Adventureland is a jam-packed area of Disneyland. I say that both from the sense of attractions and just foot traffic. I feel like this is one of the more cramped areas of the park both from guests trying to get on rides and just move to other areas of the park. Walkways are narrow and windy which means it can be tricky to move around on busy days. If you're in a large group, please be mindful of this and don't stop in the middle to check a map or talk or something. Move to the side to let people move through more easily. The crowds aside, I think this area has some great attractions. From the classic (& admittedly hokey) Tiki Room to the thrill filled Indiana Jones ride. This area really has a little something for everyone. And don't sleep on the food! Beyond the iconic Dole Whip, places like Bangal Barbecue offer treats unlike anything else at the park. Be sure to spend some time in Adventureland. Don't just use it as your way to get in to New Orleans Square. It's worthy of spending a few hours in on your trip to Disneyland. read more

Adventureland opened on July 17, 1955 and has themes of exotic exploration and tiki culture. This area of Disneyland has heavy use of bamboo and wood and has popular rides like Indiana Jones Adventure and Jungle Cruise. There is another version at Disney World's Magic Kingdom which feels larger and more open compared to Disneyland's. Right at rope drop we noticed a lot of people walking through Adventureland first and lining up at Indiana Jones. The walkways got really narrow so we couldn't run but instead had to walk. It's a popular area so I'd recommend going early. read more

Even though there are not a lot of rides here at Adventureland, I still enjoy walking through it. This themed land was created to resemble the remote jungles of Africa, Asia and South America. The Jungle Cruise has been here since the park opened and is a classic. Indiana Jones Adventure is one of my favorite rides and is the main attraction here at Adventureland. It is sandwiched in between Jungle Cruise and the Adventureland Treehouse. The Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room is also a classic that has been here at Disneyland for some time. Adventureland is one of the smaller themed lands at Disneyland. They have a number of food and drinks options. The Tiki Juice Bar is the most popular because they sell the Pineapple Dole Whip soft-serve and floats. It has been a must for me to order one of these ever since I was a kid coming to Disneyland. They are perfect during the hot summers at Disney. Order on the mobile app to avoid the long lines. Bengal Barbecue has a selection of skewers that you can order as a snack or on a plate as a combo. If you want more of a healthy option. right next to the Jungle Cruise is a fruit stand that sells whole fruits like oranges and apples.. I personally like coming here when I need a break from all the junk food that I usually eat. read more

Out of all the rides in Disneyland our 8 year old was most excited to ride the Indiana Jones Adventure! She rode with daddy and had an absolute blast! I was jealous since it's my favorite ride, but stayed with our sleeping baby. Next time! The ride next to it is the Jungle Cruise, a classic for all ages! I went up the stairs to tour what it would be like to live in the Adventureland Treehouse with my both my daughters since it's for all ages. My favorite part were the realistic sounds and movements of the wild animals like the moving ostrich and of course the beautiful waterfall outside! I would definitely recommend visiting Adventure Land! We'll be back to see the classic, Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room! Whenever I think of it, I start singing the tropical birds song haha! I think our 8 month old would absolutely love it, it's for all ages!! And I cannot believed we forgot to get a Dole Whip from Tiki Juice Bar! Is it even a Disney trip without it!? You can get to Adventureland from Main Street U.S.A at Disneyland. It's a relatively small area, but some of my favorite rides are in Adventureland. My family enjoys the Indiana Jones Adventure, when it's not broken, and the jungle cruise. On our last Disneyland visit during the Halloween Half Marathon, Indiana Jones ride broke over 10+ times in just two days! We got several lightning lane multi-ride experience tickets. The Jungle Cruise is a lot of fun. You'll encounter a variety of "Wildlife" during the boat tour and lots of funny jokes too! The wait time usually averages around 30 minutes for the stand-by queue. There is no lightning lane for this ride in Disneyland. If you wanted to experience other activities, the Adventureland Treehouse just recently reopened up. You'll get to climb a flight of stairs, and discover the wonders inside the treehouse! There are some really good viewing spots of the theme park from the tree as well! There is also a show at Adventureland, Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room! Disneyworld also has a similar show at Magic Kingdom. During the show, you'll enjoy an audio-animatronics singing birds! It's a lot of fun. The show usually last 15 minutes! There are over 225 choreographed Audio-Animatronic performers! There are a few dining locations inside Adventureland -The Tropical Hideaway -Tropical Imports -Tiki Juice Bar -Bengal Barbecue Shopping is limited to one store, the Adventureland Bazaar. There are a lot of great options inside the store though such as apparel, gifts, accessories, and seasonal items! Every Disneyland visit, we try to at least ride Indiana Jones and the Jungle Cruise once! Food is just okay in the Adventureland area. The Pineapple Dole Whip is the best though! read more

One of my fave themed lands in Disneyland because of the jungle ambience and it houses the Indiana Jones ride! I really like the 1930s/1940s decor inside the "ancient temple" while in the line queue for the Indiana Jones ride, same with Jungle Cruise just with a safari feel. I kind of hope they add another ride to this themed lands as they only have two and the Adventureland Treehouse walkthrough doesn't really count as a ride. read more

Best land in the park hands down. Between the Indiana Jones ride, the safari shop and jungle river cruise and also the food options, this is just the best area at Disneyland. The bengal skewers are a good meal and you can get the sauce on the side if you're on a strict diet (which can be hard to follow at the parks!) I think this will always be my favorite land at Disneyland. They have the best rides and theme overall! I think the food is also probably one of the best. From the catchy Tiki Room to the Jungle Cruise and then Indiana Jones and Pirates, it's all so fun! I love that they've been coming out with more fun dole whip concoctions too but nothing beats the classic for sure. They even got delicious baos now which pair well with the bbq sticks. Adventureland features various attractions such as the Enchanted Tiki Room, Indiana Jones, Jungle Cruise, and the new refurbished tree house. Additionally, they have quick service food options such as Bengal BBQ or my favorite - Tropical Imports. Love a Disney pickle or mango slices with Tajin. Also, there is Adventureland Bazaar for all your shopping needs. They do sell Trader Sam's merchandise if you want to jazz up your wardrobe before you have a cocktail at the famous tiki bar. This is definitely a fun land to explore your next Disney trip! One last thing, as you near Indiana Jones, look out for my friend the Little Man of Disneyland Patrick! Adventureland feels compact and rushed. Like they keep it around as a filler spot in the park. Not to say that there isn't stuff to do here, it is just a compact area with tons of people streaming through. Like everyone thought this was going to be a shortcut or something. The are is home to two attractions, the Indiana Jones Adventure (which always seems to have a line of at least a hour) and the Jungle Cruise (a gentle ride with less wait). There is also the remnant of the Swiss Family Treehouse that just kind of sits there looming over the area. It doesn't help that this area is tucked behind Main Street, U.S.A., Frontierland, and New Orleans Square. This is one of the few places in the park that the transitions don't really mesh well with the other areas of the park. The eateries here are always jam packed with customers. You nearly have to fight someone to get a table after grabbing your food. Or find a place that is able to be used for sitting to enjoy your food. read more

Put on your pith helmet, and set course for adventure... Adventureland that is. Adventureland is one of the smaller lands, yet it packs a lot of greatness in the small space. Rides are limited to Jungle Cruise and Indian Jones. Jungle Cruise is a boat ride. Skippers have a corny joke for everything. See such wonders as the back side of water, and hippos blowing bubbles. Indian Jones takes riders on some of the famous archeologist's adventures. Adventureland is also the home of the Enchanted Tiki Room. Watch birds, flowers and Tiki sing and put on a show. It's just as corny as the Jungle Cruise. That is part of what makes it so good. Originally opened in the 1960's, one of the things that makes this attraction so great is that it is much unchanged. There is also a tree house. Originally modeled after the Swiss Family Robinson, the tree house was later changed to be Tarzan themed. On our last visit, the tree house was closed for renovations. The tree house is reverting back to a Swiss Family Robinson Tree House. Shopping and dining in Adventureland are unique within the park. The Bazaar has goods reflective of the land's rides and attractions. The shop is made to look like a bazaar from Aladdin or Indian Jones. The Tiki Juice bar in front of the Enchanted Tiki Room is app purchases only. Located behind the Tiki Room is the Tropical Hideaway. The Tropical Hideaway takes cash and cards. Their menu includes Dole Whip and bao buns. Across from Indian Jones is Bengal Barbecue. Bengal Barbecue serves barbecued skewers. This is one of the healthier options in the park. read more

Adventureland is one of the original themed lands made famous on Walt's Disney's show Disneyland and is showcased here. The primary attractions here are the Enchanted Tiki room-Walt's original delving into the world of autoanimatronics, the Jungle cruise, Indiana Jones and the temple of the evil eye, and the soon to be opened and rethemed Adventureland treehouse. The treehouse once opened will be another recreation of the story on which it was originally based on-Swiss Family Robinson. You can get food here. Quick service include Bengal Barbeque, Tropical hideaway, and the Tiki bar. There are also gift shops here as well. Thoughout Adventureland you can hear the jungle music or whatever else far away sound that lead you into the Amazon or other places of Adventure. The Pirates of the Caribbean much associated with Adventure is located in New Orleans Square. (All rides I visited are reviewed separately). The Magic Kingdom counterpart:-equal. The Magic Kingdom has the Tiki room, the Swiss family treehouse, the magic carpets of Aladdin, the jungle cruise, and the Pirates of the Caribbean. They also have a Dole whip stand called the Sunshine tree terrace where you can get deserts. However they do lack my new favorite ride- Indiana Jones. The vibe is slightly different there. The Pirates sail from Caribbean plaza and they have a new restaurant there called the Jungle Navigational Co.LTD-Skipper Canteen. The attractions that are similar in both parks are longer here in Disneyland with either added scenes or full musical scores. That more than makes up for less attractions and having a headliner here such as Indiana Jones nearly takes my breath away. Adventureland always has and always will be one of my favorite lands to visit while I'm in Disneyland. read more

Adventureland is probably my third favorite after Frontierland and Tomorrowland. It's built more like a narrow alley, and less like a "land" than others. I do love the Indiana Jones ride, but often when its a busy time of day, I don't bother. Same with the Tiki Room, its fun and enjoyable but because the area is so hard to navigate at certain times due to the crowds I avoid it entirely or simply use it as a walk through to get back to Main Street. I was actually surprised to find that Pirates of the Caribbean falls under Adventureland since I tend to lump it in with the French Quarter as its located near the Rivers of America. Once you file out past the treehouse it's much more spacious and feels a little less densely populated. Personally I'd love to see Disney remove the treehouse or some of the storefronts to even out the flow a little more in the coming years, especially now that there is more of a focus on social distancing. All in all though - Pirates of the Caribbean is most definitely one of my favorite rides at Disneyland! read more

Besides being The Happiest Place on Earth, it's also full of heart pumping moments! My first visit here was when I was 10 years old. My sisters and I squealed with delight when we saw the talking and singing birds at the Enchanted Tiki Room! We jumped out of our seats during the Jungle Cruise when the elephants and hippopotamus scared us! Mom would always reassure us that it was "just pretend" and get us a Dole Whip at the Tiki Juice Bar... yum! Years later, the Indiana Jones Adventure was built. It's kind of crowded and lacking in walking area since one has to go around strollers and trees and things like that. And it's kind of small, square footage-wise. I love Adventureland. My favorite ride, Indiana Jones, is located here. This is a MUST RIDE! Tarzan's Tree House is next door, which provided a line free attraction that my little one enjoys. The Jungle Cruise is so much fun. We went on several times in a row. (Pick the outer lane! It moves faster every time.) On a hot day, you can purchase Dole Whip and watch the Tikiland bird show. This is NOT a must do in my book... But if you are exhausted and want air conditioning while your kids are entertained, it's a good bet. One of my favorite land in Disneyland! There are two main attractions and some small ones, Jungle cruise and Indiana Jones. Indiana Jones is my favorite ride in the Disneyland resort. So much fun! And here is also where you can get the famous dole whip! The land is pretty small, so it can be very congested and crowded when the park is busy.
