Absolutely no respect for the time of their clients. I scheduled a repair appointment for the 1pm to 5pm window, only to be informed that I'd missed my appointment because the technician came by at 10:20 AM, when no one was home, which is why the appointment was not scheduled for the morning. Getting ahold of a flesh-and-blood person is impossible. When customer service inevitably responds to this by giving me a number to call, that number will also be an AI agent who runs me in circles and does not help me. EDIT: Called it. The number their customer service suggested I call goes right back to the same bot. They don't care about their customers. read more

The initial charge was $119 service trip.They didn't find anything wrong with my heating element but wanted to replaced it anyway. The flat rate was $345 to replace a $20 sensor, that's two screws on the back wall of my oven. It was a 200% markup on the part. The sensor cost $20. They was charging $61 dollars for the same sensor. Lesson learned! read more

The diagnostic fee was $119+ tax, all forms stated this would be credited back with repairs are completed. The part needed cost $500+ if purchased through them. I could purchase separately for $260. I was told they would still install but the diagnostic fee would not be applied to the repair and the installation would be $400+. There is no way to contact a service representative only AI. It takes an "act of Congress" to get out of the automated system loop. The scheduling is horrible with very few operators for repair. All of Houston and I'm two weeks into waiting for a repair for my washing machine! No call, no update on the arrival of an expected repairman on a Friday. Lost a day of wages waiting, only to learn after 2 hours of fishing information from terrible customer service providers that our case had been "diagnosed and closed." Really? How's that when no one even show with ordered parts for the repair? [By the way, this is the second time that our case has been closed in their system.] Good luck with the escalation process for problem solving. "Fay," the customer service agent assigned was so rude I almost thought I was being "Punk'd"! She offered a scripted apology and abruptly disconnected herself from the call. My complaint fell on the sympathetic ears of an agent named "Felicity" who guided me through a rescheduling. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this warranty service contract program. Do your research and look into the wait time for service. It was really disappointing to see that "the system" would lie about a repair that was never done. Between the premiums, $100 deductible, lost wages for 2 days (diagnosis and expected repair day), and laundromat expenses, I could have purchased a new washing machine! read more

This is the worst service center we have yet to deal with. They have switched to a non-human service and despite the problem, you cannot speak with anyone other than a computer bot. Last week our freezer went out we called and they sent somebody who ordered the parts necessary for the repair. The person showed up on Friday did the repair and by Sunday the freezer was no longer working at all. We scheduled another appointment for Monday. The technician came out, told us that the first repair person did the repair correctly, but managed to poke numerous holes in our unit. Consequently we lost all the food in our freezer. Two hours after the second repairman left the freezer started leaking water on to the floor and we have been on unable to book a 3rd repair as the computer, bot now cannot find any evidence that we have a contract. Avoid this repair service at all costs. They are terrible. read more

The request for rating the technician is different than rating the service. Technician was great, know his stuff and how to fix it. Dealing with Sears home services however was a complete nightmare. Their AI automated system is horrible. I had three appointments canceled automatically because the system didn't show that I had received the parts. I had them at home ready! No phone call, nobody to confirm and no way to call anyone. Finally, I found a way to chat with a live person. The AI sent me a text at midnight to tell me they were running late! thanks for waking me up! Would be much better with actual people to talk to. read more

We have had a warranty on our appliances for years. Our kenmore refrigerator door controls stopped working in january. Tech came out, charged us $100 to tell us they needed to order the part. more than 2 months later we've been told many stories - part is on order, the part can't be ordered, and this week we were told they shipped the part in January. A picture from FEDEX shows a box at a house in Channelview, about 45 minutes from here. We have been calling every few days, and the customer service is useless. At this point - I have no faith that they will live up to the service contract we paid for. Disappointed doesn't sum it up. read more

This is perhaps the worst service I have ever purchased. First, you cannot, under any circumstance, deal with a live agent. It is only BOT's and they do not give you options that answer your question. The same can be said for the website - only offers you specific topics. We had a repairman out yesterday and he said "we likely cannot find parts for your dishwasher, but if we can, it could take months". My wife then said we would like it to be replaced per our warranty. The repairment filled out the paper work saying the issue was closed and now we cannot get ahold of Sears to work this out. You only have an option of scheduling again. $100 for the first guy to tell me its broke (already knew that) and $100 again for another is not a wise use of time or money. Stay away from this company it is a scam and they did not repair my product and they said they did and charged me. I had to order a new dishwasher and get another plumber to come install. I called to cancel the second time and then was told it has auto renewed even through I had called before and they never said anything about it. The man on the phone was so rude and seemed desperate that I could not cancel. While I had not expected an expensive estimate relative to a new dryer purchase, this had more to do with Sear Home Repairs than the service rep. Why would I spend an estimate that totaled $534 plus tax vs, buying new dryer for $749 plus tax? The repair fee estimate was outlandished when compared to a new purchase with a warranty. Sears seems to be pricing themselves out of business by driving customers to purchase new rather than repair. read more
