I have a contract for 3 appliances. Have had trouble with my refrigerator for 4 months. Eleven visits and it's still not working right. They keep telling me I'm eligible for a replacement, but it keeps getting overruled by the repairs supervisor. Don't ever sign up for a maintenance contract through Sears. They never live up to their commitments. When I called for my eleventh visit, they tried to sell me a whole home warranty. You've got to be kidding. You can't even repair a refrigerator and you want to insure my home. I will never renew my contract and never deal with Sears again. It's no wonder the stores are out of business. They use A&E Factory service as their contractor. read more

The "EXpert" looked at my refrigarator, open a back side , and said that one of the copressors leaking, so it can not be repaired, and the refrigarator should be thrown away. It took 5 minuts. After that he charged me $105. I was trying to argue about leaking because I did not see any traces of leaking, but it was useless. Well, the refrigarator 3 years old, Samsung, paid $3,500. I invited another spesialist, who easilly found a leak in a coil pipe between copper and aluminum joint, so it took 15 minuts to fix it. No leak in compressor at all. The refrigarator is still working well. Never ever use Sears service. read more

I was assigned to Sears Appliance Repair by American Home Shield on 9/17/2023 they set up an appointment, sent numerous reminders about the appointment via text and email. Gave me a time frame of 8 am to 5:50 pm on 9/19/2023. At 6pm the technician called and said someone just dropped the call to his appointment book and it would take him an hour and thirty minutes to get to my house, could he reschedule me to 9/21 asked what the problem was. I told him it was the broiler element of my oven. He said he would put an order in to pick up the part so he could fix it on the spot. Again I received numerous reminders via text and email about the appointment on 9/21 saying they would be here between 8am and 5 pm. Waited again all day and no one showed up. You can not get a human on the Phone. I called American home shield and the woman on the phone said oh so sorry! Thank but not helpful! She reassigned my service call to another Appliance repair! First they sent several emails to confirm my appointment that stated "preventive maintenance" even though I scheduled a repair clearly. "No worries sir we have you down for a repair service, just disregard" then I would get another email starting the same thing. Then they sent a washer and dryer tech out to repair my refrigerator repair call "I know nothing about them things". Then a actual tech came out and told me what I already knew that I need a compressor. The tech ordered the parts and proceeded to tell me that the install would be over a month away. Then the tech called and sat on the phone for over twenty minutes that is only for repair techs, that person stated they could do it in three weeks. Which if I did not have a warranted part and service that cost about $1000, I could have it repaired in two days by a local private party. They are also replacing it with the same compressor that Kenmore and LG know are bad. This pissed me off, I know third world problems. Went out spent $200 on a garage refrigerator so the five of us do not have to live out of coolers. Now they are having a problem finding a LG part that is less then fifteen dollars and can be found at many of my towns appliance repair stores. But they can't find it in Kenmore parts world!!!! This has been a horrible experience. Our dishwasher was not going through the full cycle. The Sears tech replaced a part and also sold us the home warranty plan on Wednesday. Once he left the dishwasher would not work at all. We have called the phone numbers for customer service several times a day (today being Saturday). Their entire system has been down and cannot look us up. Each call we make we either receive a recording with instructions for us to call back or a customer service person tell us to call back in 3 hours. One time a rep. manually took our information down and said we would receive a call within 24 hours but we never did. We are considering contacting our credit card company as Sears is not providing any assistance to resolve the issue. read more

I am very disappointed in the appliance service. They did send out someone named Carlos who proved incompetent and argued that the refrigerator was working fine when the box could not cool below 50 degrees. One has to wait for hours on the telephone and never get the overflow number to get some one to solve the problem. If I could give 0 stars, I would. I was charged $89.00 and nothing was done because the technician could not find the serial number on my dryer. I contacted the Sears salesperson who sold me the dryer and he gave me the numbers. I rescheduled for repair and they would not come because they need to see the number on the machine. My review is low. The repairman was very nice and did a great job. Time will tell if the repair was successful; however, Sears kept me waiting 2 1/2 weeks to complete repair. Once I had the repair part in hand, it took Sears another 7 days to get a repairman to my home. The customer service reps barely speak English and are probably in some distant country, without any knowledge of where the repair man is working or located at. When I called these service reps I wanted to get the repairman back to my home because he had only departed 15 minutes, and these service reps were useless. Never again. Called because sears was a trusted name and was very disappointed in the service and customer relations. Ice maker problem on kitchen aid refrigerator. Was slow making ice. Mechanic did not seem to be familiar with kitchen aid and spent most of his hour here on the phone i assume with someone helping him through the check. He quoted me over 600$ to replace two sensors in the ice bin. Also said the slow ice production was common on these refrigerators. Paid him 104$ and after he left the machine stopped making ice completely. My complaints fell on deaf ears. read more

Had Sears do the annual checkup on washer and dryer before my service contract was up. And then I sold them and replaced with Samsung...will never buy anything from Sears again. Worst customer service ever...took 6 months and the help of the State of Florida to get there top of the line dishwasher fixed and money to repair the floors which where ruined. I have had NOTHING but grief with Sears Riding mower in 2004 by 2006 Transmission skipping would not do a thing because no extended warranty only had 42 hours of use. The salesman wanted to know how we knew. We had to tell him it had a gauge that recorded hours of use. Smart fellow selling lawn mowers. Now a French door refrigerator with bottom freezer ice maker. GUESS WHAT that stopped making ice after 16 months $1500.00 and it craps out. They want to charge to fix because no extended warranty. Sears wants to know why they are going out of business. Well probably because they sell lousy stuff. Bought a new stove back in 2001 and almost burned house down because they forgot to convert natural gas to propane. Why I go there is insane. I will NEVER EVER buy anything from sears and I have told anyone who will listen NEVER GO TO SEARS. They don't give a dam what they sell you, all they want is your money.
