Terrible customer service. Sales doesn't know Sears products and management lies! Customer service at large big box stores surpass buying from this local Sears in Steamboat Springs Colorado! I wanted this to work, I wanted to use the local store and not have to drive 2.5 hours to Home Depot. Well, the drive might have been both easier and faster. I ordered two appliances on November 7th, and the estimated delivery date was the 25th. Fine, it's not Amazon. I received an email on the 25th stating that my items were ready for pick up. As we live 45 minutes outside of town, I called to confirm the email since it looked auto generated and I didn't trust it.....and no, the items were not in town and they had to idea when they would arrive. Yes this is a mountain town and snow is part of life, but why do all the other deliveries get to town and NOT sears?? A week later I called to check the status, and was told the truck was being unloaded at that moment and my items were on the truck. Back to town we go....to find out that no, only one of the two items was actually there. Yet another week, and we are making a trip to town for several things. I receive the FIRST call in this entire scenario from the store, the associate basically said "Well, is your order cancelled or are you picking this up?" Terrible communication. Terrible customer service. Lots of excuses. We will not be using Sears again, there's better places run by people who actually care!! read more

I have had several experiences in this store as we upgrade our condo, and every one has been excellent. "Alex" and/or "Jim" always greet us with a smile, have been really helpful in making decisions and I never feel pressured. Will definitely use this store again read more

Alex saved the day! We had issues with a new washing machine that was purchased online for an in store pickup. After spending over two hours on the phone with Sear's corporate customer service being transferred from department to department without anyone actually listening to the issue or what I was requesting, I went in and spoke with Alex who took care of the problem and had us set up for delivery of a new washer in no time. This is a catalog store which means all appliances, unless they're marked clearance, are not in stock. You have to order it then wait for delivery. Management is pretty ignorant of televisions. The female owner is completely rude and would never go out of her way to help you. Unfortunately, like everything else in town, it's all we have. read more

We had an absolutely horrible experience with this store. The manager is rude and antagonistic. She should be fired. They screwed up our order and it was 2 months late. Held up our remodel project. I would never recommend buying anything from this store-ever! Awful! read more

Unfortunately this is one of those situations where this is pretty much your only option in town so you have to deal with unhelpful, rude people. I must have spoke with 5 different people...was told I would get call backs and never did on atleast 5 different days...had to call back each time. I also receive inconsistent information each time...basically do your own research...and expect extremely poor customer service. IF you have some time...go through home depot in Beaver Creek. The pricing was better, they were offering FREE delievery and removal of old appliances and they could deliver within a few days. The problem I had, was they were out of pretty much all of the appliance I was needing so I was forced to use Steamboat Sears bc I couldnt wait until they got more stock in the store. read more

i have visited the store 3 days in a row, attempting to get a call from the installer to measure out the available space for ordering a new range. never got a call back. my simple request was dismissed, forgotten, ignored by the uncaring "sales people". read more
