Tap / Draft not working. Bottle beer is cool (not cold). Wings were awful. Service is disengaged. Basically, to sum it up. One word. Yuck.

Sam the bartender is great. His service is attentive and he is so pleasant. The food quality is great- I had tilapia and it was fresh and seasoned well. The veggies and side of rice were also delicious. I will be back and be sure to stay at the hotel again when in the area due to the quality of the on-site restaurant.

Seasonz is a bar and restaurant located inside the Doubletree Somerset hotel - on the main level. I had dinner here the first night, and breakfast the next morning. For dinner, I had their nachos with pulled pork. The nachos are served with sides of sour cream and something that is supposed to be guacamole. It was more like highly processed avocado paste - than guacamole. Whatever it was, it was not very good. In contrast, most of the rest of the nachos were pretty tasty - the pork was very tender. I also had a beer with dinner - the only craft beer on the menu - a local English IPA - and not very good. In this day and age - with so many really good local craft breweries around - that hotels like this provide such limited craft beer options. For breakfast, they have a breakfast buffet. I'm not sure if they even had a breakfast menu - as one was not offered to me - I was pointed to the buffet. Standard low end buffet - lots of carbs (cereals, breads, muffins, oatmeal), plus scrambled eggs, some very unappetizing looking shredded potatoes, bacon, and sausage. I also ordered a glass of V8 juice, was told they did not have any, but they did have tomato juice. I ordered a glass of that - plus coffee and water. The tomato juice had a very odd flavor. Strange enough that I did not finish it. The coffee was good. The eggs were rather flavorless - needed some seasoning. The bacon was overcooked and crumbling apart. The best thing on the buffet was the sausage. #Seasonz

Pink Pistachio has been all over my TikTok, so I was very excited to realize it was only a few…read moremiles from me. Obviously had to check it out. It ended up being the perfect weekday spot to sit and yap for a while. We originally planned to just grab coffee and a sweet treat, but once we got there, we ended up staying for lunch too. The decor is so cute and the overall atmosphere is really nice. It feels like one of those places you can hang out in without feeling rushed. The service was also great and everyone was super friendly and attentive. Only thing to note is the service charge. Not an issue that it exists, but it wasn't super clear before paying. I did notice after the fact that it's explained on the back of the plaque with the menu QR code. We ended up double tipping, which was fine because the service was great, but it's just something to be aware of for next time. Overall, definitely a spot I'd go back to for coffee, food, and a good catch up session.

Really cute pink cafe and ambiance. Service was friendly, but not as attentive as I would've…read moreliked, despite the cafe not really being busy. I opted for the pink pistachio chai, which despite its visual appearance it was sort of mild in flavor. I didn't taste the chai spices that I love. The French toast was very lightly dipped so it wasn't "custardy", so again I was missing the French toast flavor. And 2 pieces for $16 means $8 a slice, which was so not worth it. The beef bacon was good. I loved the presentations of the food, it just didn't quite deliver on execution.

I have a bit of a bias against this place and it's not really against THIS place at all. After my…read morefather died my mom spent a lot of time here to cope when it used to be Freddy's. Some might say too much time. Some might say. So I just typically avoid the area because it brings back so much...stuff. When it transitioned to Stateside sometime during the early days of the pandemic we did get take out once and it was delicious - I still dream about the Brussels sprouts. But it was a bit expensive when everyone was dying and all. Like am I really gonna risk my life for $16 sprouts? I think not. Now I think it's under new - new management. My cousin stopped by there about a month ago when she was in the area and gave it great reviews. I was feeling A Kind of Way a couple of weekends ago and just really wanted a cold beer. So me and huzzo stopped in. Service was good and beer was solid. This week I wanted another beer. Blame your president as he insists upon annihilating everyone and sending our collective pressure through the roof. We arrived about 20 minutes before the end of Happy Hour and snagged a couple of beers as well as wings and a shrimp quesadilla. The food was great but the service was the real stunner. I found myself stuck between two beers and the bartender suggested Arnold Palmering it and going halfsies on both. Fantastic decision - the mixed drink was refreshing and tart without being too pedestrian or too far afield. Food came out quickly and deliciously. Saved $15 on food prices alone during Happy Hour. Fat things: The bar stools are excellent - steel with a wide seat and a foot bar so your legs don't fall asleep. And they don't pack too many of them in so it's easy to get into and out of your seat without bumping someone else. Other stuff: They have regular indoor seating and an outdoor seating area on the side with couches, high table, and heat lamps. Overall, the space is open, airy, bright, and clean. It's pretty packed when the temps warm up but shoulder season is very nice for us right now. Be advised: Regular menu prices still seem steep - like everything else these days. But the food is good and they have a very nice craft beer selection. If you can't make happy hour and are looking to treat yourself this might be it. We'll def return!
