This part of the St. Regis resort. As the only food option open during the day, this restaurant is your only choice for a long time. Took a long time for us to get menus and the check in the main eating area, but the bar area was super quick and service was fantastic there. The only food I would really recommend or go back for would be the ceviche (soaked in lime, little bit of spice), and the specialty coffees. Otherwise it is what you expect from overpriced resort food. The menu is pretty short. The low stars are for price, the so-so food, the birds & bugs trying to eat your food at the same time as you, and the slow service outside. We tried a few different things since we were there for a few days. The lobster chicharrones is not great especially for the price. The breakfast brunch is good especially with an omelette (scrambled eggs were dry when I tried). I had arroz con huevo and that was good. The pizza and pizzettas were both good. The churrasco was disappointing for the price. It was very confusing how they had dinner but that was not listed in the website. The service was good. All the wait staff was nice and courteous, and attentive. The location is nice by the beach. Good view. Convenient. read more

If not staying at hotel make sure to make a reservations as will not be let you onto property without that. We went at normal dinner time of 730 and Place only had two other tables. Waitress claimed was busier early which is possible people went before sunset. Food was okay though not sure worth the price. Okay wine list and service was good which not hard with so few people. We ate outside it Though they have a inside bar area also. We ended up going to lobby bar as place was closing down as we left. Seagrapes lived up to the St. Regis standard. Breakfast during the week is a little confusing as it's a buffet but the food isn't really laid out, you must order. The weekends have the full buffet ready to go out for you to help yourself, the mimosa included with the buffet was a nice touch. For lunch, the short rib quesadillas are the best I've ever had, the burgers are great, and the conch fritters are just ok. The service here is great, whether you're ordering from Seagrapes from in the restaurant or sitting poolside, they are attentive and friendly. Plenty of staff to attend to you quickly. Pool side service comes in cute Benton style boxes. We enjoyed Grilled Fish Tacos (my favorite), Mango Freeze, Açaí Bowl, Pizza, and two Hamburgers as a group. Restaurant is the only option for breakfast and lunch. Service was good and the Food is good enough. They have a continental breakfast and a full buffet. You can also order from the menu. Anything from the menu including eggs to order, waffles and French toast all take a long time. The charcuterie selection is decent but should be chilled. The cheese sits out and sweats. Butter croissants are delicious. Fruit options are simple - pineapple, cantaloupe, melon and maybe a few more. I never saw a strawberry or mango in the 5 days I dined there. Fruit also wasn't cold. All room temperature. Try the local juices to see if you like them. I stuck with apple juice each day. Be sure to cover your food if you leave the table for any reason. The black birds are everywhere and they will eat off your plate or table. This restaurant also serves the pool for lunch and all day drinks. Pina colada and rum punch - both with a floater were excellent. Ordered a chicken and shrimp quesadilla. It was delicious!! I even had it a second day. They also offer a spicy crab nacho option. Delicious but the crab is imitation not lump crab meat. I'm from Maryland. Come on now. But again, the flavors were fantastic in the dish. I want so badly to give Seagrass five stars--the food is absolutely delicious. The chefs here have truly perfected their craft. Everything on the menu was delicious, fresh and served brilliantly. The hamburger, fries, pizza, mahi mahi tacos, grilled chicken, quesadilla, homemade hummus....all delicious. I'm truly going to miss them all!! Lol There are a few problems that prevent the five star. The birds are both fierce and plentiful and there is a stray cat that freely roams the restaurant. Both things are completely unsanitary and need to be addressed and fixed as soon as possible. Yes, the service can be slow but to me, that wasn't as big of a deal as the birds/cat. Slow, bland, overworked servers, incorrect orders, and overpriced menu. This place has it all! You're stuck because you're at the hotel (insider tip: don't stay at the hotel; we're only making that mistake once!) Went here for breakfast a few times and lunch a few times (again because you basically have to). It was always slow and ranged from bland to below average food. Several of the servers were very nice but they were under-trained and overworked. In a sense there's no reason to even read this review because if you stay at the hotel you're going to have to eat here anyway... sorry! read more

Sea grapes is a modern, charming joint located next to the pool at Puerto Rico's St. Regis resort. This dainty outlet provides for a refreshing start of the day, as I experienced with the açaí bowl, or a superb luncheon, as demonstrated with the caprese salad. Ate there 3 times trying to give different dishes a chance. We did have one great waiter, Noel, who was incredible. He anticipated needs, was full of energy, and quick. I gave Seagrapes a low rating in February, but returned recently. AThis restaurant has completely revamped the menu (and apparently changed the chef). The food is delicious now and the atmosphere (as always) is great for lunch. The only negative is that it's expensive, but it is on property at the St. Regis so that's par for the course. read more

We ordered in room dining at the hotel (made by sea grapes) and food was not even half bad. The bread are the best. Lobster bisque tastes lovely and the ribeye steak is flavorful, out of my expectation. Maybe it's the in room dining experience that makes me feel the food tastes good. But I'd love to do it again when I stay here more sometime later. Yes it's expensive. So I'll give it a 4star for them to improve the food and the choices. read more

Service in the dining area was SLOOOOOW. The service pool side was on point! Pricey. Kids chicken tenders and fries ($11 per), Burger and fries ($23), chicken quesadilla ($17). Food was super yummy though! Birds fly all around the dining area but staff makes sure to constantly to clean their droppings off of tables and chairs. Unfortunately, you only have so many options when you're staying at the St Regis. I tried several things on the menu and I'm going to highly recommend the Mahi Mahi Tacos! They're flavorful and filling. It has a nice kick with the sauce as well. It's just the right portion so that you're full but not bloated for more fun by the pool and beach! I've also tried the Tuna Tartare, Chorizo Pizza, as well as the Grilled Kobe Burger. I would go for the Chorizo Pizza after the Mahi Mahi Tacos as the other two were not that great. Seagrapes serves the pool and beach area at the St Regis. So, unless you posses the super-human power to not drink an adult beverage while laying poolside, you will be patronizing this restaurant. The hostesses and waitstaff were incredibly friendly. However, the service was incredibly slow. Especially considering that the neither the pool or the restaurant area were busy. The food was alright. I started my meal with a peach bellini. It was a watery disappointment. I tried the prosciutto + pear pizza. It was tasty, but not hot. Had I not waited 30 minutes to get it, I would have sent it back to be heated further. For dessert, I split the S'Mores flatbread with my friend. It was delicious. I think I had 3 during my stay. Kudos to whoever thought up the recipe. You can expect to have company of an avian variety at your table. There were a couple dozen birds patronizing the restaurant. You expect to see birds at an outdoor eatery, but not this many. Our waiter eventually asked if we would like a plastic owl at our table. This did cause the birds to keep a certain distance. But why don't they have a few of these set out all the time, instead of just by request? Since Seagrapes is the only place available on the resort to get a quick bite or drink, you will probably eat here out of necessity. It is not a place I would choose otherwise. read more

Edible food that does the trick if you are starving, but mediocre at best. Definitely not the quality that you would expect from a high-end property, and the service is hit or miss. There are only three restaurants on site at the St. Regis and each is okay. But if you are staying at the resort Thursday thru Saturday, I would avoid the on-site dining and go next door to The Beach Club (short walk along the beach). Here's your quick St. Regis dining guide ... Seagrapes = GOOD. Molasses = VERY GOOD. Fern = GREAT. The mahi (or was it grouper?) sandwich met our expectations but wasn't anything too special (3 stars out of 5). The sweet potato fries were pretty crispy and tasty though (4 stars). On another day, I got the prosciutto + pear pizza and really enjoyed that crispy crust and salty prosciutto (4 stars). However, my wife ordered the veggie quesadilla and was quite disappointed in the lack of flavor (2 stars). As far as drinks go, the virgin Miami Vice got 3.5 stars from the wife and the non-virgin mojito earned 2.5 stars from me (sadly, mostly sugar & lime flavors with just a hint of mint & rum). For us, Seagrapes get 3.5 stars overall and wasn't quite good enough to round up to 4 stars. Decent food at fairly high prices, excellent service and amazing location. If you're at St Regis and you want food near the pool or on the beach, you'll be ordering at Seagrapes! read more

Restaurant~ we ate there once for dinner :I got the grilled romaine (meh) & margherita pizza (too much cheese made it soggy) & hubby got the coconut shrimp & blackened mahimahi (salty, but good flavor). Banana ice cream sandwich is meh...sounds better than the actual dessert. Caiprinha was delicious~ hubby ordered it on multiple occasions. Lunch was light & simple, caesar salad & wraps. The fact that I have to write a review like this for a "5 star resort" restaurant is just sad. To start, I had a sour taste going into this meal because the beach club just down the road(also in the resort) served me a "filet mignon" that was embarrassing and pathetic. The only reason this review is getting 2 stars is because the views can't be beat. However, if you're staying in St. Regis, do yourself a favor and hire a personal chef with actual skills. Both restaurants put their chefs names on the menu but I wouldn't want my name on there. My Po Boy fish sandwich($19) from Sea Grapes was generic and quite frankly, I could have gotten better streetfood in San Juan. The ketchup and all other condiments are in glass bottles that you'll spend an hour fighting with. You're lucky if your server makes it to you even when they're not busy if you need another beverage. But the food, channeling Gordon Ramsey, is seriously a what the bleep moment. You're staring out at the beautiful blue sea watching the waves wishing someone in the resort knew how to cook. The problem is seldom the staff but more often the F & B management is cutting corners in places they ought not to. Go somewhere else or eat at home. read more

Well in our case burnt nachos and undercooked fries.We asked for truffle fries and try were soggy. When we asked to exchange it for regular fries, they said we don't have regular fries. A few of them were able to give us some great recommendations for off property restaurants because if you are staying at the hotel for a week, you definitely need some variety.
