Huuuuge Sigh, I started this review seven days ago and again…read moresixteen hours ago. My apologies for the delay. I will start by stating that I am from NOLA, where Cajun is KING!!! I've spent countless hours researching both "online" and local fresh seafood. Yearning for a taste of home and having literally spent thousands of dollars on what I l will refer to "research and development". I placed a order for fresh crawfish (sold in 2 ish or 5 ish Lb ziplock bags) boiled with all the amazing fixings which consisted of soft buttery melt in your mouth potatoes, Cajun smoked with flavor and not just heat sausage, an array of onions and vegetables that were infused with flavors that continued to build and did not disappoint in taste. Boudreaux' displays such a laid-back and welcoming atmosphere that it's a hard sell to believe that this is actually a place of business. What with the inviting atmosphere and the gang sitting around the table in the back of a business eating crab legs, my mistake crawfish. Along with the precious babies running around, add a Beautiful friendly dog the size of Marmaduke and what do you have?? Louisiana in the great state of Georgia!!!!! Will I be back??? Sadly I tried and they were out of EVERYTHING!!!! I Managed to snag a $25 bag of large buttery shrimp and was so grateful for the opportunity to purchase. Pricey you say, not as much as a airfare, Lodging and meals to Louisiana. They are making one last crawfish run this week and you'll find me anxiously awaiting their safe return. Good luck and bring her home guys!!!! I would be remiss if I failed to mention the snowballs. I ordered one as an after thought and really just to be kind and out of respect for the beautiful hard-working woman behind the counter. These are like snowballs you have never tasted before in life!!!! Firstly, how do you make a snowball taste like ice cream without ice cream??? The hundreds of flavors that they offer are amazing and show stoppers in themselves. I mean who would've thought seafood and snow balls, that just doesn't make any sense unless, you get a snowball from Boudreaux's not to be missed Both in efforts to cool off from the 90 to 100+ degree temperatures, but for all the good things that you can make it, get the Crawdaddy size, you won't regret it and your welcome Pros-- all of the above Only con -- I'm still investigating, clearly I missed something, I don't believe in perfection. If I have to commit it would call for a minimum of 35 additional visit's but, as a Yelp elite badge holder, it's all about the sacrifice. Your welcome

Hushpuppies were a bit dense but the flavor was great. The Brussel sprouts in my opinion were a tab bit overly done. For entrees we were so sad that a lot of the menu and specials were sold out! But I thoroughly enjoyed the shrimp and grits ate every last bit. Very rich but the roasted tomatoes gave it great balance. Shrimp was cooked perfect. Paired perfect with the Riesling!! For dessert we had the chocolate croissant bread pudding. This is a MUST get. Beautiful, classy ambiance and great service. The only recommendation I would have for service is if it is a Business Dinner maybe try and be a little less conversational. However, other than that our server was great and had gave great recs! There is plenty of parking. I'm not sure why it's called "at the river" bc I didn't see a river. There is inside and an outside enclosed area for seating when you enter from the parking lot. It is decorated like a casual bar and grill. My server was in training but friendly and worked alongside his trainer head server. For beverages, I ordered the oyster shooter and that Bloody Mary did not disappoint. I also had a Black Raspberry Margarita. This seems to be a thing in Augusta for Margaritas as well as this was the 2nd restaurant I went to and had this. The other place was better though. But let's talk about the food! The catfish was super tasty. They gave me fries although I didn't order them, and of course I still ate them. I had a side of baked potato salad.
