    Fish you can feed
    Robert V.

This was a fun place to take the kids, at very young and also at 2-4. Recommend getting a coin package to save on activities. The sloth was fun to feed, but it's a hot and humid enclosure for the sloths needs. The guided show was great, our kids got to see and hold different reptiles. We liked feeding the fish and then we did the foot station where the fish nibble your toes, it felt super cool! Feeding the rays was also recommended, they have a swimming thing but we haven't tried that. Can get very busy, recommend early and if you have a membership you can expedite entry.

My expectations were high. This place is Ok. It seems small and pricey for the experience that you get: we walked around the whole place in about 30 mins. Some staff were friendly and shared insight. I noticed some spots that needed to be cleaned up better. Just a lot of dust or dirt build up. Especially around some of the photo backgrounds. My wife complained the women's restroom was not kept up either. My kids had a good time. It was different. They got to see some animals. But they were hoping for a lot more actual fishes or sea creatures. The mixture of birds and land animals was unexpected. This place was just OK, a little dirty and unkept, small, and without enough fishes. I mean I don't think I saw one jellyfish.

It was our 2nd or 3rd time here. Parking was easy, you can park anywhere in the mall: outdoor, indoor covered. Bought the coins to feed the animals. The most fun was the sloths and wallabies. Will recommend and definitely come again .

Yup, you can feed the sloth and carry it.

Came in to check it out while visiting from out of town. An interesting concept by having wild animals in a shopping area. It seems like the employees are pretty attentive to the animals and they are doing ok. Their big money maker is the ability to physically interact with the animals in a closer setting. You can easily spend over $200 of you don't watch yourself, and if you do spend over $200, please be sure to take a lot of pictures. Overall it was a nice place. It's pretty much a zoo in a shopping complex...comes with a lot of "exotic" smells too. I really do want to give it 5 stars, but something in me didn't really sit well with the animals being in a confined space. Granted, most of the animals are underwater but the ones that aren't make me kind of wonder.

I took my son to SeaQuest for a class field trip, and we had a great time! Our guide was absolutely awesome--super engaging and knowledgeable. The feeding experience, while a bit pricey, was worth it for the first-time thrill of interacting with the animals. It was a fun and memorable outing that we'd probably do again, though not as a frequent activity--maybe once a year. Overall, a fantastic experience! My name is Bobbie and I Approve This Place.

Don't listen to the negative reviews, listen to me, a real first time customer that was there today and had such a great experience! We had our daughter's first birthday at seaquest Folsom this afternoon and safe to say this place was awesome! To start we worked with Ari to set up our daughter's first birthday party earlier this month. We chose the top package the ultimate plus birthday package and it was WELL worth it. We had a party of 22 and around 9 littles. We got our own private room for 2 hours plus, two private animal encounters, 100 tokens for all day fun, and each kiddie got their own goodie bag! This package also included a $50 gift card for the birthday girl to spend at the end of the day! The facility was SO clean, the temperature inside was comfortable, smelt fine (like saltwater really), and all of the animals and fish were up, active, and eager for their snacks! We upgraded our animal encounter to see Suzy and Sydney the sloths privately which was such a dream! We also were able to hand feed the otters with our tokens, and meet a very friendly snake! This is a perfect venue for a kids party! The employees are so nice and helpful and really catered to us the entire day which is what you want when you have a party! Arianna was so great with us the entire time and made sure we were happy and had everything we wanted and needed to make the experience wonderful! The location in the Palladio is also great! It was nice to be able to walk over to Starbucks and do a little shopping when we were all finished with our day! Safe to say if you want to have a fun special time this was it for us for our daughters party!

I was hesitant to go because of all the media about poor conditions for the animals. I found the aquatic tanks all clean and well cared for. There was even someone in scuba gear cleaning the moral eel tank (brave). The land animals seemed fine except the enclosures were very small and exposed. The animals are on the ground so you can only see the tops of them anyway. I feed the bunny. Everything is an upsale. So if you don't pay for the extras all you see is the tops of the animals. Although they don't seem unhealthy; it is not a natural environment so the land reptiles and animals do seem sad and it is stinky (probably due to the otters). The staff was friendly and seemed to genuinely care for their animals. They are primarily there to take the money for all the upselling. The place is also dirty for us human guests. Tiny bits of dried shrimp in every corner, really thick dust on the party room balloons. It is as if they don't hire janitorial staff and don't own a vacuum cleaner. I'm glad I went but I won't go back.

I'm not sure what makes SeaQuest so popular, but I guess it's because this place attracts kids, and parents know their kids will love it. My almost 2 year old sure did. That was almost enough to make it worth the one hour wait on a Saturday at around noon. When we got there, there was a decent line from the entrance, but don't freak out. The process was easy. SeaQuest is located in kind of like a shopping outlet, so once we scanned the code and got on the waitlist, we walked around and window shopped. You will get a link to let you know what number you are in line. They will send you a text once it is your turn to go in. Make sure to keep checking because once you get the text, you will need to be there right away. So if it says you are 1st in line, start heading over. Now, onto SeaQuest itself. I can't be the only one who thinks this whole paying for tokens to feed the animals is ridiculous, right? I mean, I understand if it was 25 cents a token, but $2 a token just to throw some dried maggots in the tank...I don't know. I should be getting paid to feed the animals. lol. Of course, we didn't do it. Anyway....SeaQuest is fairly small, but has enough attractions for kids and adults. AND, how can you not enjoy seeing your kids just having fun. My son loved the fishes and water so those areas were where we mostly stayed at. There was hardly any staff supervision, which can be a concern. There are areas where I feel there should be someone there for safety purposes of guests and animals. Overall, we had a good time and will probably bring my son back in a few years. Unless you have kids, SeaQuest is more of a one-time visit thing for me since there's really not much to it.

    The cutest greeter ever!

I came here to check this place out for my grandbabies birthday party in June for my daughter. I am super impressed. They are either under new management or new direction or new ownership. I don't know but whoever is doing it is doing a great job! It cost me $14.99 to get in and enjoy it! I checked out the party area and it would've been nothing if that's all I wanted to do, but I really wanted to get in there and walk around and enjoy it, and I did! They don't just have sea life they have all sorts of animals in here. Really great people work here and I'd like to give a huge shout out to Don! I was on my out explaining to him what I was doing there and told him I really wanted to pet the stingray but I was terrified because of what happened to Steve Irwin. He took me over there and helped me pet big mama! I will never forget this interaction and I am super excited about bringing my kids back here in June! FYI No more feeding tokens. You can pay a small flat fee for experiences. But petting the sting rays was free!!! Thanks again Don! You made my day!

Have not been here since it open years ago. Took my four-year-old gson one afternoon. Highly recommend for 4-12 yo kids. I was impressed with the growth and changes from my first visit. No smells, very clean with washing stations in every room. A good variety of animals--otters, tortoises, snakes, rays, sharks, fish, anemones, etc.. Though I really hate to view caged animals, there appeared to be lots of contact with the animals by the caretakers. Guests were invited to touch and handle some of the specimens (for an additional price, sometimes). The animals seemed engaged and active--except the pythons--well, what do pythons DO, anyway? There was a ray in the large display pool that was clearly attached to the carer, huddling next to her leg as she gently stroked its back. For an additional cost, appropriate food was available so you could feed the animals. My gson engaged a couple of young men caretakers at the gecko display. He wanted more information about king cobras and pythons and boa constrictors. The man was a good listener and explained the size, behavior and habitat of these fascinating vertebrates in language that my gson could understand. Of course, it is hard to convince a stubborn preschooler that facts are facts, but the young man was kind. Yes, admission is costly. It seemed that you could purchase a seasonal pass which would save you money, but you would have to visit at least three times to be ahead. There is also a huge gift shop that you MUST pass through on entry and departure. Designed to attract your youngsters! Be prepared to offer something else or to purchase ONE thing, cuz there is a lot of bright, shiny stuff in here! They also have a penny machine. I am always a sucker for a penny machine! Even my daughter remarked on seeing the newly minted penny token, "You always got us the penny tokens, Mom!"

Wonderful place. Totally exceeded our expectations. The experiences feeding the animals and birds are wonderful. Staff is friendly and passionate about the things they do. We went on a weekday because we have seen crazy lines on weekends and didn't want to deal with that. We were able to finish the whole place in ~4 hours. It's really amazing to see birds, sea life and other creatures so close right here jn Folsom.

Pooooor Dirty animal cages- u can't even see the otter through the filthy glass-
    Becca H.

wow The customer NO- service.... the lack of cleaning animal cages- the run down- non attempt to make the animals clean- "animal whispers" Should hear the cages need to be kept up daily! The air smells terrible! The cost is outrageous and then to see it so sadly kept is awful. If you used the promo code "Reptile Army" and got free tickets they will not honor it- and it's only as good as 25% off ! but they haven't been loosing any money- since it was packed and unkept- they just are bad at being animal keepers. The generous 3 stars are for animal variety and the 3 hand washing stations we found.

A seating area where you supposedly can't have your legs on.

My kid and I went here about 3 weeks ago. He's into animals and fish so we thought this place would be fun. We arrived there with a few people in line ahead of us. With only a few in line, it took forever to get checked in. There was like one person at the register and they walked away while people were still in line. We pretty much stood in line longer than it took us to walk through the exhibit and we walked around it twice. For a small place they actually had some good and different exhibits. They had a little bit of everything. From mammals to fish. My kid enjoyed it and was excited to look at all the stuff. He even got to touch a stingray. My kid was sitting in an area by some fish tanks. Well there was one employee there that said he couldn't have his feet or legs on that area however, he said people can sit there. He said he didn't know why and didn't understand the rule. I didn't understand it either. My kid is about 3 feet tall and weighs under 30 pounds. His whole body weighs less than a normal person leg. My kid wasn't running or standing on the seating area. He was sitting with his feet hanging over the edge. Seems to me that this particular employee was making up his own rules. Other than the slow check in and the one weird employee, the place was decent. We bought a couple things from the gift shop and left. We'll probably go back sometime in the future.

Koi & catfish were much bigger than the ducks

Natacha was great. She was referred by a mutual friend , we got the large zoo which included goat/sheep/and what we thought was mini pig. The pig was Gemma who is advertised as the "kissing pig" , she was totally fine (definitely not mini) but my issue was with the girl assisting . She was the "gatekeeper" while Natacha did pony rides. This may needed to have changed as the girl allowing kids in to the "petting zoo" was an issue. Not friendly, very abrupt with the kids, I understand being a rule follower but she wasn't professional with asking the guests to abide by them. I went in with my daughter to pet the animals and literally as we approached Gemma she blurted out "don't touch her face, talk to her before touching her, don't scare her " , I am pretty respectful of animals and educate my kids but this was ridiculous .. my 4 year old literally stopped walking towards the pig and said "mom I don't want to hurt the pig" . My daughter wasn't even doing anything wrong and to jump at her was excessive. Guidance and education go a long way but to be snappy and scare kids to not pet animals at a petting zoo and for the price I paid! Honestly ruined the experience for me as she did. It get any friendlier or professional. The other parents didn't complain but also noticed the "unfriendly" vibe she gave .Thank goodness we paid extra for pony rides as this was the only real highlight of the party. Natacha was great making sure we got a family photo and let my son ( the bday boy) ride for long times when no other kid was in line. I do wish the petting area was bigger . With the assistant 4 animals and an adult with each kid ( 91 adult per kid ) in the pen it was very tight fitting. No two adults and kids could be in there at once . Overall cute idea. Glad I had a bounce house and numerous other activities for the kids as this wouldn't have been enough.
