Sheree led the introduction course to explain the services they offer and how each person would be assigned a counselor to help them with their resumes, interviewing, networking and more! Their training seminars on LinkedIn, Networking, Interviewing,and Negotiating the Job Offer were very useful and informative. Kathy was my assigned counselor and she did a great job of helping me restructure my resume and run through some mock interview questions. Here's an actual email from a "Steve": "Looking for referrals someone you respect enough to let them see this opportunity. Please reply with interest" So I 'replied with interest' and my latest resume and get this response: "​I wish I could help you Peter, but I don't think I can." I have learned the hard way that if a recruiter such as Alliance contacts you and they obviously have not established your work experience as a fit then they are obviously phishing such as in my case. My resume can now be dissected to establish their own leads such as company locations and contacts and contracts. I have received multiple emails from them and they have never once submitted me to a job. Avoid any contact with them.

If you want to work for an agency with little to no…read moregrowth in your field, a small pay raise, harassment and no representation from management or HR, being placed in unsafe work conditions at the whim of the company because it's "corporate culture" then Actalent (from Aerotek) is the place for you. There is no representation when the company abuses you, there is barely enough that will do their job when it comes to reaching out to them for information. Management and HR will threaten you into silence and even hint to just 'get lost' if you report issues in the company. You can expect retaliation within the next week or two afterwards just as a reminder of your place, wage slave. It's like a club where you're not allowed to join and because you're not part of the 'in' crowd, they treat you with contempt. One of the worst companies I've worked with. No work reviews when requested, minimal pay increases, harassment from management and HR that they can barely hide their contempt at times, and slow to respond to inquiries like on PTO. If the company says you did something wrong, they will bring down the hammer and not even listen to your case, doesn't matter if the person was lying and can be proven. The trick they also use is by hiring "at-will" employment you can be let go whenever. So they intentionally will not tell you all the guidelines and proper procedures to follow, so when you make a mistake or end up crossing them, it gives them an excuse to fire you while not making it look less blatantly like harassment from retaliation or pettiness. And naturally they will happen to "forget" or not be around to answer those questions in the first place, because they have only disgust for the employee, especially one that asks questions regardless if your health is on the line.
