I have a lot of dental anxiety, and I've never been somewhere that does as much to relieve that anxiety. They really go out of their way for me. They know I'm anxious, and give me nitrous oxide to help. I don't even have to ask, they've made a note in my chart. And the dentists are do fantastic work without causing excess pain. I just had a temporary crown done, and my jaw was sore for a day. And that's all. Much better than other dental work I've received elsewhere. But truly, I've been a patient here for over a decade.

I first started seeing Dr. Markeson after I moved to Seattle from AZ, where I had a dentist who tried to give me 4 crowns (got a 2nd opinion in AZ). In my youth I also had sort of negative dentist experiences causing me to avoid the dentist if possible. Dr. Markeson took the time to explain procedures (he recommended fixing my old fillings by replacing them with new fillings) and definitely took the time to let me ask questions and address any concerns. I visited his office regularly for dental cleanings and also Invisalign. I actually tried to continue coming to the office once I got married and moved to Tacoma, but alas! My dental insurance changed and it seemed like a big effort to make it the distance with a small child at home. I recently visited Dr Markeson for a cleaning again. There was a small mixup where I thought my insurance could work, but it didn't. I paid out of pocket for my dental cleaning and got to ask Dr Markeson some questions about dental procedures that a dentist in Tacoma was recommending. I felt a lot more informed when I left. Also I brought my small kiddo to hang out and use an iPad while I had my appt, no issues! My dental cleaning and x rays were thorough and easy, no issues.

The only downside of this dental office is the hours of operation. You would hope they'd open 5 days a week but they aren't.
