Don't go. My father had a 12:00 pm appt with dr. Lee and showed up at 11:30a to fill out…read morepaperwork. The disorganized receptionist told him they didn't have his MRI and we had to go to the medical center to get it. The x-ray lady verified it had been sent and called them. After waiting on hold for 15 mins, someone finally came back on and said they found it. So we get back at 12:30 and wait for an hour and 15 mins and still wasn't called. We left for another appt. Disorganized, disrespectful. Don't unless you have to.

I went to Orthopaedic Associates a few months ago because of an ongoing hamstring injury and was…read moreseen by Amanda Pacillas, NP. During that appointment, Amanda told me she would get orders placed for both physical therapy and an MRI. I waited, but I never heard anything about either the physical therapy or the MRI. Neither happened. At the time, I let it go because I was hoping my hamstring would eventually get better on its own. Unfortunately, it didn't. It actually got worse. I recently called the office and asked about getting the MRI that I had originally been told would be ordered. Amanda's assistant told me I would have to come back into the office because too much time had passed and that insurance would need documentation that my condition had gotten worse. That didn't make sense to me. My question was simple: Why should I have to come back for another appointment to get an MRI that was supposed to have been ordered after my original appointment? I explained that I'm still having the same hamstring problem and that it has actually gotten worse. I asked whether this could be handled over the phone rather than requiring me to come back into the office. At that point, Amanda got on the phone herself and told me that it could not be done over the phone. Her tone immediately came across to me as flippant and dismissive. Rather than explaining why another office visit was necessary or addressing the fact that the MRI and physical therapy were supposed to have been ordered previously, she simply asked me, "Do you want to set up the appointment now or not?" I told her I would need to call back to schedule it. Frankly, her tone and attitude during the conversation made me question whether I even wanted to see her again. She responded, "Okay," and hung up. I understand that there can be insurance requirements and circumstances where a provider may determine that another examination is necessary. But medical orders can be handled by phone or telehealth in appropriate situations, so I don't think it was unreasonable to ask why I needed another in-person appointment--especially when the MRI was supposed to have been ordered during my original visit. If there was a specific insurance or clinical reason that required me to come back, I would have appreciated having that explained to me. What bothers me most is the lack of follow-through. I came in for a hamstring injury, was told I would receive orders for physical therapy and an MRI, and neither happened. Months later, when the injury had gotten worse and I called trying to get the MRI taken care of, I felt that my concerns about what happened the first time were dismissed rather than addressed. Amanda was actually very nice during my original appointment, which makes the experience afterward even more disappointing. Between the lack of follow-through and the way I was treated on the phone, I no longer have confidence that my injury and concerns would receive the attention they deserve if I returned to see her. Based on my experience, I would not recommend Amanda Pacillas. I hope the physicians and management at Orthopaedic Associates take concerns like this seriously. Patients should be able to expect that when they are told something will be ordered, it will actually be followed through on--and if something goes wrong, they should be treated respectfully when they call to get it resolved.

An update to my earlier review concerning this medical office…read more I received a call from them after I complained of the previous way my appointments and need for followups were handled. They were very apologetic, which was appreciated, and made new appointments for me for xray and to be seen by another of their orthopedists, both of which were my prior complaints when nothing was offered in this regard. This time my appointment lasted less than an hour, compared to the three hours per visit before. Dr. Tien, who I had seen once before, was timely and answered all my questions, even in regard to another injury. If you are able when visiting this office, do ask to see Dr. Tien. I am quite happy with the way this new round turned out. It's unfortunate the office didn't run as smoothly as before. I do hope they learned from this experience and will keep up the with the timeliness and professionalism, which I was assured their staff would be retrained about. I gave only four stars this time around, only because the prior visits can't be ignored no matter how great subsequent visits turn out.

There was files and paperwork on the floor x-ray personnel is so in a hurry to take your x-rays and it's not professional talking to other patients in the waiting room, they said bad comments and always having to reschedule appointments. It's an mediocre backyard facility. I would not recommend to take any of your family members there it should be closed down.
