I'm not sure where the owners of Affordable Luxuries started, but their business plan, at some point, very intelligently took sharp turn toward gear for Seattle's great sports passion. Seahawks-emblazoned ball caps, stocking caps, sweaters, hoodies, socks, mugs, shot glasses, jackets, scarves and the rest. You'll find all the Hawks colors, the college navy, the action green, and the wolf grey. To be fair, they STILL have what would be classically defined as "affordable luxuries": Purses, jewelry, sunglasses, and earrings. You'll find 'em all along the back walls, the less affordable (or maybe more steal-able) luxuries are glass-encased. There's also a smattering of other stuff, from best-sellers, Mariners gear, and, stunningly, a bit of New England Patriots jackets. WTF! 1 star for this Ross Store…read more I purchased a pair of pliers on May 12, 2026, and after a few uses, I returned it on May 28, because the latch broke--likely due to poor material quality. When I tried to return it, the staff member, Marcel, accused me of breaking it myself, despite my explanation that it was already defective. She even questioned why I hadn't returned it earlier, as if I would return a perfectly working item. This entire experience was unprofessional. Marcel's handling of the return process was poor, and I wish she had better training in customer service. Otherwise, she would probably be better suited in the back room organizing clothes, as she is simply not competent in serving customers. I'm sharing this with my 115 million Google readers to warn them. Because of this, I will not be returning to this store. Additionally, this woman took the defective plier and did not give me my refund. I was also not provided a new return transaction receipt showing the item was processed back into inventory. I was only given my original receipt, so I am unsure whether the return was properly completed in the system, even though the product was taken back. She just gave me the old receipt back and no money was given. Usually, after a refund the cashier would give a new receipt along with the old and the money for the refund. It's about $7.00, so I guess she can keep it, but I will not be returning. This was honestly one of the worst customer service experiences I have had at a Ross location. What made the situation worse was the attitude and lack of professionalism during the interaction. Instead of trying to resolve the issue calmly or assist a paying customer, I felt like I was being blamed and dismissed over a low-cost defective item. Customers should not feel uncomfortable or accused when returning a broken product that clearly failed after normal use. I understand store policies exist, but there is also a proper way to speak to customers. A simple explanation, professionalism, and basic courtesy would have made a big difference. The way this situation was handled reflects poorly on the store's management and customer service standards. The worst service I ever had from this Filipino (Asian) woman.

I just want to let everyone know that the people that work here, ( I don't even know their names because they refused to tell me their names), are very rude and unprofessional especially the " Manager ". They provided the WORST customer service I ever encountered in my life! Exactly two weeks ago, my husband bought a jersey for me that was too big. I did not want to get store credit nor a refund. I simply just wanted to exchange it for a smaller size. I had the receipt, it was unused, and it had the tags. They refused to exchanged it because it had a tiny almost unseen mark close to the armpit. It was there when I received it. The "Manager "was getting angry, loud and out of control. When I asked to speak with her boss, she said she was the boss . I asked the cashier what the " Manager's " name was, he refused to give me her name. I was so shocked. I couldn't' believe what I herd. I asked him a second time and he said, " I am not allowed to give you that information"! Then I politely told her that I didn't catch her name. She said she did not have to tell me that . The silly thing is that I was willing to exchange it with one that had make up on the collar. I got to tell you all it is the worst worst customer service here at the Team Shop at Westfield Mall in Southcenter. This store does not even deserve one or half a star! Jason is pretty much the main reason why we ended up purchasing from this place. He is very prompt with his responses and he provides outstanding customer service. The key with these online purchases is communication which establishes trust and confidence. Jason quickly earned this and exhibited professional and competent traits throughout the process. Everything was seamless from the initial communication to the installation. What really impressed me the most is ...there was a payment error on our part and Jason worked with us patiently and diligently to get it resolved to my satisfaction. My 5 star review is pretty much attributed to this guy and how he handled the entire transaction. If you are like me who expects and demands stellar service especially with high priced purchases then Jason is your guy.
