I have used the services of DG Electric twice in the past 4 years and have found them excellent. The last time, they replaced lights, added lights and outlets, and added wall heaters. The work was done over a period of a couple of months as my wife and I kept changing our minds as to what we wanted done. What started with the replacing of a single light turned into a much larger project. Don and John (father and son) were always punctual, hardworking and focused on the work at hand. They were very patient with our changing work orders. They also educated us in the selection of light bulbs. Buying a light bulb is no longer simple and they guided us through the process. We recently worked with this company. Our outside electric meter and panel had stopped working. Due to the nature of the problem and the current heat levels we could not wait days or weeks to have it fixed. This company arrived Saturday morning, inspected our meter and determined it needed replaced and additionally, some minor repairs on the box were needed. I was told it needed to be done today or we could wait till next week. I made the decision to have it fixed on the spot, but was incredibly surprised to hear the price for a simple replacement and repair that took less than 2 hours. $2400 for a new box and a couple of wires reinstalled, all outside. I am frustrated because I felt I had to make the decision to say yes, knowing little about the issue myself and having no other current options. Had I know before hand how little work needed done I would never of agreed to such a steep price. read more

Spoke with "Alex" and the owner "Don" and set up an important service request for the following Monday (5-day notice!). Not only did they not show up, but when calling back, said they never had it on their board. When I re-sent them the request, they called me the next day to say they can't make it as they are booked up. Very unreliable company. read more

These guys are the best. I bought an old home that needed a lot of work. The first two electrical contractors gave me quotes for totally replacing my home's wiring. Then Don and John came in and explained why my old wiring was very safe and functional and did not need to be torn out and replaced. They showed me where the problems were, gave me a quote and a timeline for the work, and then they got it done, as promised. They also added some new outlets without destroying my old walls and they made sure the entire system was up to code, safe, and would meet the needs of my family. I've had them back for several other jobs including LED landscape lighting and exterior outlets. Our old home looks awesome. read more

I must say if you need any kind of electrical service done at your home or business, look no further than DG Electric! I had several electricians and contractors into my home to get estimates on running a 50amp service 220 sub panel out to my Hot Tub. I could not believe how professional and courtious they were right from the very start. Not only that, but I also received the feeling that they really wanted to do the job and help me accomplish just what I had in mind almost as if they were doing the job for themselves at their own home. Thy were very knowledgable, very helpful and very courtious. There original quote for the job was very close to many of the other electricians that I had over, and a few days after they originally quoted me a price they called me and lowered the price and I would say it was fairly substantial. They set the job up for late on a Saturday afternoon, which I thought was great! Yes they work weekends and don't charge any premium rates, the owner of the company came over at appointed time to do the job and was very polite and came in and double checked out the job that his partner gave me the quote on and then told me that his partner was tied up on another job that day and asked if they could do the job the next day, which was Sunday, I thought great! No problems, not only did they do it on Sunday, the very next day, but they also told me that they were also going to take off another $50 for the incovienience of having to wait an extra day to get the job done. They both were absolutely terrific! These guys know exactly what they are doing and it's rather obvious to me that they take pride in the job and what they are doing. Take it from me, I am very picky and am the type that wants things to be done in a specific way and orderly fashion. Like I said, look no further as these 2 guys are what I would call the best around. Not only for the quality and professional way that they do the job but would also have to say for the price and just the way they made it obvious that they really were interested in helping me with the project at hand.
