cool and definitely has me itching to come back when I'm 100% in order to see everything. Overall, The Old Zoo is cool chance to go back in time for free and experience old some Los Angeles. The park is free, parking is free, and guess what? Checking out the old zoo is free too. You really can't go wrong with some slight exploration and cool photo opportunities. I look forward to coming back soon and exploring some more.

The only real "pro" I felt about this zoo was that the parking was free, as most other locations always make you pay for parking. It was not very easy to tell where parking started from the exit I took off the 5 freeway, but the parking lot can easily be identified with all the other parents that are taking their children into the park. Adults - $14 Age 3-12 - $11 In total, we paid $39 for our family of 4 (1 child under 2 y.o.) so it was still very reasonable. Although the pricing made more sense when we went inside and saw just how small the zoo really was and how it's really a random location for the zoo due to the proximity to new multi-unit apartments and the highway. The train and ferris wheel did not appear to be operating on the weekend we went, which contributed to the lower rating. The butterfly exhibit was also closed which was a bummer, and the biggest animal we saw included a couple camels. Overall, it's still impressive that they have a zoo within the city. There is also a small playground near the entrance that gives a chance for parents to take a breath. I will probably never return (my first and last time checking out this zoo) but it's probably worth a visit for anyone local that has never been here!

Lots of beautiful themed decorations in the front entrance and right as you walk through. We went straight to the reading area to get in line for meet the mermaid. We waited about 15 minutes. The mermaid was very friendly and played the part well. There were lots of Kidspace photographers. Next we went to the 1:30pm "party in paradise" performance at the outdoor amphitheater. My girls' (almost 5 & 7yo) favorite is the craft room. Today's activity was still the paper butterfly cutouts (we came on 3/30). They could spend the whole visit in the craft room! Well, it turns out they change their calendar and don't put out any announcement about it and so what I marked down is now incorrect . It's really frustrating. I wish they would send out an update when they decide to change their calendar or maybe just not put out the calendar so far in advance if they're going to change it.. All that being said, this place is great. We come here all the time. I started taking my baby when she was eight months old and I found out about their baby room, which is an amazing developmentally appropriate spot for babies to grow. They have carpet which is essential for babies learning to crawl. If you have a 0-12 month old DO not skip out on this! It's the absolute best part of KS IMO. Now that my child is almost 2. She loves the whole place... Her favorite is the stream... Make sure you bring an extra set of clothes and a towel because your kids will get wet! It's great that they change up their theme so often and that they bring in new items to play with all the time... We particularly love the clay table for the spring and I love the sensory bins on toddler Tuesday. Toddler Tuesday is absolutely wonderful. People always ask how it's different.- well, they set up the art room for toddlers so instead of having crafts where you may have to use scissors don't have something similar like painting ice... They also have sensory bins set up for them as well as some fun activities like sidewalk chalk. There are less older kids there which makes the toddlers have more freedom to roam about.
