Double burger was yummy! Not dry and very moist. Just a nice cheese and meat ratio. Would go back again

Sea Side Galley was recommended to me from the Cape Lookout staff for the best hush puppies. They were really good. I ordered the shrimp basket which was locally caught shrimp that was fried and came with the fries and hush puppies. You seat yourself at the restaurant if you are dining in or order at the counter for to go orders. There is a beautiful mural on the wall of Cape Lookout. My waitress was hustling as it was busy but very attentive too and made sure I had everything I needed and kept my iced tea filled. What more could I ask, good food and good service. Harkers Island doesn't have many dining options but this is a good choice if looking for somewhere to eat. They do offer more than seafood.

Cute place with cheap gift shop(cheezy) kind. The place was clean but the food was horrible. I ordered the fish which came hot but on the soggy side. My husband had the shrimp with was tough rubbery.

Great steak and cheese sub sandwich with fries. Cheeseburger and chicken tenders are really good also. Everything was good. It is worth checking out. Will definitely be back

Pancakes so fluffy they float. Syrup so sweet you'll almost pass out. Coffee so delicious you'll want to keep drinking it all day. This was the unexpected highlight of a last minute trip to Harker's Island to purchase a collection of antique vacuum cleaners. If I return, it will be to eat here again. I didn't stay for lunch, but they said their special was going to be pink fish pasta. It smelled interesting and looked very pink!

Seafood Trio w/catfish, scallops, and local shrimp.

With seafood, fresh makes all the difference, and at Sea Side, that difference is quite noticeable. I had the seafood trio with Catfish, Scallops, and (local) shrimp. My sister had the trout. All of it was fantastic; not too greasy. My fish was seasoned properly and their house sauces complimented everything very well. The service was nice, also. Our server had a "aunty" feel to her, and she had no issue juggling tables, take out orders, and new customers. After my dinner, I wanted to try something sweet, so I opted for the lemon pie, which, by the way, was completely scratch and light and fluffy. The restaurant doesn't look like much from the outside, but it doesn't have to. The food speaks for itself. I will be coming back!

Our server was so so sweet from the moment she introduced herself to the time we left, so 10/10 to her for her service! (Sorry, can't recall her name) Food came out pretty quickly, but to me the flavors were underwhelming. I had the seafood bisque and fried shrimp platter with seasonal veggies and yams. The seafood bisque was soooo delicious but I wasn't impressed because I didn't get one shrimp nor scallop in my cup, though the description said they were in there. The batter on the fried shrimp had too much of a beer/wheat-y taste for me but the shrimp were a nice size and held the batter well. The yams were my fave. One thing I was sad about is that this place doesn't do anything raw. Being so close to water, all I wanted was some yummy raw oysters, but a friend got them "lightly" steamed and said they were acceptable.

The building was once Owen's Grocery store and is now a casual restaurant. They serve sandwiches and salads for lunch, but the dinner menu is closer to fine dining. I highly recommend making reservations if you are going for dinner, as it is a very popular place, even in the off-season. Reservations are not taken for the Sunday brunch, so I made sure to get there early to be first in line. On my recent visits, the restaurant was decorated for the holidays, so that was fun. It is small inside, but in warmer weather, there are outside tables. Alex took care of me at dinner. He was very welcoming, friendly, and could answer all my questions. He was very attentive and made sure my iced tea was always full. I went with the special for the night. I ordered the ribeye special without realizing it was 20 ounces. Thankfully, my appetite was good that night. It came with brussels sprouts and mashed potatoes. I did get dessert too, and that was a chocolate peanut butter pie. That took me two days to finish. At brunch, my waitress was friendly and went over all the specials. I had a green apple mocktail, the #18 poached and stacked. I did the mini sweet potato biscuits as well so it was a lot of food. Alex, from dinner, saw me and asked me about my trip, so it was nice to see him again, and I thought it was nice that he remembered my plans. I will be dining here at least once on future trips to Beaufort, NC.

Aqua announces itself quietly, and even our brief misstep on arrival felt intentional an elegant sign gently redirecting us around back, where we later realized there's a convenient entrance directly across from the parking lot. A small discovery we tucked away for our next visit. From the moment we stepped inside, the hospitality set the tone. The host greeted us with genuine enthusiasm and an ease that made it clear he knew exactly why we were there. His warmth felt celebratory without being performative, just right. We were led to our table and introduced to Iesha, whose presence defined the evening. Iesha guided us through the menu with confidence and care, highlighting a thoughtful anniversary tradition: a complimentary glass of champagne or crème brûlée. We happily chose both. She struck that elusive balance of attentiveness and restraint present when needed, graciously invisible when not allowing the evening to unfold at its own pace. Our table sampled a range of the menu. The rare curry-seared local tuna arrived with curry riced cauliflower and traditional accompaniments unexpected in flavor but satisfying nonetheless. The The special for that evening, was rich and comforting. Even the simplest order, the kids' shrimp and fries was met with enthusiasm from our youngest diner, always a good sign.
