The other companies charged a lot of money for spot fixes in very small areas of the roof that ultimately didn't solve our issues, or they quoted us a huge sum of money to replace our entire roof. This past week, we had extremely heavy rains and saw water dripping from a can light in an area that a previous company was supposed to have fixed. I put out a request on Yelp and skyline was among the first to respond. Frank called and offered to come immediately to take a look, even though it was quite late. They identified the area that needed remediation and quoted a fair price to fix it, plus the rest of the trouble spots on my roof. I knew we had more rain coming in a few days, so the job had to be completed quickly. The next morning, Frank's crew showed up and quickly made progress, but they also noticed something that no other roofing company had - they opened up the roof to find structural issues where 2 skylights had not been installed properly, and rafters were cracked. This explained why previous spot fixes hadn't resolved the issue. Again, Frank quoted a fair price to resolve this structural issue. They proceeded and did the work quickly, in time to finish before the next waves of rain came, including even cutting back a branch that was risking damaging a section of the roof. They provided before / during / after photos. The roof looks excellent, solving the one major issue, as well as doing maintenance work on many other areas of the roof that now look brand new. Throughout my experience, the one thing that stood out more than anything was Frank's responsiveness and communication. He was incredibly fast and responsive, took the time to answer all of my questions and helped me think through my repair options, and was available and responsive constantly throughout the job and at all hours of the day and night. Over the years the base started to chip & deteriorate. I was suppose to have the original contractor come out & refinish the coat every year or every other year, unfortunately this company went out of business. I saw an ad for a different type of flooring w/a polyaspartic base coat which is suppose to be more durable than epoxy. After an estimate & deposit was made w/Comer & Cross came out started grinding the existing coat off. After an hour of grinding my stair they told me they couldn't do the job because a corner of the concrete was chipped and they don't do concrete work. WTF? After I went through this fiasco w/Comer & Cross. My buddy told me about JL Concrete Design in Addison. I called them and spoke to Julia who was very helpful & friendly. She sent Joe out to take a look at the stair the next day. After inspecting the stair he gave me a quote, scheduled a repair. Joe came out as planned & finished the stair in less than1 day.

Communication was thorough and timely. Multiple samples were delivered to my home, to ensure I was happy with the color of shingles to be installed. The price for the whole service was well within reason. Since I had my roof done at an unpopular time (winter), I had the full crew at my disposal. Thus, they must have set a new record for how quickly the work was completed. The old roof was removed and the new roof installed in practically no time at all. It felt like Santa's elves were working magic up there! A serious effort was made to protect my yard from debris (though I will say, I wish they would have thoroughly moved back the heavy stones they used to hold down the tarps). The owner responded to my request for a quote immediately, came out to my house, and by the…read morefollowing week, I had new 5 inch gutters to match my house with larger 3x4 downspouts and Gutter Glove gutter guards at the lowest of the quotes I had been given over the past month. He was responsive to my concerns re my previous gutters (mismatched colors, undersized downspouts, clogging, leaking, and continual upkeep). The owner saw that I needed a solution to an area where there was only one downspout for two levels of my roof, and added another downspout (one for upper; one for lower) and routed one downspout in another direction, per my request not to flood out my lower lying neighbor as previous). He was responsive to helping me attach loose pieces of vinyl on my siding and he had his crew even caulking and painting some trim for no extra charge to make sure my house is waterproof. When they came out to install everything, there were 8 men in the crew and the owner, and they were in and out, in 3 hours, with zero mess left behind. They even took a magnetic roller over my yard to make sure no loose nails were left. His crew made sure everything I wanted had been completed before leaving. They even did extras that I had never seen before like adding aluminium guards in particular areas like around the chimney to make sure the water is directed off the house. All in all, I'm very impressed! They definitely go above and beyond and there was no bill, until every last thing was done, and the owner returned and reinspected the job. When I gave the owner the payment, he went over each part of the gutter system to explain how it works and put in writing a workmanship guarantee of one year, and 20 years for parts. He told me to call if I wanted anything changed, since I had made a change to his original plan in one area. He was very flexible about telling me, if I wanted it to his original specs, just call and they'd change it. I'm excited about how beautiful my new functional gutters look on my home!! I'm continually admiring how pretty my house looks now. I can't wait until it rains!!
