The entire staff is kind and efficient. Having had work done by both the docs there I always feel that I'm in the most capable hands -- and they both are so friendly! No need to dread going to the dentist anymore! There is a parking lot and in a pinch, you can park along the street (but I've always found a space). The staff there is proactive and helpful. I first started seeing Dr. Markeson after I moved to Seattle from AZ, where I had a dentist who tried to give me 4 crowns (got a 2nd opinion in AZ). In my youth I also had sort of negative dentist experiences causing me to avoid the dentist if possible. Dr. Markeson took the time to explain procedures (he recommended fixing my old fillings by replacing them with new fillings) and definitely took the time to let me ask questions and address any concerns. I visited his office regularly for dental cleanings and also Invisalign. I actually tried to continue coming to the office once I got married and moved to Tacoma, but alas! My dental insurance changed and it seemed like a big effort to make it the distance with a small child at home. I recently visited Dr Markeson for a cleaning again. There was a small mixup where I thought my insurance could work, but it didn't. I paid out of pocket for my dental cleaning and got to ask Dr Markeson some questions about dental procedures that a dentist in Tacoma was recommending. I felt a lot more informed when I left. Also I brought my small kiddo to hang out and use an iPad while I had my appt, no issues! My dental cleaning and x rays were thorough and easy, no issues.

I had contacted another local dentist facility to make an appointment after moving to this new area. I had a pretty top of the charts horrible experience and after they cancelled my dentist appointment without asking me, I knew it was time to move on! I was a bit disheartened by the treatment from the other clinic, but from the moment I walked in, the receptionist had me laughing and smiling. She's absolutely a delight to see and you can tell that she really loves her job and the people she works with. I don't blame her! The assistant that helps the dentist is absolutely hilarious. I've never talked and laughed so much during a dentist appointment before. She truly brightens your day. The dentist is so knowledgeable and kind, I knew I could trust their opinion. They even provided me with a reference when I mentioned I had my retainers, yes, eaten by my dog.
