I took the E-Bike tour with Seattle Rider Tours, seattleridertours.com. I have lived near Seattle for twelve years and, vis-à-vis my relatives, thought I had a pretty good handle on Seattle. This tour showed me various sides of Seattle that I had not known about, such as the Ballard marina, where the fishing fleet for Alaska docks in the off-season. The Ballard locks, where salmon can be seen migrating to Lake Washington, was a high point for me. I also enjoyed the Gas Works Park, which has a view of Lake Union and the seaplanes landing.
Our guide, Dave, was also packed with detailed information about all the places we visited, telling us about the plants and trees we saw, the history of Seattle, and how points of interest developed.
It was my first time on an E-Bike. It was easy and unbelievably fun. There are many bike lanes in the area.
I recommend this tour even if you live in Seattle or its environs. read more
