As a long term sufferer of TMJ, I am well used to encountering dentists that fail to understand the complexities of this condition mainly due to the fact that it is a grey area between the medical and the dental professions. Not so with Dr. Barry, not only does he have a working knowledge of TMJ, he also has a sympathetic ear and I found him to be very thorough. After being correctly provided with a pan-oral x ray, Dr. Barry did his utmost to get to the root of the problem (no pun intended) and after a detailed explanation of the images, it was found that the pain was most probably a result of my TMJ. I have since recommended friends and clients to Docklands Dental and all have agreed that they do indeed offer the 'Next Generation Care' they endorse.

They told me all about my grinding and I've heard my colleagues say the same. There is a market for mouth guards, I guess. They have a sense of business. For instance you will get reminders to come again by email and texts every 6 months. All in all a relatively painless experience, friendly staff, clean and modern. I could give 4 stars, but who on earth would claim to be a fan of his dentist?

The staff are very friendly, and are quite on board with new technology (email & text reminders) and social media (Facebook, G+, Twitter, etc.). The clinic itself is bright, spacious and modern. I usually go to Mark, who is always very friendly, relaxed and efficient. He's treated me for several fillings, teeth cleaning, and a gum problem, and I've never had cause for complaint on any of his work. I would recommend these guys to anyone living/working in the area.

Needless to say, when it was time for my appointment, I needed to have a few visits scheduled to take care of a few things. Dr Gerry has got to be one of the best dentists. Certainly he would be the best dentist I have ever had. He explains everything really well and calms the nerves. He also checks in quite often to see if you are okay. He never seems rushed and seems to take adequate care and quality in the work which he performs. I can't remember the name of the girl from the front desk, however she was great as well. She explained well what was performed, what was needed next time, the relevant costs and what I would need to do to recoup taxes as well as from my insurance carrier. I highly recommend this place to anyone who needs a quality dentist.

Rang the clinic looking for an appointment for a tooth that was giving me pain and I got an…read moreappointment that evening. Great stuff so far. Arrived and was impressed by the look of the place. Was seen to promptly by the nurse who took an x-ray and then into see the dentist. He advised the tooth was in quite poor condition and that he would remove the filling and put a temporary one in place. A root canal was looking likely which I sort of expected. He removed the filling without anesthetic which was I thought odd. I was half expecting to have him hit a nerve and me hit the ceiling but thankfully didn't happen. Anyway filling removed he filled it in again and then I think when he was sealing the filling the pain started big time. He kept asking was I ok, to which I kept making pain noises. Anyway he assured me that the pain would subside and that if it didn't, to call the clinic again for an emergency root canal. So off I went back out to the receptionist who gave me a return appointment 2 weeks later. I left the clinic in pretty much the same state I arrived in but at least thinking the pain will now go away. Wrong. The next day I was in serve pain in work but kept thinking it would settle down. When I got home that evening I was still in pain despite taking pain killers so I phoned the clinic at 5.20pm No answer. 10 minutes later tried again still no answer. This went on until 6.30pm (website says open until 9pm) when I gave up and went to the VHI emergency dental clinic. I was advised there to see an endodontist as the tooth was in a bad way. End result, got a different dentist the next day who took out the temporary filling ( I forgot to mention that the filling mydental put in place didn'tfeel right either. I could feel a gap in the tooth. Surely not right??) and the new dentist put a better one in place who is now going to do the canal treatment. Thankfully out of pain and have more faith in the new dentist. Lastly, mydental called me yesterday to say they could bring my appointment forward :-) Queue for me to tell the receptionist of my experience and that I wouldn't be going back to which the reply was 'oh ok, thank you goodbye'. She is great and listens to my feedback with what I want and am looking for throughout my treatment. I am extremely nervous at the dentist, and to be fair, the dentist did do her best to explain everything she was doing and keep me calm. What wasn't explained was the costs of everything. I was told my initial exam would be €50, and could they do two little X-rays (no additional cost was mentioned, but these run at €15 a go). Then I was told I needed a filling where my tooth had broken (€115) , and a small buccal filling on the next tooth (€70), However, I was charged for two standard fillings. When I queried this, the dentist is now claiming I had a cavity and she performed a full filling, without mentioning anything about this to me, or performing any drilling on either tooth? I've asked for my records, and I'm waiting to see if they are going to stand by their claims, but needless to say I won't be returning.

Dentists in Ireland have one major problem - too darn high prices…read more This clinic gets +1 star from me because of decent and reasonable and, generally, lower prices. I got front upper tooth zirconium crown done for €500. Where few other dentist offered to get the job done for €700-800 and only for metal crown. Zirconium usually is €100 more. I liked the German dentist, who also made one filling. They have pen camera, so you can see live view of your teeth on the monitor. General service is quite lovely. Nurse was doing best job I've ever seen. Jumping around every minute or so and checking on the drain tube. Dentist was also very gentle and king to explain what was necessary to be done and what could wait. They even asked, if I'm flying back home (Lithuania), as it would be much cheaper to get my teeth fixed. Can you believe that? So honest. On a downside, the place (don't be confused with the medical equipment) is a bit crumbling. Waiting lobby is cold and small, nothing comfy. You might end up waiting for half hour or so. Be patient.
