We ordered the sausage cheese dip at the suggestion of another reviewer and it's a great choice! Large portion sbd the chips are seasoned just right. I had the grilled cheese brisket. Left stuffed and glad we ventured a bit off course for this place.

We will be back and definitely suggest this place for a night out.

I got the chicken and sausage one. It was a little spicy but that's to be expected. I was a little disappointed that almost all the appetizers were deep fried. We come to Murray to visit my wife's family and decided to try The Keg. It seems like they've got…read moresome Louisiana influence, which caught my attention since I'm from there. I didn't try those dishes this time, but I probably will next visit. We started with the cheese coins. The pepper jack was a great choice and definitely worth it. My wife got the fried gulf shrimp. The shrimp had a great crunch and were done well. The onion rings and fries felt like an afterthought though--the onion rings were pretty soggy. I had the Mac Lovin burger. Overall, it was good. The BBQ sauce was a highlight, just wish there was more of it. The burger itself was under-seasoned. The sweet corn nuggets were excellent and my favorite part of the plate. Overall, we had a good experience and I'd give it another shot.

There is almost always a wait but tonight we got seated pretty quick. The menu has quite a bit to choose from and unfortunately I feel like the prices have gone up and the quantity doesn't match what you are paying for. I ordered the fried shrimp. I asked for fries instead of the rice & beans. For $17.50 I'm expecting 8-10 shrimp...I got 5. They gave me the rice & beans and when they brought out the missing fries, they were stone cold. I was informed that since I didn't get the fries originally there, would be no substitution charge and that the rice & beans were on the house. My husband ordered the jambalaya entree that came with cornbread and a salad. Cornbread was a sliver but it appears he had the best meal of the night. Our friends ordered the chicken sandwich and it came with stone cold fries. The other ordered a burger that came without the cheese he requested (then was charged for asking for it) and stone cold fries. All fries were discarded and fresh ones brought out after awhile. 1 out of the 4 meals ordered was the only thing that turned out right. I kinda expected an apology or something for all the issues with our meals but nothing. The company we had was great. The dining experience was a let down.

MEO MYO is one of few restaurants in this town that provides a menu devoid of the usual fried fast food or burgers you will run into in most establishments in the area, and I was presently surprised as to how good the food was. I had the gumbo, and as one previous commenter mentioned, it's not NOLA but it's still the best gumbo I've had in the state of Illinois (outside of Chicago). Wasn't raised on the stuff but I went to undergrad in Mississippi so I like to think I can at least tell the difference between good and bad gumbo. Cornbread was also pretty good. Definitely give it a shot, I'll be back to try the etouffee and the shrimp and grits at some point in the near future. Attached is the menu-- Couldn't find it on here or anywhere online. Hope it helps
