I truly believe that the mismanagement of employees is causing the company a major downward spiral! I give it 2 stars but that's because of the guy that ever dry sent out to do our repairs on a job that in less than 2 years is having problems was very good! Dominic Salvazar was here first thing in the morning and gave us more information about how the job needed to be fixed correctly so that we would not have any more issue.. it took 3 different crews over 2 weeks to do the initial job and it was not even done properly! If everdry was really smart they would put a young man like Dominic in a position where he was running his own crew and teaching the crews how to do it right! Dominic showed real integrity and initiative in trying to problem solve and correct the situation the right way the first time and not cutting corners to just pacify the problem.. Dominic would be great in a leadership role and truly made us feel comfortable that he was going to try and make sure the job is done right to avoid future service calls about the same problem! PLEASE READ Let me start by saying I am not someone who usually writes reviews, but our experience with this atrocious company needs to be a warning for all future clients. A classic bait and switch. From the sales pitch to job completion, this company was worse than a joke. Every attempt to make any concern right was given minimal effort at best. The sales rep, Jerry, was pushy and overstayed his welcome. He used scare tactics like mold growth and stated there was significant structural damage to the walls, and after reading other reviews, that's all part of his pitch. He gave a price, and then it kept changing based on how soon we could sign and start. He stated the job would be done in a week. *it took 3 weeks* He sold us on an inside and outside waterproofing system with a drain system put in both inside and outside. After buying, we were told they determined in our area we wouldn't need an outside draining system, so they omitted that with no change in price. We stated more times than I can count that we would need more time to discuss amongst ourselves before making the decision to sign with them before he finally left. We signed on because of the financing options available. Once the job was started, it was clear they were overloaded with jobs because we barely got a full day's work from the crew in the three weeks it took to complete. During the project, there were problems with workers using our personal tools like our tape measure, drill, floor squeegee, and extension cords without even asking first. We knew they had been used as we found them out of place and covered in dirt and concrete dust. The floor squeegee and extension cords were even taken off of our property and brought back days later only after we mentioned they were missing. The straw that really broke the camel's back was the last day of the project. The "project manager," Brandon, waited until the final walkthrough (which was on Monday) to tell us that a worker had unplugged our deep freezer in our garage on the past Thursday (the last day they had been working). So, it had been unplugged all weekend and it was literally full of breast milk: 5 months of pumped and frozen breast milk for our infant daughter. Brandon told us to contact Chris at the office, and they would make it right. We contacted Chris, and he offered $500. We did a calculation on how much formula would cost equivalent to the amount of breast milk we had saved, and it was somewhere around $850. We asked to be reimbursed that amount. Chris offered $1000 for that and the use of the tools. We accepted, but nothing compares to the mental anguish of a postpartum mother who lost 5 months of pumped milk to feed her child. Upon completion of the job, everything was filthy with concrete mud in our basement, garage, and driveway, and they did the bare minimum to clean it. Plastic flashing on the base of the walls was sloppily put together, and the concrete sealer used was slopped all over everything. We asked Chris to come out and assess the job after all the problems we had with the crew, and he did send a second crew out to correct the flashing and clean it again, but it was still a subpar job for almost $30,000. We were also led to believe they would be running the sump pump discharge to the street, and instead, they said they basically didn't have the time to do that, so we have a permanent puddle in our front yard now. Weeks later, we had issues with a pipe that they had busted while jackhammering. They busted a water pipe and fixed it with a 'shark bite,' and then it started leaking, so Chris came out again to install another 'shark bite,' so that's an ongoing issue. Buyer beware. There were 100 little things that are not listed in this review like appliances in the basement being uncovered and filthy and the workers busting our washer drain line and doing nothing to rectify it. Everyone was very unapologetic or insincere about the bullshit that occurred over the weeks they were in our home. I wish I would have taken the reviews more seriously because this company is trash. read more

The whole process is overwhelming and further complicated by everyone giving you conflicting information. Be prepared to advocate for yourself. Can't really say that I recommend them. Maybe once I know that the basement is fixed and stays dry I will feel like all of the hassle was worth it. The salesman was pushy and was prepared to spend several hours at my house to make the sale. If you want any kind of discount you have to be willing to sign a contract on the spot. I asked to just have till the end of the day to decide and that was not acceptable. The prep guy Ron tried to tell me I needed 5k worth of additional work than what I was quoted and signed a contract for. After calling the office and having another rep come out, I was reassured that the initial price doesn't change. Turns out someone was hoping to make some extra commission had I blindly agreed to the additional charges. There was also a lot of confusion around updating an outlet for the sump pump to a GFCI outlet. The cost of this was written into the contract and eventually it was done but the run around was unnecessary and made me further question the integrity of the company. The foreman, Jose B, was good and seemed very passionate about doing a good job. It was just hard to know who was trustworthy. I'm not happy about the location of the sump pump. I was told by the foreman this was the only option. Would've been nice to know before committing to the contact. My basement had been having some issues with water getting through the walls for a while so we decided it was time to look into getting something done. We called around the area and had a couple of people come out and give estimates and let us know what they could do. Everdry happened to show up on our doorstep one day in the midst of getting local companies to come give estimates so we thought it was meant to be or something. They gave us a quote after inspecting the basement. The guy they sent out to do the quote was over the top about everything. I was told that everything could be done within a couple of days and they even managed to squeeze us into the schedule sooner rather than later. My husband and I did all the prep work because we were told it would save us some money (in the end we should have just let them do it). While they worked I was far from impressed. Never covered stuff up right so everything got so dusty, I had to fix the covering in order to keep my house from becoming a total mess. So much dust! It was upstairs and they tracked dust from the basement all the way up the stairs and all over my kitchen floor. They also all had foul mouths so I left my husband at home to keep an eye on them while I took our kids out who didn't need to hear that kind of talk. So loud too and not just the job part, they were all extremely loud talkers. When they were all finished I was far from impressed. What they did was NOT even close to being worth what we were charged. We got screwed. They also did a subpar job on the concrete work that they had to come out and fix and they rigged up the sump pump and have been out twice to fix that. I had scheduled an appointment for Everdry to determine what repair my basement needed to stop the water that was coming in. Was advised that myself and wife must be available for the consultation that would follow the inspection. I said OK and was told the consultation may be over an hour following the basement assessment. The day before the visit, received a call from Andrea to confirm they would be here the following day and ask if I and wife were ready. I advised that my wife would be available for the inspection and only the first hour of the consultation due to another appointment that she had to attend. Andrea advised that this was not acceptable and that wife must change other schedule and be available for full consultation no matter how long it would last. EverDry is unfortunately not a great organization to do business with. They offer poor repairs, poor judgement, and poor quality of work overall. They tend to take many shortcuts, and create excuses for labor practices and tell the customer he or she is in the wrong. I do not recommend you to spend your money with this business. They do not fix the solution. They only put a bandaid on the issue. Please consider other alternatives before wasting your money on them. Response to owner: Talking about more than enough grace? If the job was done correctly then we wouldn't have had your company come out several times to fix the ongoing issues. I have given you enough time to get it right. I lost trust with your poor judgement and quality of labor. I would not allow you into my home any longer since the job is botched. It's great to put the blame into the previous owner and not take accountability, this shows the true colors of the organization. I truly enjoyed being misled when I was informed that the walls were not injected by your organization but in the paperwork it was paid for, and your employees said that they injected the walls. The work was done last year and there is more water in my basement now than before they did the work. All I get is "someone will call you back" every time I call. This review is for Everdry of Findlay, Ohio since Toledo is the only one that pops up for review. 6/7/23 - Met for free inspection/estimate (150 year old stone foundation 1/2 basement, 1/2 crawlspace, total 36'x24'). Never flooded, only seepage, odor & some mortar damage. The inspection was not thorough (did not enter crawlspace), distracted (he talked off topic), disorganized (shuffled papers, couldn't figure out the configuration of our space), but also full of sales/scare tactics, we were rushed for time & he would not leave when we told him we needed time to think on it. Diagnosis: mold/air quality, leaning wall, water in walls and under floor pressure. Recommendation: multi-step system for $19,000. We were immediately approved for financing & got a special order discount for being able to start as soon as their schedule opened up which happened to be the next week. We paid a $500 "good faith" deposit and confirmed with someone on the phone. 6/9/23 We regretted the decision so called to cancel. The project ended up being put on hold instead. 6/12-6/21 Our 2nd opinions offered thorough & professional inspections, diagnosed less problems & recommended less invasive work. Suggested that Everdry recommendations were not necessary & would damage the integrity of the structure. 6/23/23 Met J*** J***** to cancel. He said no & gave us three options: pay approximately $4100 on the spot, put a lien on our house, or amend the contract & begin work ASAP. Negotiated 5 hours. We felt like hostages so we tried to be as accommodating as possible. We decided to settle on the minimum quoted option from the original contract for $5500. He added Durashield wall panels to the order for $2600 extra & refused to remove it. We felt pressured to do something and wanted resolution with the least impact that would give us a little time, so we signed the amended contract. 6/25/23 We called after hours & left a message to state our intentions to cancel and are contacting BBB and leaving reviews in hopes of quick resolution read more

We have a large basement but it had no water intrusion. There are two vertical cracks and one horizontal crack that I wanted fixed. You will get the typical sleezy salesman pitch, sign now and it will be X% off. Unfortunately, we fell for it. EverDry started work on a Monday 28 Nov, 2022 (cold weather). The first day the foreman got the crew started but left due to another job that was just finished and had water in their basement. He came back in the afternoon to finish day one. On day two the demolition work was completed. They forgot to turn the furnace back on. They asked me to go down and unwrap the furnace and turn it back on (not a huge deal but kind of an inconvenience). On the third day the foreman was injured so he wasn't here. The crew finished the work and left. On Thursday night I looked at the work and found several problems. The StablWall systems looked as though they were installed incorrectly (based on information I found on StablWall website). Friday I got ahold of StablWall directly to confirm, StablWall was upset at how poorly their product was used and represented. I called EverDry to let them know that the work wasn't done correctly, they were aware because StablWall had gotten ahold of them and let them know as well. They also left my furnace drain draining into the basement, my furnace was under 1/2" of water. I had to call EverDry twice to get someone to come and put a temporary fix to the furnace drain. A manager came out on the following Tuesday to assess the situation. He said they will redo the StablWall straps and correctly fix the furnace drain. He scheduled them to come out on Friday. They came on Friday and removed the original StablWalls and installed new ones. They completed the work and left (forgetting to turn the furnace back on again). Upon inspection, the work was better but there were some air bubbles behind the StablWalls that needed to be rollered out. I called EverDry, they sent the foreman back to fix them. There were also smears of blue epoxy on my water heater and basement door that the foreman cleaned when he came back. The Friday work was also done without covering any of my items in the basement, everything was covered in lots of dust. I am left worrying about the work that was done to replace the tile system under my basement that was done on day three without the foreman. From the quality of work done that day on items that I could see, I worry about the quality of the items that I can't see (buried in concrete). I will praise the StablWall team for assisting me in my problems but EverDry needs some help. I did not get $23,000 service or peace of mind. read more

Rude.... I saw this stand at the Lucas County Fair and they were trying to talk me into a free inspection, so I decided to be nice and schedule one. About 4 days before my appointment, I got a call that they had an opening but I had work - it was nice they offered though... Day before my appointment that had been scheduled for over a week now- I get called during work when I'm hosting a meeting - which I told the lady on the phone and she continued to ask me questions so I had told her again that I can't answer her questions and that I was working. I had to hang up because she wouldn't stop. Just two hours later I'm called again, and this time a guy is on the phone with me; he is telling me that it seems as if it's not the type of issue they deal with and that they don't want to "waste their time" sending an inspector out when really it would've helped out their business and I was just being friendly from the beginning. Overall, I have been pleased with my interactions with Everdry. However, the salesman that came to 'sell' me the job promised a few parts of the job that were never done and I was told couldn't be done once it was time to actually have the work done. I had drains put in, a sump pump, waterproofing, and was supposed to have some kind of sealing done to the outside of my house. Besides that, the crews worked very professionally and got the work done. Communication among the project managers and myself was continuous and they addressed any concerns I had. I was able to get the work done in a timely manner and so far have been very pleased with the results! read more

This is a terrible company right down to the owner! They bamboozled my elderly parents, it is absolutely shameful. First the salesman comes and takes pictures in the crawlspace and proceeds to fill them with fear of all the terrible things happening under their house. For 20000 they will fix everything & when they called to tell them they decided not to have it done.... the slick owner of the company rushed straight out to convince them that it all must be done! Well..... his scare tactics worked Flash forward to the actual workers showing up for the job only to explain to them that everything that the salesman sold them cannot even be done on their property. They cut the deck off the house to put plastic down! It was too difficult a job to dig a trench and tar that half of the house so I guess the plastic fix was supposed to be a moisture barrier?Salesman talked of fancy drain system all around the house.... So what they ended up with is 50 ft of drain tile, a crock under the house with a sump pump that shoots 10ft in the front yard. Yes you heard that right...a beautiful white pvc pipe lays in the front yard and shoots water right in front of the house, the very house they paid 20000 to keep dry. When the workers were confronted about the work that was suppose to be done we heard a lot of we don't do that. Bonus* they also parked their big truck in the driveway and cracked the concrete! My parents call daily trying to have this fixed and all they get is you are in breach of contract, did you sign the contract? did you sign the driveway form? These people are the worst do yourself a favor and do not even consider these clowns to do any work for you and if you do bring your attorney along, you will need one sooner or later! read more

Our waterproofing was finished almost a week ago. The work was satisfactory. The experience was not. I was prepared to be inconvenienced and for the mess. What I was not prepared for was a foreman that was condescending, patronizing, and passive-aggressive. On day 3 I had to call 911 to send my husband to the hospital. No phone service. They had unplugged my router. My husband was literally being put into an ambulance when they arrived. But no, they couldn't mess up their schedule. And I was not going to leave my house unattended. I had to inconvenience some people to get a housesitter. I asked them to keep the gate closed. Every time I looked, the gate was open. They unplugged my freezer. Good thing I checked it. They broke the cover on my basement window well. They won't replace it. They screwed up my storm door. They left a bunch of debris behind. My husband is still in the hospital. VERY HIGH PRESSURE SALES! My mother's friend called me and asked me to look at her basement. She explained that this company had been there and told her that her basement would be crumbling and deteriorating if she didn't get a $25,000 basement system installed. She explained her husband had passed away a few years ago and her son was on a Doner waiting list and they had pressured her so much she was crying. I checked it out, her downspouts were bad, causing water to drain next to outside walls. I fixed for around $100. Since then we had 6 days of wet rainy days and no water at all. This company sure knows how to scam people by selling them (tricking them) into thinking they need this elaborate system. We have had massive flooding inside our home for a long time and could not solve the problem. This past fall we had Everdry out and Jay gave us a quote, explained in detail what would be done and how they would work with us. Over this winter even with the huge snowfall and melt this spring the basement has remained bone dry. There have been some extremely heavy rains since then resulting in catastrophic flooding in this area. Not a drop inside our home. I highly recommend Everdry! I had written a critical review on Everdry waterproofing due to promises that were made and not kept and after paying $14,000+ and still had sewage in my basement and a horrific smell, I was at my wit's end. FINALLY, a man named Tim Barnd from the Findlay office contacted me and offered to come to my home and assess the situation and see if we couldn't find a solution to the problem. To make a long story short, Tim helped me discover the real problem and helped me find a solution. His attitude was not what I was hearing from Toledo that it was my problem and Everdry had no responsibility even though I was promised the problem would be fixed, but rather, let's see what we can do to find the real cause and a solution. It cost me another $10000 to get the problem fixed because the problem wasn't something Everdry could have fixed and shouldn't have promised they could. Lessons I have learned: Before waterproofing, call a plumber and make sure the water in your basement is not a plumbing problem because Everdry does not do plumbing. Get a second opinion. READ CONTRACT THOROUGHLY AND ESPECIALLY ANY PART THAT GIVES "OR" OPTIONS. You might find you get the least "or" and not the picture they show you. SO, if you contract with a company and they don't live up to what they verbally promise, and leave you still with the problem, write a review on Yelp and maybe a knight in shining armor like Tim Barnd will come to your aid and help you get the problem solved. read more

Several years ago we had tree roots that were growing into and blocking our drainage lines beneath our basement floor perimeter. We called EverDry and they promptly sent our a representative who laid out a clear plan with cost. It was during the colder weather and he gave us a better price to keep his men busy. They worked efficiently and dug out around the exterior and tarred the walls. Inside, they broke through the floor around the perimeter to lay new lines and moved the sump pump to a further corner of the basement and neatly covered the old hole. It was a messy job that my wife and I feared would never get cleaned up. How wrong we were. They removed all of the concrete debris and when they were finished, our basement was as clean as it had been before the work started. Remarkable! This is a sad excuse for a waterproofing company they do not own a backhoe They have to rent one if they ever do any work around your house They say that they waterproof inside and outside which is a lie They came dug around the house 2 foot down and tarred Should have been dug all the way down to the foundation but they do not have a backhoe to do it so they did not do it the first time they came back three times trying to fix it finally after six years of water troubles they rented a backhoe told me they would put boards down so the yard would not get tore up they did not do that the yard got tore up they had to dig out the whole front of the house to tar put plastic and Styrofoam over the basement walls which one of the employees told me they should have done the first time they did it six years earlier The employees that tore up my yard went and bought 10 bags of dirt and grass seed told me I needed to take care of itWhen I called to complain about my yard being tore up to the owner of the company he did not have the respect to call me back The next day the operator of the Backhoe Called me threatening me telling me he is not coming back to fix my yard and I better not make any more complaints about him a definite threat Called the owner about that too busy to return my call I would recommend getting three estimates from reputable companies this is not one of them they should wear ski mask at work Don't make the mistake of calling this company you will be very sad and ripped off have a great day!!!!! read more

With all of the claims, the system was put in and the basement still leaked. I had water coming through the walls and they were arguing that it wasn't their fault. When they did admit fault they put up barriers on the inside of the basement so I could no longer see the seepage, but did nothing about the water damage occurring to my foundation. I would have someone else come in, but I still have this huge loan out for the crap work they've done. read more

When we had the salesmen to the house he promised things that were not possible. He stated when the contractors were here working that they could remove our old TV antenna when they were digging up around the foundation. When they got there to start working they were upset because they do not that. Also the salesmen stated that we could paint over the barrier that was put up in the basement. Not true because it had seam covers as well as rivets to hold it to the cinder blocks. We had to frame the walls and drywall to be able to really utilize the basement. I recently paid for a inspection for a property. The inspection that i purchased on Monday 4-1-2020 with a check is null and void from contractor Bryce Bookmiller; he gave a great presentation and after recieving very little help from Lucas & Lisa who constantly kept pushing me off to each other. I have the records to show that i talked to Lisa & Lucas today 4/2/2020. The property that i recieved multiple reports about from Bryce is apparently not sufficient. I have the inspection that the seller was given and i have my inspection report. I have never been made to fill more foolish then when submitting my report from Everdry to the seller and seeing that there was an over $20, 000 difference in estimates. What made this situation that much worse is that Lucas & Lisa"stated that they havent heard from; i have called and spoke to Lisa & Lucas multiple times today. Lisa kept telling me to call back because Dan manager was on lunch, so i called back multiple times. But was only able to speak to a contractor who gave me a run arround I ask myself why my estimated was so grossly discriminated upon. I would highly recommend not using this office. The sales person made it seem as if we needed to sign documents to reserve the quote and pricing. We even refused to pay the down payment because we were not sure if we wanted to do it or not. The sales person then said he could make a phone call to help out. He told the person on the phone that we were close friends and got us a $500 discount. Needles to say this took place in November. February we got a letter saying we owed $4,135. My wife called and said we were missed lead by the sales rep. and this was mistake. We were told that they would send a person out to help sort it out. That turned out to be Two people, a finance guy and the original sales rep. I was out numbered. My wife was in the other room taking care of our 1 month old and heard as they started explaining how the only thing could do was complete the work. I was told repeatedly that it did not matter that we were lied to, the only thing that mattered was the paper with our signature. I was told that there was nothing they could do. Putting customers off, not calling when they said they will, not showing up for "inspection" ...if that's the kind of business they do in good times...what do they do in bad times??? They cover all kinds of emergency issues, only that it takes them 3 months to even show up. I had the same experience, not only they are inconvenient that they work from 8 to 5pm only, but their staff is so unreliable that they would not show up, and not bother to call. They seem to take money and do nothing, and when it is time to deliver on all the things they promised, they put you on hold and their staff is never there, and never calls you back. Called for a free inspection then made sure to clear my schedule and took time off work when they said they would come. They never showed up, called them and they told me the service rep got held up. A little annoying when I took off work. Then the day before they are supposed to come for the rescheduled time they tell me they can't come unless my fiance is going to be there who doesn't even own the home or live there. So now I am back to square one searching for another company because our schedule doesn't work that we could be there at the same time without taking off work and I am not taking off work only to have them cancel again. EverDry did the waterproofing in our basement prior to us moving in. We have kept up on the warranty. The only time we have needed service is when we first moved in we had them come out to make sure everything was working correctly.
