I was dealing with Julia Venesile, daughter of Jon as they were recruiting me for a position. She was doing OK and then Dad joined the conversation. Never met him in person- probably a really good thing at this point. I do not believe he was professional at all. Can't believe he is actually the President. Jon Venesile was yelling at me on the phone as he didn't think I showed the appropriate amount of enthusiasm over a job offer. After more yelling I hung up on him. Got the whole, did you hang up on me- yes I did. Red flags going up all over the place according to him. After I said I won't be yelled at he said "you are taking things out of context." I told him my dog was at home dying and I wasn't in a great mood. His response "I didn't know that." Nor did you bother to ask. I felt it was all about them getting a commission using high-pressure sales techniques. He didn't know me and didn't care to learn anything about me. Once I accepted the job, they pulled a fast one and asked for a docusign on an I-9 Form. Advise you just forego this process- you don't have to sign his form, the company will provide you one. . Also included a statement that if I didn't report to the job then I owed them the commission. Good luck with that one. I have a text message that was sent prior that said there would be no contractual arrangement between me and Search Masters. If Search Masters of Cleveland calls, don't answer and I advise you to block their number. read more

If you are seriously seekng gainful employment contract Search Masters. This recruitment agency has in my opinion seriously raised the bar in recruitment services. They work tirelessly with both perspective employers and employees to address their short and long term needs. In doing so Search Masters are better equipped to find the best qualified canidates seeking the right opportunities with the most compatibility in stable work environments. Personally I have been working with Jake Bailey (project manager in Independence, Ohio) for about 2 years and I must say it had been an absolute pleasure working with him. Working with him has been awesome. He has been nothing less than transparent with me with regards to perspective employment opportunities. He didn't try to persuade me to consider opportunities that were not suitable for my long term career objectives. Instead he waited for the right opportunities to come along. When they did he reached out to the employers as well as myself. He set up a time for us to formally meet and interview at Search Masters. During my last interview the initial chemistry was so good between the employer and myself before I could exit the parking lot I received a call from Jake letting me know that the employer would like for me to tour their facility (which I did). After which Search Masters negotiated a financially satisfying directnhire position in my behalf with amazing benifits. The owner of Search Masters (Jon Venesile) is an absolute scumbag. I challenge anyone reading this review to google search this man and you will find literally hundreds of reviews reiterating the same thing I am. He is worse than a used car salesman and actually put me down and made me feel like a criminal for not sending out a 2nd "thank you" email to the company after a 2nd interview. He verbally berated me for easily 10 minutes and when I finally started standing up for myself and telling him not to talk to me like that, he acted like I was being unreasonable and ended the call. I would never use this company again, and will make it a personal vendetta of mine to make sure no one I know uses them either. He is very aggressive, loud, condescending, and plain rude. The company is doing well though, oddly, so I'll give them that, but Jon himself should be ashamed of how he acts. read more

Worst used car sales people EVER! Got a call about a job offer. Drove to their facility, only to find it wasn't available, and they FORGOT the name of the company I was interviewing for. Then they tried to push me into an interview with a company 1.5 hrs away, with the stipulation that the pay was EXACTLY what I was looking for. Interviewed with a great company. Then they tried to act like I needed to sign papers BEFORE they'd get the deal. They tried to give FAKE information 'from the company' hiring people that I already TOLD THEM I KNEW WAS FAKE. I received a voicemail from a recruiter at Search Masters letting me know I have a great background for a job he was looking to fill. I called him back twice and left him voicemails each time but he never responded. I also sent him an email, which again he never responded to. I then called the main number at Search Masters and explained to the person that answered what was going on. I was just sent back to the same recruiter's voicemail. I also sent an online request through Search Master's website. I never once received a response. I work in recruiting. When I candidate followed back up with me about a job that I was reaching out to him/her about, I would always call back. That tells me their method is moving on if a candidate doesn't pick up the phone on the first attempt and moving onto the next person. read more

Recently I've applied for a Human Resources position with Search Masters. I didn't receive a response after submitting a resume. After communicating with recruiter Autumn we scheduled an appointment on Saturday May 26, 2018 to meet and discuss the details of the position. She stood me up without a phone call or text. After waiting 15 minutes after the scheduled time I reached out via text inquiring about her whereabouts she stated she had me scheduled for the following Saturday. Prior to the scheduling she made a joke about leaving early on Friday May 25, 2018 for a golfing event so Friday wouldn't work. She clearly stated however, I will meet with you this Saturday we agreed. I was discriminated against by Autumn and I'm contacting my lawyer. read more

I was contacted by Search Masters and interviewed for 3 different jobs , I was told two weeks ago that one of them wanted to fly me in to do a face to face interview which I am ready to go to. My recruiter told me that it would be put off until after Thanksgiving. I have been sending him e-mails and calling with no answer. Finally yesterday I called them and after some more confusion from the receptionist was able to talk to the main manager. I asked him why my recruiter would not call me back and give me information on the interview? He told me that the recruiter would call me back by 7:00pm last night, I never heard from him. I have found Search Masters professionalism to be not very good. You don't leave your customer on hold and then act like they did something wrong by calling and asking for information. If this is their business model , it's not a very good one. I would think that my recruiter would want to place a degreed professional like myself so that they can get their cut.
