I found Quest Restoration through the BBB and am so grateful for finding a reliable company that I…read morecould depend on and trust. I am a single older woman with little homeownership experience who needed to be able to trust the people willing to fix my home. I had a leaky roof three years ago with attic water damage in my bathroom ceiling. After thoroughly investigating my attic, Pete took the time to explain to me about my attic situation and the little mold that was there, and then discuss my options, giving pros and cons for each way I could proceed. No hard sell. Just down to earth procedures and recommendations. I was able to make an informed decision about how to proceed. Fixing the damage will be a very small job and Pete gave me the name of another reliable company that could handle it well. He wouldn't even charge me for the assessment though I would have been delighted to pay for their time and expertise! A very positive experience.

Will NEVER hire Quest again . Jeff the "project manager" took the job of getting water out of my…read morebasement when in fact, they didn't have enough pumps available. He promised that he would be able to salvage my new carpet and when they failed. Jeff refused his crew to remove it days later after mold and mildew smell started in. My insurance agent said the carpet was unsalvagable and to remove it. QUEST refused to do so and when confronted how inadequate of a job they did, Quest notified their lawyers to harasse me for full payment of 6,500.00! In the lawyers letter, Jeff made false statements. When I contacted the lawyer to speak with the owners of Quest, they refused to listen to me the customer and demanded payment. I felt bullied and belittled since I am a female by Jeff after he laughed in my face and smirked how wrong he thought I was. When I asked a male neighbor to explain to Jeff how my basement smelled because of the moldy carpet and he could see wet spots where heavy furniture was, Jeff knew he was wrong and left telling the other worker to pull fans out of my basement that they were done! My basement read out at 70 percent humidity STILL after several weeks. At one point, I was promised the smell would go away after shampooing the carpet. I said I didn't think so but allowed them to "try" and stating if it still smelled, I needed it out due to health risk to my asthmatic 3 yr old. QUEST did not care or listen to my request leaving me pull out 1200 square foot carpeting that was a year old by myself and I had to hire someone else to dispose of it. Yet, they demand full price! I NEVER even had my plumbing friend bill them for the use of his trash pump and for him losing customer business that evening after we asked several times if they could find more pumps so he could go pump other clients basements, but QUEST couldn't get any more pumps since they took on too many jobs that evening. My plumbing friend lost business and money that night because of Quest lack of service. Shame on the owners for not wanting to hear the truth and are so creed that in the end, they want money not a customer to feel heard and satisfied. They demanded 1000.00 that night and in my distress I never listened to my gut when it said this doesn't feel right. I have had four basement floodings and not once had I had a restoration company ask for money before they would help. Big clue!

Unfortunately we had A&W install a mini split system. We found out too late that the equipment they…read moresold us shouldn't have been sold or installed in this climate. The company made installation errors, only correcting one of many. These errors resulted in high electrical bills because our water pipes froze ...due to the mini splits failure, shutting down in the sub zero temps. All promises were lies from their sales team. It was hard to get them to come in with the warranty to fix problems. The system shut down in the cold multiple times last winter. They wanted to blame all of this on cleaning issues, however the units (we have 5) were all actively leaking coolant. We eventually had to call another company to help us... The other company was surprised by the shotty work done by A&W, and that they would have sold us the mini splits we still have and will need to add heaters to in order to get by again this winter. Please do yourself a favor and find another group... This was stressful, freezing, and a huge money pit trying to figure this whole mess out.

BUYER BEWARE. I would not use AW Heating & Cooling again…read more I paid nearly $20,000 for a Breeze33 mini-split system installed by AW as the primary heating system for my northwest Ohio home. It has struggled to maintain adequate heat during very cold weather, forcing us to use space heaters and heated blankets while my winter electric bill reached approximately $1,000 per month. Based on its actual performance, I do not believe this was an appropriate primary heating solution for our climate. I also experienced repeated heating failures and refrigerant problems. At one point, my family had to stay in a hotel for nearly a week because we did not have adequate heat while waiting for service. To be fair, AW was initially responsive and repaired at least one flare fitting under warranty. Over time, however, communication became less cooperative, interactions became rude, and service delays became much longer. During another heating failure, AW was taking so long to respond that I contacted Airstream Heating & Cooling simply to restore heat. AW later inspected the system but did not identify the refrigerant-loss problem. The following winter, VonDeylen evaluated the system and found a bad flare fitting and no refrigerant. I also have photos showing the system displaying a PC02 Breeze33 protection/error code. I ultimately paid $873.63 out of pocket for corrective repairs and requested reimbursement from AW. They refused. I filed a complaint with the Ohio Attorney General's Consumer Protection Section, and AW declined to resolve the matter through the AG's voluntary dispute-resolution process. After spending nearly $20,000, I expected reliable heat, competent installation, and reasonable support. Instead, I experienced repeated failures, additional repair costs, poor winter performance, and extremely high electric bills. If you are considering AW for a major HVAC installation, I strongly recommend getting a second opinion and getting all equipment, sizing, and installation details in writing. I wish I had done that before spending nearly $20,000 with this company.

We were looking for a company and person to complete two jobs around our house. One job was putting…read moreup lattice around a three-season porch and putting in a sub-floor and vapor barrier in that same porch. The other job was to enclose a front porch (with walls, windows, and a door. Now we are very picky when it comes to hiring a contractor. We tend to have multiple contractors come through to give quotes on a job. And I can say without a shred of exaggeration or doubt that Wagner Builders is the absolute best company I have ever hired to do a job at any of the properties I have owned or lived at. From the beginning Kevin (the owner) was unbelievably accommodating. He was willing to come over pretty the same day that I called him. When he came over he was attentive in listening to our needs and such a engaging person. He didn't talk over our heads or seemed rushed. He genuinely wanted to know what we wanted in our home. As he listened he would give suggestions as to ways we might complete the project and offered ideas without pushing an idea on us. One thing that was very helpful is he explained not only what he would do, but why he was recommending that. For example, many contractors had suggested ways to close off the bottom of my elevated porch. However, the ideas were mainly to completely shut it off in some way. Kevin explained that he wouldn't recommend closing it off as it would block off a vent to the crawl space and that could cause major issues long term under the house. Moreover, he even called about a permit and the requirements for a build right on the spot to make sure we all understood what the possibilities were on our front porch. No one had done that before. To me it showed he really cared about his craftsmanship. He sent us a quote that night (which was much faster than some who came and never even sent us a quote). He wanted to know what our budget was so he could tailor a quote to maximize what we could get for our money and budget. His quote was clear, itemized, and was well within our budget. He called to discuss the terms and answered all of our questions. Honestly, this is a factor that I really want to highlight. Mr. Wagner is extremely available if there are questions or thoughts. He answered our e-mails, returned calls, and even called us frequently throughout the process to give us updates, progress reports, to ask what we like, what we might not like, etc. I talked to Mr. Wagner on the phone more than any contractor ever. And this is such a great little touch to the level of customer service they provide. We asked to have some alterations made to the contract and he accommodated that request immediately and sent a new contract over via e-mail immediately. He then came the next day to have the contract signed. As soon as we had the contract signed he began working on ordering the materials. One really thing we really liked was he didn't just go get the basic material you could find anywhere. He went around our house on the outside to look at what was already there and wanted to match the style of the project to match our already existing home. He didn't ask for more money for this. He didn't say it would be harder. He just did it because he felt that was what should be done. Unlike other contractors we have had who simply wanted to give us stock options he worked a customized 4x4 Anderson window into our project that would be matched to the windows we already had. We were so impressed by his attention to detail. As we waited for the project to start, Mr. Wagner made several calls to us to check in with us to let us know what was going on. Again, I cannot say enough about how nice it was to have all the information. Once the work began our satisfaction definitely didn't diminish. The team showed up promptly around 7 a.m. each day and worked quite fast and diligently. There was not a single time we had to ask where they might be, or when they were coming back. Honestly, they were often there before we even went to work. Our back porch was done in essentially one day and the work was extremely well done. There was no mess and honestly they went way further than I thought when it came to items like the lattice. They dug down to make sure the lattice was deep enough to keep all critters out. They also installed extra posts to make sure the lattice was secured. They did this without raising the price or saying "surprise". They did this to make sure it was done right. The front porch was no different. They worked quickly and the quality was astonishing. The siding was perfectly matched to our outside siding. Every step of the process he would call once or twice a day to update us and let us know what was going to be happening next or to ask what we might have questions on. You will not be disappointed with this company. Their professionalism, quality of work, and attention to detail are unparalleled.
