Finally had a chance to eat here and we were glad we did. Broiled Sea Scallops were large and great tasting. My wife had the Calabash Shrimp and it was way more than she was able to consume. Went there on 2/17 the. Same night the other reviewer got sick but a few hours later. We arrived at 7:15 and waited about 15 min to get our table. After ordering and waiting, and waiting and waiting a little longer we realized we had been waiting close to an hour for our food! 3 tables got up and left in that time. The waitress we had look like she hated her job, never smiled. The other waitress in our section eventually came over and apologized for the long wait telling us they were short staffed in the kitchen. Our entire section .. 6 tables were all waiting To eat. We sat by the fireplace. I thanked her for at least checking on us because our waitress never checked or offered an explanation as to the long wait. About 15 min later our food came out. So did our entire section and the section on the other side of the restaurant. The food was good but not worth the 1:15 wait to get it. While we waited I read the review about the gentleman throwing up. I was not very impressed with the management but was glad I had read it because I at least knew where the responsibility lied with the poor service. Went here tonight for dinner. The wait was around 30 minutes, then it took another 40 to get our food. Long waits. I ordered a salad to go with my meal. The waitress forgot it. I heard the customers behind us saying their food was cold. We got a piece of raw fish. When we showed our waitress, she said I'll tell the cook. No attempt to make anything right. We also heard two waitresses complaining about not making any tips. We will not be returning. read more

I am the guy who got sick as mentioned by Joann. This is the second time i have been to this restaurant. The first time i went i was so happy with the food and service i told my friends and they joined me there for dinner there at around 5. The hostesses and waitress were all very nice and courteous and at first the evening was going fine. I ordered the seafood linguine with a blue cheese salad. Salad was good and the waitress even brought me extra dressing. When entrees arrived at our table everything looked good, however 7 bites into my pasta i realized the scallops were undercooked. I didn't think much of it at first but decided to stop eating and take rest home to microwave. After i asked for my to-go box, i put my left overs in it and started to feel nautious. I ran to the bathroom and threw up profusely. Upon my return my party was concerned about and suggested i tell the manager. I brought my to go box up to the counter and told the hostess that i had gotten sick from the food. She apologized and went to get the manager. The manager arrived, who is also the cook, and asked what the problem was. I explained that the food had made me vomit and i wanted him to know that. I was being very cordial with him and he immediately accused me of trying to get out of my bill. I explained that i wasn't looking for a discount i simply wanted him to know i was sick to prevent some one else suffering the same fate. When my friend asked him to refund my food, he accused me of lying about my illness and said if i did not pay my bill he would have me arrested. I never asked for a refund...i paid my bill and tipped our waitress. The whole staff apologized for the managers behavior. This is not about the workers, it's about the scum bag manager who will get you sick from undercooked food. read more

We went to dinner at Seagull's Grill last night to celebrate our anniversary. Unfortunately, we were completely dissatisfied with the food. First, when our order came to the table, it was not what we ordered. So, they corrected the problem and gave us what we ordered. My husband ordered calamari and it was very soggy and I got a salad to start with blue cheese dressing. The lettuce was still wet and watered down the blue cheese to liquid. I ordered an 8 oz filet mignon, medium rare. It was two pieces of steak about a 1/4 of an inch and well done. The baked potato I ordered was not totally cooked through. My husband ordered fried oysters and they were ok. He got more french fries than oysters. For a restaurant that just opened, we felt that they would have a better presentation and much better food. If you look at the pictures of the food on their website, it shows what a filet should look like. What I got was more like a flank steak, definitely not a medium rare FILET MIGNON. Mostly seafood on the menu but seems it is all "fresh frozen" and not truly fresh. Waitresses don't not seem to know anything about the food as they could not answer basic questions about items on menu. One waitress described how something was made to later find out when owner came out that it wasn't made fresh-it was frozen. BBQ (although very small portion of menu) was very good but cannot say the same for the seafood that makes up 80% of the menu. Would have liked a nice cold beer which was on the menu but turns out no alcohol is yet served there. Pretty disappointing overall. read more

Terrible experience from the time we walked in. Called and made reservations for 4. When we arrived we were told they did not take reservations for less than 10. Told them they sure accepted mine for 4. Said they did not keep reservation book up front and implied I was lying. Asked them to look at reservation book and sure enough found mine. Still did not want to honor it. We started to leave and they said they would seat us. The waitress brought us 6 small hushpuppies. Shrimp cocktail was a few shrimp, none over one half inch long, floating in ice and water. We were then ignored for one hour and ten minutes. Sorry I can not comment any further on the food because we decided to leave. Went next door and had great food on the table in 20 minutes. Really wanted this to be a great new place to eat out. A mistake was made, this happens. Even after realizing they had made a mistake they had no clue how to properly address the situation.
