We had our company Christmas dinner this year at the Seasons Brasserie in Oakville. Hannah who coordinated the event was super helpful right from day one till the evening of the event and also made it a point to come and make sure with me that the team was well looked after. She helped me put together a bespoke dinner menu with enough vegetarian options (some team members were vegetarians). We had assorted Canapes that included Chicken Skewers, Smoked Salmon Crostinis, Caprese and Spring Rolls. All were very tasty and popular. The red and white wine selections- Cab Sav and the Chablis were pretty good. For the mains the team had a selection of Prime Rib, Vegan Cassoulet, Cornish Hen or Pasta Primavera to choose from. I personally had the Prime Rib which was done medium rare and cooked to perfection in its jus. Marbling was ok, however not perfect (my portion had a bit extra fat hanging at the edges) and sauce was good. I heard the hen and the cassoulet were tasty too. We finished the evening off with Lava Cake and Creme Brulee, with the lava cake getting more thumbs ups. The service and the bar were attentive, courteous and fast and people got their special cocktails and drinks at the bar as and when needed. Booked it for a birthday dinner and it was quite honestly, a really disappointing experience. We arrived for our reservation for 6 and we were sat by the hostess who was kind of rude and didn't have her mask on most of the time. After being sat, we waited 30 minutes before anyone came and greeted us and asked if we wanted drinks. I made eye contact with the waiter SEVERAL times but he would look at me and look away. It was really not busy and tables were empty. The table next to us were sat and ordered drinks AND food. We finally had a server come and ask if we wanted drinks, and we all ordered. The drinks took maybe another 15 minutes. The time limit we were given was 1 hour and 20 mins by the way. After we got our drinks, we got our orders in. Most of the time when i looked back, our waitress would be on her phone. I believe she was the manager (tall young Asian lady) she didn't have her mask on unless she was literally BY our table and put it up. Whenever i would ask her a question about the menu, she just looked simply annoyed and i did NOT feel welcomed. The food came in a reasonable time. It was tasty but honestly nothing special. The meat in the burger was really really tough though. The fries tasted like McDonald fries with a hint of Parmesan. We wanted to order desserts but the waitress would literally come and picked up our food and left while we literally were mid sentence. We were appalled. We got the desserts and talked for a while. The only reason i gave them two stars is because the food is quite good and we were allowed to stay for a while. The bill came to be handwritten? This was my first time here. Came for lunch with my daughter and 2 very hard of hearing seniors. Thank goodness for a very patient and lovely waitress. We all started with a glass of wine which came promptly. Then we had appys. Beet and goat cheese salad was perfect with the red and gold beets and the big piece of cheese with a light dressing. We also ordered the clam chowder which was Smokey goodness. Mains were the fusilli with spicy sausage. Also a lunch special. Amazing tomato sauce. I had the turkey club. When I think of a turkey club it's on toast with a few slices of turkey, bacon, lettuce and tomato. This came on a hamburger bun with a huge fistful of sliced turkey, lettuce, a type of thousand island sauce, and guacamole. It was probably the best turkey club I've ever had. One of the seniors looked at her pasta and INSISTED she did not order that, she ordered a burger. The waitress did not blink an eye. Scooped up the pasta and brought her a burger. Such patience. It's not a cheap lunch. But we loved it. Will definitely be back. read more

Very mediocre. Came here on a Sunday for lunch and it took about 10 minutes to get seated (the restaurant was empty). The food we ordered was good but nothing exceptional. I got the seared shrimp salad. It was tasty but nothing I'd return for. The servers hardly paid attention to us through our meal and weren't welcoming. We got desserts as well- lemon pavlova and chocolate lava cake. The pavlova was light and delicious. The lava cake wasn't warmed all the way through and seemed stale. When we tried cutting into it, it was very hard and no chocolate melted through the cake. When my friend told the server that the cake wasn't heated all the way through, her response was "well you already destroyed this one so I'll ask the kitchen to make you a new one" UM???? Bye. That is so rude and was she implying that she would've simply reheated the one she already served if my friend hadn't cut into it? Anyway we got a new cake which was warmer but still stale. We've had better lava cakes at other restaurants. For the restaurant being completely empty I expected better customer service. Firstly, it looks like a posh little spot that would drag a customer in. However upon sitting down the table was dirty, the absolutely bland and boring server approached us and handed us absolutely disgusting, dirty, crinkled menus that offered us unreal overpriced food. At those prices I would definitely expect maybe a new menu at least. Let's take into consideration we're in a global pandemic and clearly nothing had been cleaned or replaced. We paid for our $20 drinks and left right after. Definitely would not recommend anyone to go there at this point. read more

We arrived in the evening for a desert treat . The waitress wasn't pleasant at first . We were told to stay to a table that was all marked from wine glasses and unclean . The waitress ( a senior lady ) start putting spoons in the dirty table without napkins. She brought me a tea that was cold . Beautiful interior and we had the 2nd floor all to ourselves and it was a wonderful evening...we were served a prix fixe menu with our choice of the main....however every dish served lacked important elements for example the salad was just greens from what seemed like a grocery store salad bag with simple dressing, steak had very little gravy , butternut squash needed more flavour and the dessert wasn't spectacular either...the food was all in all very typical and bland which I was not expecting. read more

We recently celebrated my Mothers 80th birthday at Seasons. Our group of 22 had our own private room which was beautiful. The table set up was gorgeous and the meal and service were fabulous. We brought in our own cake and the staff took care of cutting, beautifully plating and serving it. My mom was thrilled with her special day and the family couldn't be happier with our decision to celebrate at Seasons. In fact, we said why aren't we doing all our family celebrations there!? We decided to try Seasons on a little day trip adventure from Toronto. This restaurant was absolutely amazing! We enjoyed their meat pizza, which is more of a gourmet flatbread, to start followed by their delicious burger, white lasagna, chicken & mushroom pie and bison pasta. We LOVED everything. Our waiter was funny and very attentive. Our glasses were topped up often and we were checked on during every course. I highly recommend this restaurant! Save room for dessert! read more

Love the atmosphere on the patio. Lovely, helpful and kind wait staff. I had the most amazing Aperol Spritz. The taste was perfection. I really enjoyed my entrée which was the pasta bolognese . This is one of if not the best restaurant in Oakville. We come here often before a performance at the theatre. We have tried several offerings and have never been disappointed. Steak is great cooked to perfection that may be paired with a splendid world offering of wines. Never rushed but also acceptant of time constraints before a performance. He cared nothing for our concerns and when I told him to just give me the bill so I could leave, he tried to tell me I know nothing about owning a restaurant. A group of us (12 ppl) came here for dinner last night! We were in the private room in the basement which was like an ancient wine cellar. Great atmosphere! The food was truly amazing. I ordered pork belly for appetizer; seafood linguine with muscles and diver's scallops for main and shared the warm chocolate cake with my husband! Enjoyed every bite of my dinner. The service was excellent. The waiter took a great care of us. Pampered us but not overdoing. He really let us enjoy our conversations without rushing us at all. I have always considered this one of the best restaurants in Oakville, but last night was not a good experience. The servers appeared rushed, confused and overwhelmed. Waited twenty minutes for one of our party to get a glass of wine, waited another twenty for our bill. Servers rushed by without checking in. One plate cleared and the other never was. Worst of it was that no server was wearing a mask and no social distancing observed where it could have been. It was unpleasant and felt unsafe and disorganized. My husband, son and I have been frequenting Seasons for several years now. It is our favourite restaurant in Oakville and we are treated like family there. When we have functions at our home, Seasons caters them to perfection. Everyone raves about the food... especially the lamb! The appetizers and entrees are always delicious, and the presentation is always perfect. Kudos to Chef Doug, and also Chef Zack, ( I believe his name is), who always strive to perfect our special requests. It's always nice to chat with George and Tammy as well, which is a nice touch. I had to listen to a really long winded story about mediocre food in small portions (not, high end small portions), severe allergy concerns not even attempted to avoid (how hard is it to not put strawberries on something, and seriously who forgets a strawberry allergy??) and just terrible begrudging service at this restaurant. The conversation went on for almost ten minutes which is way too long to bother talking about something if it wasn't just an 'kind of bad' time, it must have truly been bad. My wife and I have been going to Seasons Restaurant for many years George and Tammy have changed the personality of the restaurant from a traditional Continental one to an art nouveau ambiance with imaginative modern cuisine. Since then,it has been our family favourite place for a special meal. Recently we invited 42 friends for lunch on a Sunday. George and Tammy catered to all our requests including last minute cancellations. The result was an outstanding success. Our guests , without exception , said "WOW". The lamb( melted in your mouth), the steak, the fish, vegetarian plate were all cooked to perfection. Service was very, very efficient...wine,soft drinks, other drinks were served promptly..a seamless operation. Good is great. My boyfriend and I ordered a warm salad and steak to share and the already spilt it in the the kitchen for us. The steak is the right doneness and the the meat is tender and juicy. The food was good, but nothing special. Big plates with small portions, but that was to be expected. The service was pretty bad. When asked for wine, the waiter left to get (what I presumed would be a wine menu) but instead returned with a filled glass of wine. I hadn't even told him what type of wine I wanted. There was mold on one of the raspberries in my salad. There was no bread on the table, and when I asked for some the waiter returned with a tiny plate of five flimsy pieces of bread. After requesting a refill, the second batch of bread was grilled. The first batch was not. Pretty inconsistent. Was kept waiting around very long for the bill (don't know why, because it was very quiet). It's a pretty good atmosphere with okay food, but the mediocre service ruined it all. read more
