Hired Seahawk to install a new sliding glass door. While they were here to look at project they looked around & said...you know, we do all outdoor projects...& it looks like you might need some other repairs. Which was a vast understatement! First...I had contacted 3 deck companies & 2 tree removal...not ONE responded. The deck needed to be replaced but first a huge tree needed to be limbed. They schedule that the NEXT week! These guys are the most responsive I have ever dealt with. They have finished the deck to MY specifications & it is fabulous. The guys made sure each step of the project they fully understood what I wanted which prevented any 'do-overs'. Plus being competent & gracious. Left the property pristine. Guys are here to pressure wash today & then paint. I've hired them to do roof & gutters also. And pricing in the ballpark if not under. read more

Seahawk remodeling built our Trex deck. From the beginning it was a great experience. We had been trying to get bids for 2 years to have our deck rebuilt. We had contractors who didn't show up, showed up but never submitted a bid, to contractors who bid astronomical amounts of money. Nick sat down with me and went through the entire process of what he would do. He had samples to show me and educated me on the different types of Trex/plastic products to use. He was also the only contractor who noticed that part of our deck was sinking and needed to be fixed. The process was seamless. They showed up on a Monday and worked all day, every week day until it was finished. 7 days later. They were respectful, friendly and even helped to move some of the heavy items off our deck and back on again afterwards. I cannot say enough about Nick and Seahawk remodeling. We will definitely be recommending them to our HOA and friends who need new decks. read more

There are some good and bad things about Seahawk remodeling. I needed some windows replaced and they were one of the companies that came to do the bid. The person that came out to do the appointment was on time. However when he came in he didn't offer to take the shoes off. Of all the people that came to do bids this was the only company that didn't do that. But that's okay. I imagine a lot of people in construction who gets their hands dirty does this. Seahawk did the measurement well and introduced his product well. He mentions that he provides the better product out there (Low-e, double pane, argon gas), which is good. However I was told that it is the better than competitor's windows. This is absolutely not true for my case. Everyone that came and did the bid had low-e, double pane, argon gas windows. There simply aren't people who do other types in 2016. Maybe his understanding of competitors is outdated or it was a sales strategy. Later after more research I found out there are two types of low-e - hard coat and soft coat. But he didn't explain this difference nor which one he offered. It was really cool he had a heat lamp and a device to measure the heat so I could see the difference. However it wasn't cool that he was comparing heat on the other side of the window with the heat inside the heat lamp (I think it was aimed at the heating metal in the bulb). I felt it was done to impress me but it had the opposite effect of losing my trust. Lastly he provided a quote on the spot, and tried to get me to sign contract on the spot. It was the highest I've had, even after discount. He kept saying to come out again to sign the contract would cost me more money to get me to buy on the spot. Well, there's something called e-mail and phone and trust. This car salesman technique and pressure was perceived as an indicator of poor business practice to me. Overall, unfortunately, I felt Seahawk remodeling cared more about their sales technique than understanding the customer's needs, exploring the different options, and getting a great window job done. Although the bidding experience is bad, I feel like if they actually did the install it would have been a great job. But this is just guessing game. Who knows? read more

I found Seahawk remodeling on Angie's List they had great ratings so I reached out and Cameron August 2017 gave me a bid for tear down and installing a covering over my patio. I accepted the bid for the job to start three weeks after $8000 down payment received. Checked cashed on September 1. After delayed start dates, rude customer service from Cameron I requested refund. Angie's List was involved and said Seahawks remodeling does not want to give me refund. I sent certified letter to Nick requesting refund late October 2017. If I do not get a refund will be seeking legal action. I will not do business with an arrogant and disrespectful company. read more

We were referred to Seahawk Remodeling services by an acquaintance. We wanted to replace all of the old windows in our house and were looking at various companies. The owners came to our home and put on a great sales pitch, touted up and down about their Angie's List reviews, and we unfortunately fell for it. The people who actually did the work were very messy and left stuff everywhere after they were done which my boyfriend and I had to clean up ourselves. They also cut one of our phone lines near the garage window that needed to be replaced. They denied that they did it even though I had before and after pictures. Additionally one of the windows broke during delivery (not their fault) but getting someone out to install that final window took weeks. Once it was finally installed I was glad to be done with that company once and for all. I don't recommend this company to anyone unless you like cleaning up messes and false advertising. I can't believe these people are still in business! read more

I got numerous quotes from recommended companies to do a teardown of an old cedar deck and have it replaced with a composite deck. I got either high pressure "commit right now and I'll give you a special deal" quotes or nonchalant off the cuff quotes. But Seahawks Remodeling was professional, they went over everything and their quote was inline with most of the other companies. The installers were great, always showing up on time and keeping their work area clean at the end of the day. The deck is beautiful and I couldn't be happier. Called Seahawk about a week ago and scheduled an appointment for an estimate. 2 hours before the appointment they called to ask some questions about what I was looking for. Was unable to take the call as I was at work. Wanted to call them back but was unable to. Left work early to head home and get an estimate and they were a no-show because I wasn't able to connect with them 2 hours prior. Couldn't believe they called 2 hours before our scheduled appt and didn't show up. Terrible customer service. Won't be using them. read more

Seahawk Remodeling rebuilt our deck with cedar decking. The finished product looks great. When they first came out to do the estimate they had their winter special going on if we booked in the same day. They showed us the difference is cost between cedar and treck. Because of the lower cost and the fact that we really liked the look of cedar that's what we went with. We called Seahawk Remodeling to schedule an appointment to bid a roof and siding remodel. Our expectations are for the project to be $100,000+ as the project will likely entail new windows. After clearing our schedule so we could be home midday, Seahawk called three hours before the appointment. The gentlemen on the phone said he was only going to come out "if he could make the sale today". We explained that we were on the tail-end of a lease-to-buy agreement where the price of the home had already been negotiated and we were looking for three bids as the project would be starting shortly. He said he would bid the project but would charge $400 for his time. After reiterating that we were looking for three bids on the project and would not pay for the bids, he hung up the phone. We will gladly take our business elsewhere. read more

We hired Seahawk Remodeling (worked with Cameron Hanke) to tear down our existing back deck and front porch that was not up to current code standards, and rebuild it up to code, as well as add a new staircase (off the back deck). The overall deck/porch look great, however the low scores are for what happened during and after the deck was built. Cameron initially quoted us that the project would take about 3-4 weeks to complete, however it took twice as long, at about 8 weeks. The reason for this delay was because without prior notice, the two builders were pulled off our deck project to complete other projects multiple times. Sometimes it would just be a day that they wouldn't come by to complete the work, the longest they were gone without any communication to us was about 2 weeks. At this point when they didn't communicate with us beforehand that they weren't going to be working on our project for those two weeks, they had the project almost finished, except that the staircase off the back deck was missing some railings. So the deck was usable, just unsafe. We have two dogs and a toddler, and this was unacceptable to us to just quit working for a couple weeks without any warning ahead of time, and without keeping us updated as to why they were continuing to put our project on hold, and when they would be back. It took multiple phone calls to Cameron to get them to come and finish the job. The issues we are now facing with Cameron and Seahawk Remodeling, is that we are completing the permit process with Snohomish County, and the county inspector found deficiencies against code requirements with the deck that need to be addressed with fixes by the contractor. We have called multiple times to have Cameron's crew come out and fix these deficiencies to bring the deck up to code completely, sent all the necessary paperwork from the county noting exactly what needs to be done, and they have been silent. At first Cameron said they wouldn't be able to schedule us until end of March because "there are 4 deck projects ahead of ours", but we know they could pull their crew off an existing project for the 1-2 days needed to finish the job in order for our deck and permit to be satisfied (considering they did it to us). And now he's not even entertaining communicating to us at all. The deck itself looks great, however we are sorely disappointed in the lack of professionalism, quality (they said they would build a deck up to code, and have failed to complete the necessary items deemed important by the county, which also begs the question about their knowledge and competence about the code requirements), and communication. We experienced terrible customer service and will not be working with them again. read more

After reading great reviews about Seahawk Remodeling on different websites one would think that this is a company you can trust. Unfortunately, this is NOT true. A homeowner can not rely on the subcontractors hired by the company to carry the projects out accurately and to specific measurements. This company needs an onsite supervisor to tie all three projects together since each project's measurements affected the other project. The company was to pour a concrete, stamped patio, build a 21X10 deck off the stamped concrete, and install a patio cover--all aligning off each other. First pouring of cement... mediocre. The company offered a gift certificate to a fancy restaurant to accept the mediocre cement work. After refusing this gracious offer ,the company did good by its name by re-pouring the cement. The length of the cement patio was too long and affected the size of the deck. The deck's measurements were off. Notified the company and was told this deck would be a 21X10 deck. This did not happen. The stairs of the deck were shortened from 4 feet to 3 feet in order to get the stairs to fit and ended up on the cement which was not initially part of the project. The two contractors who built the deck did quality work and had good attitudes despite dealing with all the complexities of the measurements. Patio cover installed by a different company and that project too had its tweak's. The deck, the patio cement, and the patio cover, all three projects were not aligned,( i.e. were off about 6 inches). The company did deduct $1,000.oo of a $22,000.00 project. Moral of the review...do yourself a favor hire a different company for multiple projects and always do your own measurements on projects completed by any contractors. I was contacted immediately by Toni, a representative from Seahawk Remodeling just minutes after I submitted my request. She reviewed the description I submitted in my request and ask for addition detail. After I detailed my plans she asked me my wife's name and went on to say that Mike would come out and meet with both me and my wife and would move quickly to schedule as this time of year most contractors are not accepting deck business so they would like to "get this on the books" quickly. I said that I am in budgeting phase and that my wife would be meeting with Mike and based on the estimate we would decide if we would go forward with Seahawk Remodeling. Toni indicated that they require both husband and wife to be present. I said my wife is driving this project and if I couldn't be there I understand it might be a deal breaker for their process and I would just just work with them another time. Toni said that they really need both husband and wife present. Again I said I understand but I will be out of town so I could not be present. She said when do you leave town and I said next week for 3 weeks and she said they could meet both of us prior to me leaving town. I said I appreciate the "hard sell" but I am not going to change my plans to accommodate their requirement and that I will just find another contractor more interested in taking my money for my project on my terms. read more
