I asked her then and there how much it would cost for the alteration and she told me the price. A few days later I had gone back to pick it up with the receipt to pay and she decided to raise the price without informing me of the significant price difference. She claimed it was due to the dress having 2 layers of material rather than 1, however that was not mentioned during the initial conversation when I had asked how much it was going to be when I dropped it off.. When I told her I felt she was charging me entirely too much as well as telling her "that's not what you told me when I had dropped it off to you and we took measurements, you told me a completely different price that was much less?" she was so incredibly rude to me, wasn't budging or even listening for that matter. Keep in mind, I had been giving her my business for a long time. On top of her changing the price on me once I went to pick it up/ripping me off, she didn't even hem the dress according to the length we agreed on, it was entirely too long and literally dragging on the floor and she did not care whatsoever. Would NOT recommend coming here.

Before going to Ace French dry cleaners, I went to several other cleaners closer to my residence, but unfortunately, no one could Steam the dress the same day. Peter and his family took it upon themselves to stop everything they were doing and steam the dress for me on the spot without question, even though I was never a customer there before. While waiting for the dress, I had the opportunity to observe how they treat their customer , and it makes me so happy to know that there are still family operated businesses out there that care not only about the work they do but the people who bring them business. Their sign also say there is an extra charge for "same day" service not overnight service. It was my first time and last time going there. I like to support local businesses but not this one.
