The Little Gym had been recommended to us, so we tried an intro class. Upon arriving, we were greeted by a few friendly people. My partner and I looked at the gym space and wanted to play on it ourselves - it looked so fun! The class itself was well-structured without being overly scheduled. There were a series of activities along with some free play and some offered "spotting" from the instructor. The instructor had such positive, encouraging energy. We tried things with our little guy that we wouldn't have thought of before, like a supported front flip and back flip. He got to play with bubbles and play on some equipment that he really enjoyed. I really, really appreciated after class that we were walked through the membership program BUT not pushed with a hard sell. At this point we've decided that the cost is higher than we're willing to do for now. We don't anticipate raising an olympic gymnast, so the idea of spending over $1,200 a year on classes for our baby is more than we want to do when he's so little. But once he gets a little older, I think a membership is in our future.

After a few months I sought out Josh's help as I wanted to get back into shape in advance of an outdoor adventure I had planned four months down the road. Josh got me to where I needed to be for my adventure and beyond. He helped me build regular exercise habits after years of neglecting that part of my life. I developed strength, flexibility, and conditioning with Josh's virtual coaching program. He tailored workouts for me by setting my baseline to where I was at the start until I could steadily feel and see the progress. Once Josh got involved my stress level drastically decreased. I knew I had someone who knew what he was doing, who stuck with me even when I didn't have a good week or forgot to follow the plan, and who was always ready with a motivating pep talk. Fast forward to today. I'm 44 years old and in the best shape of my life. My chronic pain issues are all but gone, I'm able to work out as hard as ever, I can play tennis at a high level for 2 hours at a time, and I'm 45 pounds lighter than when I started. I joined in mid February and have had overwhelmingly positive interactions with the coaches & members every single day since. Having moved here March 2020 and continuing to work from home the last two years, joining this community has been a blessing in ways I hadn't even expected but truly appreciate. One of the owners, Christine, was kind and welcoming from the first email interaction through when I actually stepped foot in the gym. She continues to be a supportive coach who meets me where I'm at and challenges me to keep progressing. Jamie is the other owner who is always willing to give me feedback on form and assist me while I become more confident in the various lifts - which is so helpful! Kelsey is the coach who trained me 1:1 in the very beginning (which was beneficial beyond measure!) and continues to provide encouragement and inspiration. The other coaches I've had the chance to interact with periodically are equally as lovely - the culture here simply cannot be beat. If you've ever considered Cross Fit but were intimidated or heard mixed messages - I invite you to join this gym for a class to see what it's all about. And while this isn't the closest location to me, I'm so glad I followed the hunch & made this gym my own. I look forward to showing up each class, knowing I'll be challenged through an intentionally programmed workout surrounded by people of all fitness levels. While I expected a good workout, I did not expect the amount attention I received from the coaching staff. Even though I was only there for one day, I was treated as an equal.
