When I called to make my the appointment I was informed I couldn't see the hygienist until I saw the main Dentist as this is common practice for a new patient. I waited two weeks for an appointment which wasn't too bad. The office is located about 5 minutes from the top of Camden street and inside an old Georgian house. The reception is located on the bottom floor and I was greeted by two very friendly receptionist. Filled out a quick form and was right on time to meet with Dr. Ed. Being honest I was actually taken aback by Dr. Ed's friendliness. You can tell that his patients are very important to him and he took genuine interest in myself. He was quick and precise but at no point did I feel rushed. I definitely felt he knew what he was talking about. I was then moved along to the Hygienist who again I felt very comfortable with. I would highly recommend.

I was disappointed with one thing; I had a filling and it was to cost E120. I went tot the front desk to pay I was charged more, nearly E30 more. I questioned it and was told the filling was deeper than originally expected so it cost more... communication PLEASE...never knew this until I was being charged...my pre-bill quote flew out the window :(

Dr. Tom Munroe is an amazing Denitst and so professional, I just had three root canals and crowns done and they look and feel brilliant, but more so he is such a nice person who gave me plenty of options and was detail in how he would solve my issues, and Laura who is his Dental assistant is amazing and so good and explains everything in detail. I would highly recommend Finglas Dental practice to anyone looking for a new Dentist or change of Dentist. As a long term sufferer of TMJ, I am well used to encountering dentists that fail to understand the complexities of this condition mainly due to the fact that it is a grey area between the medical and the dental professions. Not so with Dr. Barry, not only does he have a working knowledge of TMJ, he also has a sympathetic ear and I found him to be very thorough. After being correctly provided with a pan-oral x ray, Dr. Barry did his utmost to get to the root of the problem (no pun intended) and after a detailed explanation of the images, it was found that the pain was most probably a result of my TMJ. I have since recommended friends and clients to Docklands Dental and all have agreed that they do indeed offer the 'Next Generation Care' they endorse.

Over the years the doctors working there have changed and I usually seem to get a different doctor each time a make an appointment. I can understand that they are a busy clinic, but it would be handy to see the same doctor so you don't have to explain things multiple times or have them stare at the computer trying to figure out your medical history. On a good day I only wait 5-10 mins from my appointed time, but on a really bad day it can go up to 30mins. The clinic itself is very clean and big, has BBC on the tv and it's not too hard to make an appointment with the exception of December~ January. They do travel health and immunisations as well at a cheaper rate than places like Tropical Medical Bureau but are only open until 5:30pm. Overall, nice clinic, efficient service and professional staff.

The resident Dentist and Dental Nurse there are lovely, caring and very helpful and the doctor seems quite nice as well. It is so easy to get an appointment and they are very flexible. Prices are reasonable for private patients and they accept medical card patients as well. I'd definitely recommend PrimaCare!

I wouldn't recommend the dentist at Primacare Maynooth after my horrifically bad experience there…read more While some people seem to have had acceptable experiences, my fillings repeatedly fell out in addition to decay being left under my teeth. All of the work I had done at Primacare had to be redone. Additionally, the complaint procedure was basically non-existent and all of my letters were ignored. While free consultations are appealing I won't be going back any time soon.

And…read morewell I did something to my big toe, and after suffering for a bit it occurred to me that the frozen peas might not be the medical experts i took them for. Anyway I had previously noticed this new(ish) walk in Dr's surgery, which I thought I could use. Mostly I use the college doc but it was too far to hobble. So off I hobbled to this surgery with its odd, but actually quite convenient opening hours. The reception area is a bit off-putting. There is no receptionist... but there is CCTV and it's assumed that the waiters will organise themselves in the order in which they came into the holding area (it honestly felt more like a holding area than a waiting room). With the austere surroundings I though the doctors would not be nice, but actually the doctor I met with was really lovely and quite sympathetic to my dislocated (as it turns out) toe. The price of the visit was pretty high too, higher than my own GP by a bit. All in all the place was handy in my hobbling 'emergency' but I wouldn't like to go their regularly... it's bad enough feeling sick without going somewhere that makes you feel like you've also committed a crime. Yes, these things matter!

It has taken some time, but they seem to have settled with a really good base of doctors now. I believe you need to be registered with the surgery prior to being able to see one of the doctors, so that is something to note, if you have moved into the area. I know a few years ago, they were not taking new patients but this may now have changed. There is a free hearing test clinic on-site, a pharmacy next-door and a dedicated nurse. There is also plenty of parking at the surgery or right across the road in the Tesco car-park. It means the visit to the doctors is hassle free. It is €55 for a standard appointment, which I do know is dearer than some other places.

A good dentist is worth going the extra mile for!…read more A friend's tip directed me over the river and up the hill to this family business, presided over by a father-and-daughter dentist pair. They've repurposed a Georgian house with bedrooms turning into exam rooms and a waiting room. On top of finding and fixing problems that other dentists overlooked, they're both just plain nice, with a long memory for patients and a feeling that you're really giving patronage to a small business. A further plus: prices are leaps and bounds lower than competitors. I trust my teeth to the O'Loughlins and you should too. The setup's a bit weird: get buzzed in the front door and you're directed via speaker into the waiting room, then later called into the reception area upstairs when they're ready for you. But sure that's how the house came to them, so that's what they did with it.
