Seabold Cellars has a small, quaint tasting room in Carmel Valley across from Roux between the olive oil store and Georis. It's cute and has a lovely outdoor area in which to taste. We were greeted promptly and service was friendly and attentive. We were offered a tasting of four wines out of the six on the menu offered to non club members for $18. Glasses were also available for $10. I chose the chardonnay, the two pinot noirs and the syrah. My husband had the same flight although he subbed the grenache blanc for the chardonnay. Pours were generous and our pourer did offer tidbits about each of the wines as she poured. The experience itself was lovely. Neither my husband nor I were fans of the wines. I found the chardonnay to be somewhat tart and the reds rather young and acidic. Perhaps more time in the bottle is needed? Understandably this is my personal opinion and everyone has different taste so I encourage you to give them a try for yourself. There are plenty of reviews from people who loved the wines. These were just not for me.

Memories brought home.

Such a relaxing patio to enjoy a few glasses of wine. Cynthia serving us is super friendly. Started by giving our dog Teddy a treat. The Chardonnay from Olson is full of flavor, crisp and appealing. Acidy yet smooth. A visitor the day before proclaimed that "the Pinot from Pelio Vineyards was a destination. The Pinot from Brosseau was a woman". . It is indeed a very good Pinot. Full body and pretty. Sweet, not vulgar. We bought a bottle. I can highly recommend this place as a quiet get away destination. No matter from where you are coming.

I visited Seabold Cellars touring the area hoping from different tasting rooms and this one stands out. It is cute and quaint with a personal and individual service feel. It's almost as if you're immediate friends with the host. There is also a relaxing ambiance with an outside patio with corn hole and a cute swing! Perfect for photo ops. The wine is also very good. Refreshing crisp whites, with both bold and smooth reds. I particularly liked their Pinot Noir. They even have a unique kombucha wine! 10/10 would recommend stopping in for a taste or a bottle!

This was the last spot we visited on a day on the wine trolley. We were in a rush because the wine trolley dude was texting my friend about the departure. The girl who helped us was so amazing and called us the trolley girls when we came. She quickly brought us our tasters with a smile and excellent service. I had already spent my wine budget for my day, so, I decided to not purchase a bottle here. Not because the wine wasn't good, I was trying to watch my budget. So good! I remember that! This is also a cute spot with a nice outdoor seating area. Along the other side is another outside seating area. I so want to come back! Because...the young lady serving us informed us of live music on Sunday's. She described it as a really fun afternoon with everyone in the area making their way over listen. Socially distanced of course. We had to leave due to the wine trolley drivers timely departure schedule. And we also had drink our wine samples a bit faster than I would have liked. Still delicious! Yeah! Cheers and happy Yelping!

This was a lovely spot and visit yesterday! Opened during Covid with limited hours and limited outdoor patio seating so I'd advise you to make a reservation. Pro tip: freelive music Sundays 3-5! Winemaker (and master sommelier!) Chris Miller puts out an impressive list of traditional and lesser known varietals, implementing lots of winemaking techniques depending on what he's trying to achieve with the grape... Or as he says "the grape tells" him. Katianna and team are friendly and take you on a fun journey of the wines depending on your tastes. I recommend stopping at the Cheese Shop in Carmel before your visit to grab some delicious cheeses and crackers to accompany your wines. Seabold allows snacks on site. Yay!

Happy Sunmer Break!! Cheers!

This place is the BEST! Cute and quaint tasting room with amazing staff. They are always so kind. I will never come to the valley without going to Seabold.

As a student who doesn't go to many tasting rooms/have much time to waste on weekends, I am so so so glad I chose to go to Seabold! It's a great place for anyone who wants an intimate, casual, and friendly setting (and great wine)! The outdoor area (which has seating and cornhole) is also the perfect place for cute photos. There's a bunch of restaurants in the area & parking is super easy. Katianna is so knowledgeable and easy to talk to, I would recommend if you want to stop in for a quick tasting or spend a whole afternoon!

Cutest little corn hole area with a fun tree swing for a lazy wine tasting day with the girls.

We reserved an outdoor firepit for a friend's birthday, and as other tables left, we sat at them since there were more people than chairs. The ambiance is really chill, pet friendly, baby friendly. A nice selection of wine, beer in a can and on tap and small bites. You order food and drinks inside, if you get food, they give you a number and bring it out to you once it's done. I highly recommend their grilled cheese and tomato soup. I wasn't trying to get that, but the very kind servers recommended it of all things and pretty much sold me on it. It was a great and delicious purchase to pair with the beer that I got, (I'm not much of a wine person). It's a very relaxing and beautiful winery with tasting rooms all around, both indoor and outdoor seating. There are fire pits and heaters everywhere outside in case it gets cold. I with the heaters, it never got too cold during the night. The servers also came out to tell us about last call for food but reminded us we were welcome to stay as long as we'd like. Great service, good snacks, good wine (so I've heard) and good beer.

Roslyn, the owner, was there at the bar counter, never came by to say hello, how was your meal, thank you for coming, ZIP, so we won't be back, very unprofessional. My girlfriend also secretly mentioned it was a birthday celebration, to no acknowledgment, which doesn't work in a small town. Sad, but true.

She has curated a fantastic selection of small production boutique wines. It's obvious she is very picky about what she will serve in her establishment because honestly they are all delicious and great quality. The location itself is just gorgeous. Local art is featured on the walls. The bar seating is comfortable and there are some tables as well. Overall, just a wonderful place to hang out. The thing that makes Vin special is that every single wine is available by the glass! We are talking a lot of wines. It's a wonderful opportunity to try something you won't find in the grocery store. She offers three flights as well; Swirl which is a mix of whites and reds, Savor which is all reds and Sparkle obviously champagnes. In addition, she offers cheese and charcuterie boards curated by The Meatery and a Tahini Fudge Brownie which is baked exclusively for Vin by Sweet Reba's. What would be a more perfect pairing with a nice red....wine and chocolate are just so good together! We stopped in most recently on a Friday night and were treated to live music by Bro. Great singer who was just perfect for the wine room. Roslyn does not carry any local wines which is fine by me. If I want a local wine I can stop at Taste of Monterey or the tasting room itself. When I am in the mood for something truly special, I'll definitely be stopping in Vin. The wines rotate so there is always something new to try. If you have not yet been, run, don't walk. You are in for a real treat!

The fun artwork and paintings throughout the restaurant added so much personality and made the space even more enjoyable. We started with the duck pâté and bread. The pâté was silky smooth with just a hint of sweetness, paired perfectly with the toasted bread. It literally melted in your mouth. The octopus with bean and honey sauce was another standout. The sauce complemented the octopus beautifully. The octopus itself was incredibly tender and soft -- not chewy at all -- and honestly reminded me of some amazing octopus I had while visiting Portugal. The mussels came in a very generous portion, and the tomato sauce was so good you could drink it by itself. For our mains, we had the sea scallops and the seared tuna, and both dishes were excellent. Everything tasted fresh, thoughtful, and well executed. The coffee and tea cups were the Bodum brand, great quality, double-lined, and they kept the drinks warm while still being comfortable to hold. Definitely a memorable dinner in Pacific Grove, and I'd gladly come back again.

We enjoyed both the service and ambiance, very attentive and clean inside. What works here? The duck liver pate was excellent, so creamy and all that fat along with it. The mussels, yum also very good! We also enjoyed the recommended seafood bolognese, very flavorful! What didn't we care for? Unfortunately, the duck breast which was dry, and on the small side. We do eat probably wayyy too much duck so we are somewhat critical when we come across it. Definitely would return, always root for small businesses!
