I'm always looking for a good WFH cafe, and Seasmith fits the bill. There's a decent amount of seating and a lot of natural light. The cafe is not very large though and it's right in the heart of Cap Hill, so it can get very busy. Since it's also popular with workers, it can be hard for a space to open up. Additionally, half of the seating they provide are tables, which can fit up to 4-6 people, but some individuals take up the whole table, which can be unfair. Otherwise, they sell your standard coffees, teas, cafe food, wines and beers. I didn't get a chance to try their food, but their latte was solid. So, if you're lucky enough to snag a spot, it's a lovely place to work or chat with friends. read more

I love coming to this coffee shop. I've been coming here since 2024 I believe and it's a good coffee shop I they always have good service when I come in and I always just order like hot chocolate or a hibiscus water which is really good and it has no sugar which I like a lot and they only have a good pastries. Was looking for a cute place with easier parking, good ambiance, food, and variety of drinks, and came across seasmith. On a Tuesday at 12 pm, they ran out of matcha and a couple of popular food items, but they still had coffees and teas and other food items to choose from. Seating was ample despite it being filled, and the high ceilings, large glass windows, clean wooden tables, and plants helped create a perfect vibe for studying or getting work done. Bathrooms are clean and well stocked. Servers are wonderfully kind and quick to help. Reusable dishes if you order "for here." Yelp states that there's validated parking, but when I asked the worker, they said they don't validate parking. Parking garage under the grocery store has limited retail spots 0-1 h for $4, 1-2 h for $8, etc. paid street parking available as well. read more

I visited seasmith around 3pm on a Tuesday and it was packed!! It's conveniently located right by the link station and cal anderson park. I ordered a golden latte ($7) which was just okay, i've had better. It wasn't very smooth and I felt like the turmeric settled at the bottom. I came here to study and the direct light was pretty harsh (bad glare on my laptop) but I do love a sunlit cafe. Overall I think it's a cute cafe in a high traffic area, and a great place to catch up with a friend. read more

TLDR: great coffee, perfect spot for studying or working remotely This place has been on my radar ever since I saw it quietly open by the light rail station. I've only tried a couple of their drinks so far but their coffee is super smooth, perfect hot drink for the cold weather. There's usually plenty of seating in the morning to get some work done and the atmosphere is very relaxed. Breakfast sandwich was premade and heated up like a regular Starbucks sandwich with egg, ham and cheese on and English muffin. Almost gave soggy Jimmy Dean vibes. It was extremely sub par for $12. The tables, especially in any day that is moderately nice outside, are full of parked computers. One person to a table for two. If you actually want to sit and enjoy coffee, there's nowhere to sit across from your friends. The computer dead space is not contained to the group work tables, and asking people to move to another table is not well received. If SeaSmith had signage that people who want to sit and socialize could reference and staff could use as an aid to encourage computer workers to utilize the group tables, then probably I would drink a lot more coffee here. read more

I came here with a friend on a rainy day. The vibe was perfect! The interior is super cute and has minimalistic aesthetic. The tables were all full so we sat at the counter which was pretty open. The inside was quite and had some people coming and going, but not too busy. It would be a great spot to study! I got the cardamom latte with oat milk. What a stunning place in the heart of capitol hill that is DOG FRIENDLY! Of course make sure your pups are well behaved so other guests don't get affected, but I absolutely loved how friendly they were to my dog and even gave us treats! They have a selection of pastries but also freshly made to order sandwiches~ the sausage egg sandwich was absolutely delicious and the special autumn latte was rejuvenating. The open space lets you to soak the sun in and enjoy the atmosphere at the best. While i was there, one of the staff accidentally broke a glass cup and he was so kind to constantly check in on us if me and my pup were ok in case the glass shards got to us. This shop reminds me of a lot of trendy shops in Seattle; catches the eye but leaves something to be desired. The layout and design is wonderful with a modern Scandinavian design and has lots of seating, and I can't forget to mention the fantastic location with it being right along Broadway in Cap Hill. We ordered a matcha latte and espresso tonic to drink, the matcha was not strong/ very milky and the espresso tonic could've used more syrup or less tonic. We also ordered some cookies and an egg and ham sandwich, the cookies were tasty, but the sandwich had virtually no flavor/ sauce and the bread was stale. Best lavender latte I've ever had. Superfine bits of lavender on the top? Yup! Outlets galore and for those with immune challenges, they keep a door propped and the airflow is fantastic. This is a great spot for working away from home or chilling while you wait for the farmers market to open or for your spot at Glo's to be called. Very calm modern atmosphere inside with nice decor and plenty of plants and wood.
