Camp people were nice. I was hoping my granddaughter would have had more hands on and riding experience as this was her first exposure to anything horsey. M-F about 4 hrs a day (including BYO lunch time). They pet some ponies the first day, and made tree ornaments, mucked stalls on day 2, led the ponies on a lead line on day 3, day 4 FINALLY got on a horse or pony, and last day? Water activity - not horse related. No place for parents or grandparents to observe or take pictures, I scoured the internet for a purple riding helmet in her size, her mom bought her boots with a low heel - and she rode once. All for $400.
So, the big day was today - riding a horse. I picked up my granddaughter and asked her how the ride was. She said, "Bumpy." I explained, "Well, yeah, it can be, but that's why you learn to ride." She said, "But the saddle was crooked." Me: "Oh. Well, how long did you ride for?" She said, "About 5 minutes."
So, $400 for 20 hours of day care in a horse-adjacent venue where we bought boots and a helmet, for a 5 minute "pony ride" in a crooked saddle they couldn't be bothered to re-cinch.
