A good dentist is worth going the extra mile for!…read more A friend's tip directed me over the river and up the hill to this family business, presided over by a father-and-daughter dentist pair. They've repurposed a Georgian house with bedrooms turning into exam rooms and a waiting room. On top of finding and fixing problems that other dentists overlooked, they're both just plain nice, with a long memory for patients and a feeling that you're really giving patronage to a small business. A further plus: prices are leaps and bounds lower than competitors. I trust my teeth to the O'Loughlins and you should too. The setup's a bit weird: get buzzed in the front door and you're directed via speaker into the waiting room, then later called into the reception area upstairs when they're ready for you. But sure that's how the house came to them, so that's what they did with it.

Having secured a late emergency appointment at Docklands Dental, I was promptly seen by…read moreDr. Barry . The reason for my visit was indeterminable pain between my wisdom tooth and jaw. As a long term sufferer of TMJ, I am well used to encountering dentists that fail to understand the complexities of this condition mainly due to the fact that it is a grey area between the medical and the dental professions. Not so with Dr. Barry, not only does he have a working knowledge of TMJ, he also has a sympathetic ear and I found him to be very thorough. After being correctly provided with a pan-oral x ray, Dr. Barry did his utmost to get to the root of the problem (no pun intended) and after a detailed explanation of the images, it was found that the pain was most probably a result of my TMJ. I have since recommended friends and clients to Docklands Dental and all have agreed that they do indeed offer the 'Next Generation Care' they endorse.

He is one of the best, if not the best dentist I ever visited. Explains well, made a crystal clear treatment plan. Maybe not the cheapest (clear pricelist on their site) , but definitely worth it for the quality and expertise they provide.

I would highly recommend Finglas Dental practice to anyone looking for a new Dentist or change of Dentist. I would recommend asking to see Dr. Tom Munroe and Laura as they have been by far the best I have been to since attending finglas dental practice. I would 100% recommend them to anyone.

When I called to make my the appointment I was informed I couldn't see the hygienist until I saw the main Dentist as this is common practice for a new patient. I waited two weeks for an appointment which wasn't too bad. The office is located about 5 minutes from the top of Camden street and inside an old Georgian house. The reception is located on the bottom floor and I was greeted by two very friendly receptionist. Filled out a quick form and was right on time to meet with Dr. Ed. Being honest I was actually taken aback by Dr. Ed's friendliness. You can tell that his patients are very important to him and he took genuine interest in myself. He was quick and precise but at no point did I feel rushed. I definitely felt he knew what he was talking about. I was then moved along to the Hygienist who again I felt very comfortable with. I would highly recommend.

Everything was explained and all the options were given..a pre-bill so I knew how much everything would cost over the next month...4/5 visits! I was disappointed with one thing; I had a filling and it was to cost E120. I went tot the front desk to pay I was charged more, nearly E30 more. I questioned it and was told the filling was deeper than originally expected so it cost more... communication PLEASE...never knew this until I was being charged...my pre-bill quote flew out the window :(

It's Friday! Usually…read moreif Friday means the end of your work week you treat yourself to a pint, chocolate or maybe sex. I treat myself to the dentist because I like to be ironic. After a cleaning last year I was invited to get my teeth x-rayed etc by Dr D. Casey. When I went into his room/surgery it felt like I was in someone's loft apartment, there even is a couch there... Although I can think of better rooms to catch up with friends over wine, the sight of dental tools is a bit of a buzz kill. Very bright, natural light coming in which really has a calming effect. TV screen on the ceiling so that you can focus on moving pictures instead of the dental equipment. The best part was the x-rays, there is another flat screen TV on the wall where Dr. Casey did a slide show of what my teeth look like and the x-ray of them too. It was helpful to understand what had to be done and a bit embarrassing. "They are so durty." So today I got two old fillings replaced and the decay underneath was removed. He was so fast it was like super-dentist. He also showed me the before and after pictures of the decay and new fillings. I planned to give myself the day off in pain and self-pity, not the case. I was back to normal in no time, my bite is perfect! Well other than getting my soup all over my numb face and walking to a work with it dried on my face. The staff are wonderful and friendly. The waiting area again is very calming except for Dr Phil on the TV. Lots of reading material. You can book via e-mail and they are very prompt. They send you text and e-mail remainders. If you are a nervous patient I can't think of a better team to go to. I love treating myself so much I'm returning next Thursday - woohoo!

I will not name names but their site and marketing approach seems more important than their ability to work in their chosen profession. In the SCR clinic you will always get the same dentist or dental hygienist if you are a patient. I'm quite a nervous patient and had a wisdom tooth extracted and two fillings plus a cleaning with the absolute minimum of pain. I would rate them as 5 stars or if grading them would give them an A( in other words greater than 85 percent -"good"). They are a ,"top drawer establishment ", and would tell anyone who is a nervous patient or has had a bad experience in the past that this is where to go. 5 stars. You will not get better easily and everyone who I spoke to while waiting had only good words to speak of them.
