I've had some bad dentist experiences in general so I'm fairly picky now! The practice is run by twin brothers, Liam and John, both of whom are really friendly and great at putting the patient at ease. I've seen both of them on two different occasions but the handover was seamless, John had looked through the xrays Liam had performed and thanks to his detailed notes, had a great overview of my history. They also have these interesting posters on the ceiling above the chair which are great for passing the time and giving you something to look at while they work away, small detail but shows care for the customer experience.

I started going to one of the dentists here, John, when he was at another practice a few of years ago. His easy going manner put me at ease straight away and his work was excellent to say the least. When he opened Village Dental a couple of years ago with his brother (the other dentist here), it was a no brainer for me to head here for any check-ups and treatment. Its a little out of the way for me as I don't live in Blanchardstown but, hey, when you find a good thing, best to stick with it in my book. I've no problems with going to the dentist now. Can't say I enjoy it in a perverse way just yet but I'm certainly not reluctant to pick up the phone and book my next check-up. I couldn't recommend the place highly enough. And for U2 fans there's a U2 book to read in the waiting room! N.B. Practice is just off Church Avenue. Google maps hasn't a recent enough tile for the area just yet.

As a long term sufferer of TMJ, I am well used to encountering dentists that fail to understand the complexities of this condition mainly due to the fact that it is a grey area between the medical and the dental professions. Not so with Dr. Barry, not only does he have a working knowledge of TMJ, he also has a sympathetic ear and I found him to be very thorough. After being correctly provided with a pan-oral x ray, Dr. Barry did his utmost to get to the root of the problem (no pun intended) and after a detailed explanation of the images, it was found that the pain was most probably a result of my TMJ. I have since recommended friends and clients to Docklands Dental and all have agreed that they do indeed offer the 'Next Generation Care' they endorse.

I got front upper tooth zirconium crown done for €500. Where few other dentist offered to get the job done for €700-800 and only for metal crown. Zirconium usually is €100 more. I liked the German dentist, who also made one filling. They have pen camera, so you can see live view of your teeth on the monitor. General service is quite lovely. Nurse was doing best job I've ever seen. Jumping around every minute or so and checking on the drain tube. Dentist was also very gentle and king to explain what was necessary to be done and what could wait. They even asked, if I'm flying back home (Lithuania), as it would be much cheaper to get my teeth fixed. Can you believe that? So honest. On a downside, the place (don't be confused with the medical equipment) is a bit crumbling. Waiting lobby is cold and small, nothing comfy. You might end up waiting for half hour or so. Be patient.

The dentist did not look like she had any experience in working with children, she wasn't able to interact with the child, there were no toy provided for distraction or for getting his attention , she wasn't creative at all, for her was very difficult just to change her sitting angle. With the help from parents she was able to see child's teeth ( for 2 sec) and she was very quick to charge us for this. But for cleaning procedure (that was the actual reason for coming) she did not want help from parents she just refused to do it. She is quick to charge but slow in her work. If she does not want to perform her work with the help of parents why does she charge for work which she was able to do only because of the help provided. The dentist is not professional . Misleading info on the website should be changed .
