I really loved this place so much - there were a few things that need some improvement but the staff was very conscientious, friendly and hard working so this review is really a 4.5 I'm a newlywed - married two weeks before my birthday - and my husband surprised me with a trip to Boston. He's not a seasoned travel planner and I was very impressed that he found this spot. Upon hearing that we were newleyweds, they upgraded us to the corner penthouse suite which was GORGEOUS. The valet was very quick with our luggage. The room was very clean, felt new and modern with a very high level of amenities and accommodations (there's a tv in the bathroom mirror - three tv's in this hotel room plus nice couches, amenities are Gilchrest & Soames). There's a very clean home feel. The upgrade was very welcome, but during the day when we were out, someone went in and left us these gorgeous little desserts on a plate which had "congratulations" written in chocolate. They also gave us a bottle of champagne. Neither of us arranged this and it was great. I also have to say that the bed is EXTREMELY comfortable, the corner views of the bay are breathtaking and the room was spacious. Room service is extremely quick. Also, my husband wasn't well and he called down - they let us check out two hours later for no additional fee. Very accommodating. FYI - the pool is fantastic and warm! Though about an hour into using it, it felt like they turned on the AC in the pool room and when we asked a passing hotel staff to turn it down he didn't really know how so we had to leave. So what are the points that need improvement /minor cons: -For such a lux hotel, the towels are really poor quality, upgrade the towels! -Location - we didn't realize how far away this place was from the museums, but being near the water made up for that (and you can't really improve that). The location also limited restaurants in the area -There are certain lag times (after breakfast and between lunch) at which it's hard to find food in the hotel despite the restaurant. Buffet closes on the dot and though there was food left out, we showed up 1 min after it closed and were declined to just grab something -the concierge is somewhat helpful, but using google proved to be more accurate and successful for us (VERY friendly though) - I felt like the hotel had to push the companies that they are affiliated with rather than the best tourist attractions read more

This review is for the conference facilities. I was recently here for a customer show, and was incredibly impressed by the Seaport Boston Hotel. First off, the location is fantastic, being that it's literally right next to the water. There are a few restaurants in the area if you need to just get out of the hotel...am important thing for those frequent business travelers! You can only handle so much confinement and hotel food. Second, the facility itself was beautiful. Clean carpets, no weird smell, bathrooms were kept tidy. You can tell this place has it together. The setup in each of the rooms was very professional. They had a bunch of round tables and comfortable chairs, good quality AV equipment and you didn't hear the noise in the room next to you. Third, they had really good conference food! I know it's hard to cook in mass quantity while still achieving good quality, but the Seaport Boston Hotel delivered. I would certainly recommend this hotel if you are looking for a place to hold a business meeting or conference. The rooms were reasonably priced and the facilities were spacious and professional. The only downside was that the conference rooms were a pretty far walk from one room to the other. read more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!! I stayed there for 2 nights. All the people I met at the hotel were very nice and friendly, but the last night I didn't officially checked out in the morning, I was planning to do that at noon. I thought it would be fine even if they decide to charge me for an additional night since they had 2 credit cards information. But what they did instead is that they threw my cloth in an open suitcase that I had on the floor even the wet one. From the bathroom they dumped out everything except my electric toothbrush and decided to just take it. Then I was waiting in the lobby for them to give it back to me. Again all the people I spoke with were very positive, friendly and professional but the whole situation turned to be just a nightmare. read more

I had an amazing stay at The Seaport Hotel for a quick weekend getaway in January. Aaron at the front desk was incredibly hospitable and charming. He really made us feel welcome. The rooms are immaculate and tasteful, with excellent sound proofing. The beds are decently comfortable (softer side) but there is a pillow menu with a wide array to choose from. The pool and fitness center is vast and well kept. Parking was easy and affordable. Can't wait to come back. read more

This was a booking for a conference that a girlfriend and I were attending in late June. We had a room on the top floor (18th) and it was a double bed room with 2 beds. Our friends were also staying in a king bed room on the 9th floor as well. We found that check in was relatively easy, we came in around 9 pm on a Wednesday. There are multiple sets of doors and lobbies in this place-it was confusing to find which entrance and exit to use when going to different places around the building. This especially became an issue when trying to meet up with Uber drivers. The main lobby is on one side street, the side where most Uber drivers go is on another street (and another lobby level in the building as well). This is also the easiest access to the Convention Center via a 2 block or so walk over a footbridge. The OTHER door is the one that leads you to the bar area and the few food areas (by that I mean Dunkin Donuts and 7 Eleven). Our room was actually very comfortable. It had a lovely bathroom-one of the few hotels with waffle weave robes which I LOVE. There was an awesome huge shower with glass doors (problematic if more than one person wants to use the bathroom at once, though). Also the toilet, shower, and sink were all in the same area. I think it's way easier when the sink at least is separate from the other two so that people can get ready separately. It was nice that the hotel offered small toiletries other than shampoo and soap, like Q tips and a sewing kit. Not that we ended up needing it, but it was nice. Also the "his and hers" mirrors-a shaving mirror for him and a makeup mirror with lights for her, both with huge mag. There was a Keurig and a mini fridge (well hidden, which is nice) with complementary water bottles in one of the dressers. Just be sure to not grab the 4.00 Fiji water since that's not comped. The dresser also had USB ports in it for charging cables, which is nice because half the time I forget the little charging blocks for things. I really enjoyed the pillows which were plentiful and fluffy, and the linens were just as awesome as you would expect for an awesome hotel. The annoying part of this hotel was that I tried to order room service one night from the "All day/night" menu, and much to my surprise, there was not 24 hour service-it actually closed at midnight. False advertising much? This was also extra annoying when you add on the fact that everywhere else in the city was closed for food delivery and service at the same time. Evidently Boston doesn't believe in eating after midnight at all, not even drunk munchies? This was a nice place to stay while we were in town, but I doubt we will be back in town much in the foreseeable future. read more

What a lovely and clean hotel, and every single staff member was so kind and respectful, through and through! It's on the pricier side, but worth it because of the consistent customer service and convenient location (adjacent to the waterfront, many restaurants, and not far from shopping or Downtown/other major areas, and the highway). I used my credit card rewards to book the hotel for two nights, but my husband and I agreed we would pay to stay here again. While I was in line to check-in, one of the front desk attendants named Aaron was working with another couple, but he took the time to acknowledge my very pregnant belly and mouth "congratulations!" Because his colleague was available first, I made it a point to check out with him days later. Manager, take note: Aaron was super friendly, professional, funny, and the additional conversation outside of the logistics of our stay made our interaction that much more personal and enjoyable! The room was clean and the basic amenities were provided. We stayed in a room with a soft and pillow-like king size bed, and the pillows were so fluffy but sunk down a little. To be fair, while checking in, the front desk attendant (didn't get her name) recommended a pregnancy body pillow and a weighted blanket when I shared we were there for our "babymoon." My one complaint is that the walls are quite thin. There was evidently a family on one side of us, and we could actually clearly hear when/what the child was yelling or laughing with presumably his dad. It was only in the morning, at a reasonable time, so that wasn't a big deal. However, there was a very perturbed man yelling at someone around 1am. It was a one-sided conversation that we heard, but we couldn't figure out where it was coming from...upstairs? Outside? A vent? Otherwise, we would have called downstairs to see if that could be addressed because we were trying to sleep. Parking garage: $37/day to self-park. We went straight to park in the garage before checking in, and we exchanged our ticket during check-in for another that would allow us unlimited entrances and exits throughout our stay--in fact, until Midnight of our checkout day. I read that the valet garage parking would be $40/day. Either way, the garage parking was totally worth the convenience! My husband and I went to one of their restaurants, Aura, for breakfast on two occasions, and we had very professional and friendly service! I can tell the hotel must really drive home the importance of the customer service experience. The first day, instead of the buffet, my husband got a choose-your-own omelet, and I got the two-eggs breakfast. We both enjoyed our meals and were sufficiently full afterward. There is an automatic 18% tip tacked onto the bill for the server, and you can certainly charge it to your room, but you don't need to sign anything if paying by credit card. The second day, we had a different server and chose meals again over the buffet. My husband ordered orange juice and the Belgian waffle with bananas and caramel, and he started to feel some digestive discomfort early on during his meal. He said the orange juice tasted like it was made from concentrate and had a little odd sourness to it. Later, he said it could have been the bananas, but we will never know if it was his stomach sensitivity or something else. I had strawberry pancakes and an iced latte, and it was certainly satisfying. I asked for a to-go cup for the rest of my latte, and our kind waiter asked if I'd like him to make another one for me. I'd usually say yes, but I indicated I have to watch my caffeine intake because of my pregnancy. He and another waiter asked about my due date, and it turned out another waiter has a son who's turning 11 on my due date. I really liked the willingness of the staff to make conversation. I know that's not everyone's cup of tea, but I really appreciate those types of interactions most, and they still kept it professional. Speaking of personal touches, even the tv shows the name of the person who booked the room. When I called down for room service one night, they answered by addressing me by, "Miss [last name]," which was also a nice touch. The gentleman who took the order and also the one who delivered our order were just as kind and professional as any other staff we came across at the hotel, if not more. I'd say they were on par with our wait staff from Aura. The food we ordered came from the menu of the hotel's other restaurant, Tamo. We splurged to get the clam chowder, a burger, the four-cheese pizza, the bolognese, the Oreo cheesecake, and the deconstructed s-more. We were satisfied with every part of our meal, except for the bolognese. I took one bite and thought I was tasting the fork, but when my husband tasted it, he confirmed that it tasted "metallic," so we left that whole plate of bolognese alone. Overall, highly recommend! Love this hotel. It's very convenient to get here from Logan - just take the (free) Silver Line bus to the Seaport. It's comfortable and well appointed. The staff is very friendly and the amenities are very nice - Gilchrist & Soames toiletries, plush towels and robes, a Keurig coffee maker, lots of USB ports. And it's just around the corner from the ferry launch. My only complaint about a stay here is that it's always too short! read more

December is coming and if history repeats itself, the Seaport Hotel will be offering great deals. Best to follow them on twitter for the deals. This is a great hotel and the Tamo Bar features Lance Houston who is part of Boston's leading jazz band. The Seaport Hotel is a large hotel but gives off that Boutique feeling. Tucked away in the ever changing Seaport district, it is a 15 minute walk to faneuil hall. If you are on the go in the morning, stop by Sebastian's for a breakfast sandwich or crepe. If you want to talk to a guest and need a little privacy, there are all sorts of places within the hotel to hide. My favorite is the second floor overlooking Northern Avenue. When I am in the area I stop by for a coffee or drink. I always go by the front desk to pick up a WheresBoston magazine or Journal. The staff is always polite and I have always received a smile. read more

Allow me to precede this review with one important fact: I've stayed everywhere from $50/night fleabag motels, to $1,800/night waterfront resorts with spa packages included. For what we got here, the room rates are not even remotely justified. It would appear you're paying almost entirely for the fact that SOME rooms look out over the water, and the center of the city is MILDLY accessible from the seaport. Pros: Gorgeous lobby Magnificent views in some rooms Very friendly staff 24-hr convenience store nearby for things forgotten Comfy mattress Clean Decent restaurants in the area Now on to the less-than-stellar. My first and primary complaint here is that I've had far superior hotel experiences at a Sheraton in central Pennsylvania. Not exactly what I'd expect for a high-end hotel. While the linens on the beds are indeed comfortable, there isn't necessarily a "comforter" to speak of - merely a down-filled thin blanket with sheets on both the underside and topside to sort of "thicken it up." When we called to see if a comforter could be provided, all they had were some fleece blankets. And here I was imagining this lush cloud of white linens, but all we got was a scratchy orange blanket straight out of a Motel 6 and some white sheets hiding a little blankie. If you want to stay in your room and just rent a movie or peruse the TV for a bit of relaxation - good luck. No movies to order, no OnDemand, and only one movie channel (and HBO at that). They do have two little boxes of outdated DVDs you can borrow, but you also have to borrow the DVD player itself, and the selection is atrocious. Unless you really LOVE Country Strong. Then, you're in for a real treat. The last straw for me came when I thought "Hey, I know! I'll take a little nap! What a great idea!" So I made sure the privacy light was on our doorbell - an indication that one does not want to be bothered, and then I went to sleep. Now, it takes me at least 30 minutes just to START falling asleep, but sure enough, as my mind drifted off into that place of restful bliss, housekeeping comes a-knocking on my door. "No thank you!" I yelled, and tried to go back to sleep - no dice. Had I gotten out of bed then and there to resume my day, I may not have been as angered when the front desk also CALLED MY ROOM TO TELL ME MY PRIVACY LIGHT WAS ON! But alas... *sigh* And finally, there were always cabs waiting outside the hotel for ease of access to the city, but I wouldn't recommend making the walk on a daily basis. It's close, but not close enough that you could just pop in and out of your room all day. Cons: "Privacy" light means nothing Less-than-desirable linens No in-room entertainment to speak of (read: movies) Hotel bar overpriced (though service was lovely) Scratchy bath robes - as in, wear chaffing protectors If you don't pay for a great room, you don't get a great room Parking rates are OUTRAGEOUS even for Boston - park at Post Office Square (cheaper and closer to everything in the city) The verdict: stay somewhere more centrally located - it may cost an extra dollar, but will be far better than what you'll get at the Seaport surrounded by construction, concrete, and an endless sea of sidewalks/roads. If, however, you intend to spend very little time in your actual room, perhaps this is the place for you. Not really a destination for someone on a stay-cation looking to relax and let loose. read more

If I could give this hotel 10 stars, I would. We checked in at midnight and the person checking us in was the nicest person. We stayed for 3 nights. He talked to us about where we were going, gave us some recommendations, and upgraded our room! Whenever we saw him again, he was always happy to see us and would catch up with us about our day. The room was the perfect place to come back to after exploring the city and was right across the street from a bus stop. This made it super convenient to go wherever we wanted, even the airport or Amtrak station. We had breakfast and dinner one time each at the hotel's restaurant, and they both did not disappoint. We could also walk around at night and feel comfortable in the area the hotel was in. All the staff there was very nice and helped us with any questions we had. If you check in at night, you're definitely in good hands! read more

Very nice, very clean hotel room with all the modern fixin's. I don't normally spend this much on a hotel, but it was worth if for my first post-pandemic experience. I appreciated the fridge and the quality coffee/tea in the room. I didn't see any pillow library as mentioned in all the other reviews, which would have been nice because the standard pillows were quite floppy. Otherwise, very spacious and comfortable rooms. This hotel is doing all it can to get you to eat in its on-site restaurants, but just know that there are countless options within walking distance. Also, Trader Joe's! And beer gardens. We walked down the street less than a mile and took a nice sunset cruise. Good place to stay for people who like to walk around. It's less than 2 miles of walking to the city's best pizza, cannolli, beers, and museums. Seaport Boston: if you're reading this, in the future, if you'll include the $40 parking fee, then I'll stay here again. Otherwise, I can probably find a hotel as nice as this at a better value. read more

OMG! Where do I start? This beautiful, waterfront hotel surely wowed us. From check in, theough 6 days of stay for work, I continued to be wowed. They do NOT allow tipping. No doorman, no bellhop, no maid, no wait staff..NO TIPPING ALLOWED! They have bikes and helmets to borrow for free to guests, umbrellas in the rooms for guests to use free, free wifi throught the hotel (and it's pretty fast!). Great bathroom amenities, clean, well-appointed rooms. Comfy bed, great climate-controls that respond quickly to temp changes. Every single staff member we encountered was super friendly and helpful. We really wanted to tip sooo bad, but no one let us!! Hotel management here has done a fabulous job of training!! We could not have asked for a better experience. My hisband and I travel a bit for work and pleasure and have stayed in some seriously NICE hotels, and some not-so-nice places. Seaport ranks in the top 3 for sure! Sooooo glad we vhose to stay here. The rooms are lovely, they offer bathrobes and spare umbrellas to guard yourself against the crappy Boston weather, and even though the in-room dining I ordered tasted like something from my college cafeteria days, the staff are so gosh darn kind delivering it. Nice... The waterfront has come a long way but I still have a predisposition to this area of the city. But I was happy to have scored a 99/ night deal via travelzoo.com (highly recommned checking out this site once a week for stellar deals) so I figured why not. This hotel is clean, well designed and offers great accommodations. Honestly, the service we received while staying here this month was second to none... I was totally impressed and I have traveled all over the place for biznezz and stayed in some pretty swank digs. Hint, when checking in, ask for a corner room... they are much larger than a regular room... the room had a nice foyer, nice bath, flat screen, 2 decent robes, mini bar... And we had zero problems. Again.. clean, clean and clean. Such a good value and close enough to cab or drive anywhere else in town. read more

I haven't stayed at the hotel, but I was here last night as a volunteer for a charity gala. First off, it's pretty damn accessible. It's literally across the street from the silver line World Trade Center stop. Just make a right out of the T station and walk towards the water.. although, in that area, drivers don't believe in stopping for pedestrians, so try and wait or jump out of the way. On the whole, I think this place is very much on the lovely side as far as hotels go. There are bits that seem "too much".. IE the table in the lobby waiting area that has nine too many centerpieces.. but the decor is nice and everything is very clean/polished looking. The food at the event was great. I was able to sit at one of the tables during a mini break from volunteering and I had a chance to eat some of the appetizer and the entree. The appetizer was a salad that had red and gold (what!?!?!) beets in fig syrup. Sounds schmance, but it was mighty tasty. For my entree, I had the chicken with potato gnocchi and vegetable cannelloni served with a chianti sauce. The chicken was incredibly tender and the sauce was SO good. The potato gnocchi wasn't the best I've had, but it was a great complement to the chicken. The vegetarian plate had roasted portobello mushroom and baby spinach napolean with smoked mozzarella and french lentils in a roasted tomato oil. You can bet my veggie friends ate that right up. It looked amazing although it did look like an intense amount of lentils. Oh, and once everyone left the cocktail area on the mezzanine floor (before dinner), I nibbled on some bread and cheese. Seriously? They had THE BEST cheese I've ever tasted.. although I didn't ask what it was because we were busy working and nibbling at the same time. haha.. It was white if that helps. HAH The staff were very friendly.. even the coat check women asked us how the fundraiser was going. A lot of the staff were running (gracefully) this way and that to help the non-profit group out, so props to them. The waiters also made sure that us volunteers were taken care of and even when everyone had begun their dinner, they were nice about whipping up some extra appetizers for us late folk. All in all, I'd come back here for an event or suggest them as hosts for an event since both the staff and food were fantastic! read more

In other news the walls between the rooms might as well be made of fabric, you can hear EVERYTHING next door. Did I mention the staff is angry? And not that furniture matters... But it is very 1990 pine suburban decor. The bathtubs are the size of a soup bowl and as shallow as a sauce pan... do do doo... I think that covers it oh wait! If you aren't familiar with the geography of Boston, it should be noted that the Seaport district is a newer area undergoing aggressive construction without any of the character or attractions you may expect. It's a sterile, concrete-filled neighborhood in which no one lives, so there's not much going on. That said, if you have to be here, this hotel is probably your best choice. Just remodeled, the rooms and decor are beautifully modern, clean, and simple. The staff is really friendly. I would have given four stars, but when I called to request early check-in I joked with an employee named Kevin if I could get some fresh-baked cookies in my room for my arrival. We had a good laugh, but then once I got to the room, on my bed was a plate of delicious cookies. I doubt they'll make a habit of this, but Kevin's customer service deserves the extra star! read more

I stayed here for 4 nights on a business trip and loved it! It's located near a ton of restaurants and the silver line. It's also close to the airport so you can take a cab or ride the silver line from Logan to the hotel for free. The service is superb and the rooms are clean, new, and modern. I noticed there was a pillow menu in the room! Yes, a PILLOW MENU! You can choose from neck pillows to ones filled with buckwheat. I tried a few but the pillows in the room were my favorite. They were feathery and the bed was so comfy! I also loved the view of the water from the room. The bathroom was large, towels were thick and soft and the room even comes equipped with an umbrella in the closet. The room was expensive (~$300/night) but I was very happy with everything they had to offer. read more

The Seaport is a top-notch hotel down by the Boston convention center, my experience here was very positive. It's conveniently located near Logan International (~$12 cab, or the T - Silver Line that goes right to the hotel), and has many walking-distance restaurants and entertainment options (I'd recommend the Legal Test Kitchen). Another selling point here is a T station located right next to the Seaport, so you can hop on the silver or red line and get to the inner city quite easily, and cheaply. When I arrived, I was greeted with a really warm welcome at the front check-in desk, the young lady was most helpful. I really enjoyed the room amenities; free wifi internet, comfortable beds, great T.V. (true HD), convenient closet and ironing station to keep your business attire looking sharp, and high-quality shampoo, conditioner, soap, ect. I stayed in a Premier King room, it had a fantastic view of the Boston skyline. There is a hotel restaurant on the lobby floor that serves an excellent breakfast - you can put in an order to the kitchen, or just enjoy the breakfast bar that's loaded with hearty delicacies to get your day started right - I stuck with the spinach and feta quiche with cream cheese and smoked salmon cuts. The service here is also really great and the bill is added right to your room account. The bar looked pretty nice, too. This was a business trip for a convention during the week, so as expected, there were many professionals staying at the Seaport. However, if I really wanted to stay somewhere nice in Boston while vacationing, this would be an excellent choice. read more

And the saga is almost over. My car is back after going through the insurance and the chop shop. Upon receiving a nice personal call from the Hotel Manager - radio silence. No compensation for our troubles, no follow up on their procedures. Really a pity for such a beautiful hotel with some good staff... Unfortunately, for all the wonderful it is when everything is going well - they fall short when things don't go well, not a lot of grace under pressure. Hopefully they will learn from this experience and improve it in the event similar contingencies happen in the future with other guests. read more

So this review is for the use of the ballrooms, and not the actual hotel rooms......we came here for the much anticipated wedding of our friends Henry and Mel, and can I just say it was one of the most beautiful receptions and dinners I have been to, for a wedding or otherwise. A lot of that had to do with the hotel. The hotel was spotless, waitstaff attentive, bar WIDE open, and awesome food. We both went for the filet minion as our main course, which was served with giant shrimp. Delicious. There was a large amount of asparagus in both the salad and the dinner itself. I love asparagus, and the side effects it may have on ones body, but if this was an episode of Iron Chef, asparagus was clearly the secret ingredient. Overall: They try to come off as a nice hotel, but they're really not all that great. Poor Service: I asked for a late checkout and was told that the hotel doesn't do late checkouts when its full that night. Then when I went downstairs, the lady at the front desk was answering a call from a guest and said that she would be happy to allow that guest to check out late. When I pointed out that I was just told I couldn't, she didn't seem to care much. Oh, and I only wanted an extra 30 minutes (which I said on the phone in the first place). Slow Internet: They advertise free wifi, but it's slow as heck. Bad Housekeeping: There wasn't a bar of soap in my bathroom when I arrived. Late check in and they took our bags up to the room and hurried along the process so we could run over to the bar to get a food order in before the kitchen closed at 11 (on a Weds. night, so more than reasonable). At the restaurant we had the shishito peppers and split a lobster roll with fries - all excellent! My friend and I both agreed that the beds were very comfortable and the sheets in particular were heavenly - light, crisp and made for a great night's rest! In the morning we received a free copy of the WSJ (had a choice of that or USA Today) and we did the fast check out so we were able to walk right out. We stayed at 3 hotels in Boston and this was by far the best of the 3 hotels. The staff was very friendly, room was a good size and bathrooms looked clean. The hotel offers free bikes to explore the city, a great gym and a small lap pool. Also, the silver line is across the street to get you to and from the airport. A huge plus - free wifi read more

Spent two days contemplating what hotel to stay in Boston (super picky with hotels) and this hotel blew my mind. First of all the service especially jerry and the valet guys went above and beyond I've never seen service like that before. The rooms were so clean and modern, food at the hotel was surprisingly amazing. I can't think of one bad thing to say about here, definitely coming back!!! read more

Very nice hotel. I have stayed in flea bag hotels all the way up to the Ritz C. This was a great stay. The rooms are modern and roomy. They have USB ports everywhere to charge your gear. Mr. Gomes at the front desk was really on top of it. He made it a quick and well explained check in at the end of a long day for us. Anyone looking for a nice place to take your family on a vacation in Boston should consider staying here. The 2 egg any style in-room dining was really tasty. The service is quick. The bar area seemed to be hopping like a classy night club! We will be back if we come to town. read more

Interesting that some people feel that this isn't anything special - I guess it depends on your perspective. It is a very nice hotel with more amenities than most hotels. It may not be super-luxury, but I would consider it luxurious. My room was large and comfy, the bathroom well-appointed, and the bed super comfortable. I was only there for one night, and didn't spend a lot of time in the room, but for the time I was there, I was happy to find free wi-fi, free printing from your room to s central printer in the business center, and plenty of outlets in the room, including several that made it easy to keep my phone charged while leaving it on all night. The Bose radio with MP3 player input was a nice touch as well. If I found myself in Boston for business or leisure travel, I would definitely stay here again. read more

I'm sitting in the hotel room writing reviewing...after my first night. I think this is a 4-star hotel but really deserves more a 3-3.5 star. Not very clean - I find dust in the coffee maker, hotel folder, desk.... WORST OF ALL, I was turning down my own bed, and found quiet a few short brown hair on the sheet next to my pillows (I have long long black hair, so this can't be mine). The morning I'm working from the desk and I find the same short brown hairs on the desk. Housekeeping must not wipe anything in here. Great concierge - I asked concierge where is a good place to grab a bite since I didn't want to eat inside the hotel. He walked me to the door, opened the door and showed me across the street a nice little sandwich shop. View of the harbor was cool, but the decoration inside the hotel is very blend and nothing interesting. As most of the 4-5star business hotels have moved toward using down comforters, Seaport is still using blanket in sheets. It's not worth the buck. Kudos for free wireless! So it's a mix review of disappointment in how unclean the room but also some positive side. read more

A+. -We used Hotwire to book a room here in November 2014. Check-in was super easy and quick. We got to our room and loved it! It was HUGE with a great view of the water. No issues with anything in the room. We called downstairs for more pillows, and later room service - very polite and friendly folks. 3.5 stars This a pretty good hotel, but not great. It has some room for improvement. Rooms - a decent size, we had a partial and good view of the harbor, clean for the most part, and our room had a great large tv. My main gripe on cleanliness is that at the bottom of the shower curtain had some black mildew on it. It's a pet peeve for me - it's disgusting, but so easy to either bleach it dead or replace the shower curtain. The other thing is that the beds were only okay - I woke up with back pains, and that is my sign of a bed that doesn't have decent support. Front desk - the lady who helped me check in and who I spoke to each time I had questions on directions (concierge always seemed to be gone), was really nice and patient. The only things is I called in - several months in advance - to request adjoining rooms with my parents and for a rollaway bed for my son. Neither request was given to us because 1) adjoining rooms were given away already, 2) they were out of rollaway beds and 3) request made from those who book with third parties (like hotels.com) cannot he guaranteed. Now what? Who doesn't book with a third party? Probably just business people who don't need adjoining rooms and rollaway beds anyway! Grrrr. Plus guess what? The couple checking in next to us said they called the MORNING OF to double check that their request for a rollaway bed would be met, they were told yes, and at that time of check in, she was told there were no more rollaway beds. Two similar issues with two different parties tells me something has to be off with their system. Mis-information - now that I have a son, I call places to get extra information for convenience. One call was the room request above that was not honored. I called a second time and asked if we could see Fourth of July Fireworks from the hotel. Concierge on the phone said yes, or we could walk a little ways for a better view. Sigh, we got there and the same nice lady who checked me in told me I was told wrong - there are no longer fireworks on the harbor, so we'd have to go a ways out for fireworks. Kid-friendly - while we were messing with the whole room and bed situation, the bellman took my son to a small play room by the front desk and opened up a treasure chest of toys and told him to pick one. He loved the American flag that he got! I also love that they had milk and juices for us (kids) in the gym/pool area as well. Pool - decent-sized and a plus because it's indoors. However, the space around the pool was minimal, with not much space for lounging. So I have to say, customer service for those who make requests, and concierge knowledge needs to be improved. However, the lady who helped me redeemed the hotel because she really was very nice, patient and apologetic. Overall not a bad place to stay, however, what puts a hotel over the top is customer service, and that has some room for improvement here. read more

I stayed here once for a conference at the convention center. The rooms are typical corporate hotel rooms and the bar is about what you'd expect. If you're going to the convention center, hope for a nice day because it's the kind of walk that you won't want to do in the winter or even in the rain. It's a short walk to the No Name restaurant, which is equally unimpressive but popular with the tourists. I don't know about the Seaport's conference facilities or its restaurants but nothing led me to believe that they'd be out of the ordinary. I don't understand. If someone's going to spend the money to build a place like this, why didn't they make it at least a little bit special? read more

Came here for the South Boston Restaurants tasting charity event. I love these events. You get to taste a little of each restaurants, from Apptz, to Entrees, or desserts. For this events, some of the restaurant had some good tastings, a few that samples dessert, but for a restaurant? Back to the event, well organized, good amount of restaurants that participated from the South Boston/Seaport area. Seaport hotel service was good, but $6 for a soda, hope some of it goes to charity.
