As a homeowner, I was nervous about remodeling my home. I was referred to joe by a friend who had her kitchen remodeled by him and his team and she had said great things. She connected us and he made the process stress-free and exciting. Working with Joe was amazing and I'm so happy to have had the honor. The attention to detail and quality of workmanship was second to none. I'm so thrilled with the way my kitchen turned out and can't wait to enjoy it with my family and friends. Joe and his team were friendly, professional, and always available to answer my questions. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for a top-notch home remodeling experience.

Work in progress

Miguel and his capable crew took the lead in renovating my family's laundromat after a devastating fire. We went from a charred mess to fully operational in 2 weeks; Nothing short of miraculous. He was communicative, pro-active, efficient and pleasant to do business with. His pricing was reasonable and he's well networked to get specialty needs filled. Promised and delivered.

After the remodel. Vinyl floors, smooth drywall and marble tile

I was looking to update my fireplace and looking for something a little more modern. My Contractor Miguel came over and gave me a free estimate. He recommended we remove the old bricks and drywall the area. I asked if we could do a different style of hearth and we went with Marble Tiles. The overall job took 4 days. The results were awesome!!! Will definitely be calling them to remodel my bathrooms!!!

Needs landscaping. Looks good.

Paint on the house looks great. The crew was awesome. Very clean and respectful. Thanks for putting up with me. Neighborhood recommended.

We felt their quote was fair, and they went above and beyond to make sure the job was done right and will last. Cavalier's team discovered, and fixed, a number of things that were done incorrectly by flippers we bought the house from in the process. Sharon was a good communicator, and Federico did a great job with attention to detail on the repairs and painting. They did a great job, we are planning to explore a garage ADU in the future and would feel confident hiring Cavalier again for that larger project.

The entire team is amazing and while big home projects are often stressful, Sharon and his team made it a positive experience. The biggest thing for me was that they were able to complete the work (including clean-up) within the timeframe we agreed on. When we consulted Sharon with our project, he had a "can do" mindset and really listened to what I wanted while also giving solid advice. I've had bad luck with contractors before and been gaslit at times, but Sharon's approach of having an actual conversation and putting the customer first made us go with his team. While most remodels require you to acquire materials on your own, Sharon connected us with Tile and Shower door folks (and they also had nothing but good things to say about him). I appreciate how he'd always check in to make sure we have all the items ready (i.e. vanity, toilet, etc.), and he'd always drop in to check on the progress. Eddie and his team were absolute professionals and do everything with care and precision. Really liked how he'd always double-check things with us down to the smallest detail (e.g. paint colors, door hinges, etc.). Pricing, I'd say they're within average of the estimates we received. Totally worth it and highly recommend them. Next time I have another big project, I'm definitely reaching out to them.

Our kids are getting older, and we needed a little more space in the house. Our three kids were…read moresleeping in one little bedroom, and the kitchen was pretty cramped, with a bathroom tucked into a corner by the back door. We also had an outdoor concrete space that was not necessarily being used in the best way - it was a little workout area, sometimes we held birthday parties there, and we had our washer and dryer outside (but under the overhang.) Looking out over this concrete area was a window, from our office. We wanted to expand, but properly - and with all the necessary permits in place. When we first started looking to expand, we thought we could just enclose the concrete space and turn it into an extra room. A few contractors came out to look and said they could do it with some pre-fabricated paneling. AtoZ was the only company that said it would not be a good idea, and they declined our project. After we looked into it more we eventually realized the window from our office was a weird problem - it would open into this new room. We eventually contacted AtoZ again, and asked them to develop more detailed architectural plans - the cost of which could be applied to construction if we decided to use them, since they are a design and build company. Their design had us move the bathroom from the kitchen to a place by the new room entrance - thus expanding our kitchen. They moved the back door and got ride of the office window, turning the area into a hallway into the new room. Their designs made sense, and we ended up working with on the build, too. AtoZ helped get the paperwork done with the city - this was a huge relief as I had heard that Alhambra is a tough place to get the proper permits and paperwork completed. They estimated the work would take 4 months - and everyone I talked to said I should double that because contractors usually over promise. AtoZ finished everything in 3 months - yes, a whole month ahead of schedule. This was done while we stayed and lived in the house - we did not move out while they did their work. They were respectful of our property and our time. They worked hard and got the job done. The new room looks great! We moved our washer and dryer into the back of the kitchen area, and the kitchen still feels bigger. Overall, it feels like we can breathe again. There were a few little touches that I loved about their design and working with this company. They added a skylight to our office, and it has been amazing - it is so bright that the entire room feels bigger. I really appreciated the fact that they told me "no" when I requested certain things, but were very willing to work with me on others. I asked for a window in the new bathroom, but they said they could not and would not add one because it was a "sheer wall" and designed with earthquakes in mind - cutting a hole for a window would compromise the integrity of the wall. They guys said they needed to be able to sleep at night, knowing they built me a safe addition to my home. That is the kind of integrity that I appreciate - they were not willing to sacrifice that for a few more dollars. When made other requests late in the construction phase - namely adding skylights to the bathroom and kitchen - they agreed to install them to accommodate my late request, even though the kitchen was nearly done. They were also very safety oriented - when we caught COVID near the end of construction, they didn't send their guys in because they wanted their group to stay healthy and safe. AtoZ has been a pleasure to work with. This was my first time working with a contractor to do significant work to my home. Their workers were friendly, professional, hard working and trustworthy. There were times I had to leave the house, and they never ventured into areas without my consent. I was worried that I would have to slog through a couple of years of paperwork and construction, but from start to finish AtoZ was professional, friendly and up to the task. Thank you, Rami and Zack - and please thank the crew for us. We are very happy with our remodeled home!

Along the entire process Benny was on top of communicating the status and responding to my questions. Their quote was very fair and there were no surprise additional costs which is something that I worried about (I guess I watch too many renovation shows). Benny handled all the permits and he stopped by the house almost every day to make sure everything was running smoothly. I would definitely recommend BK Remodelers for any renovation job.
